Back in July, we had the distinct honor of checking out the debut video “On Your Side“ from Lovina Falls. Lovina Falls is the project of Valarie Forgione who was the lead singer for Boston 90’s alt-rock mainstays Mistle Thrush.
Today (September 27th) Lovina Falls gives us the stunning new video for “Vaulted”
The video for “Vaulted” like “On Your Side” was directed by Joan Hathaway. Both songs are taken from Lovina Falls spectacular debut album “Calculating The Angle Of Our Descent” which you can listen to on Spotify Here and on Apple Music Here

There always seems to be a little magic when it comes to music. Valarie Forgione artfully weaves her brand of musical magical by giving us a song with “Vaulted” that feels a like a mysterious adventure, covered in mystery at every turn.
On “Vaulted”, Valarie is joined by Brenden Cobb on madness guitar, with “Calculating The Angle Of Our Descent” co producer David Minehan adding additional guitar work and Chuck Ferreira providing additional drums.
Valarie shared the following about “Vaulted”
“‘Vaulted’ is about smoke and mirrors. It’s about being mesmerized, swindled, and ultimately turning the tables in self-defense. It is a circus of trickery, where the unusual becomes linked through illusion and showmanship. The song is a bit darker than most of the songs on the album and has a bit of underlying anger at how people treat each other.”
The video for “Vaulted” from Lovina Falls is a beautifully orchestrated presentation that lures you in with bright lights and eye catching vibrant imagery. We felt like we were right in the middle of the ultimate slight of hand trickery and we loved every minute of it.
Forgione stars alongside a traveling circus, and with her former bandmate Scott Patalano, of ‘90s-era alt-rock luminaries Mistle Thrush, as the magician. It was filmed on location at two distinct Massachusetts locations: The Quannapowitt Players theater group in Reading, and Lincoln’s Ponyhenge, an open field 15 miles northwest of Boston where the quiet landscape is mysteriously filled with old rocking horses and figurines, left to slowly decay over time.
“Vaulted” is a flawless musical and visual achievement that stay with your soul long after the music has faded.
Lovina Falls makes its live debut December 2 at The Rockwell in Somerville and we know it’s going be amazing.
