Last week we had the distinct honor of checking out the latest single “Sometimes I Want To Chokeslam My Phone on the Floor”, from Boston based band Impossible Dog. We were so impressed by the song that we literally had the tune in our head all week .I’m not sure if my bank or my local supermarket enjoyed me serenading them with “Sometimes I Want To Chokeslam My Phone On The Floor , but that’s what they got.
Now one week later, Impossible Dog has gifted musical lovers everywhere with the release of their magnificent new EP “Specifics”
You can listen to “Specifics” on Apple Music Here and on Spotify Here

“Specifics” was engineered and mixed by Evan Doherty and Mastered by Dan Coutant at Sun Room Audio
Right from the opening note of “Doggies” it is crystal clear that Impossible Dog are a band that is on the rise.
When listening to “Specifics” you can hear the great care that the band has taken in crafting their EP.

On “The Wheel”, Impossible Dog ((Devin Congdon, Evan Kelley, Evan Doherty, and Alex Bachman.) , present a melodic and harmonic work of art, what makes Impossible Dog stand out is their ability to artfully and musically connect the listener with well formed musical compositions. We found ourselves not only enjoying the melodic presentation of “Specifics” but, we were also drawn to the well written lyrics.
Our favorite track on “Specifics” is without question “Sludge” , it is definitely a song that deserves to be on constant repeat ( yep, it’s that good) . The percussive sounding beginning really stood out. We hear shades of Jimmy Eat World and Buffalo Tom, which make the song familiar, but Impossible Dog seem to have a musical secret sauce that makes their sound unique and memorable.
“Long Shot” is a beautiful wall of sound that washes over you and gently finds its way to your soul. “Long Shot” is one of those magical songs that stay with you long after the music had ended .
The final track on “Specifics “ is the highly memorable and highly addictive “Sometimes I Want To Chokeslam My Phone On The Floor” . We absolutely love this song , and it is the perfect way to end such a great collection of songs.
We can’t think of a better way of spending 15 minutes and 35 seconds than listening to the magnificent new EP “Specifics” from Impossible Dog.
