Singer-Songwriter Rosalie James Delivers A Beautiful Collection Of Divine Melodies With Debut Album “Full Of Chemicals”

We recently had the opportunity to check out the debut album “Full Of Chemicals “ from UK singer/songwriter Rosalie James . You can listen to “Full Of Chemicals “ on Spotify Here and on Apple Music Here

Rosalie James is a stunning artist who crafts warm and authentic songs that feel like intimate diary entries.

Hailing from Cornwall, UK. She grew up learning piano and guitar, listening to The Beatles and The Bangles on her bright yellow Sony Walkman, weeping over the impassioned drama of 80s synth-pop and new wave, obsessing over the lyrics of 90s dreampop and indie artists and drawing inspiration from anyone who could write a good song.

We were immediately captivated by Rosalie’s flawless vocals that added such a beautiful dimension to each song .

From the opening note on “My Nature” all the way through to “The Difference The Light Will Make” , Rosalie James had us hanging on every word and note .

The album is produced byDaniel Knowles (Sharon Van Etten, Cigarettes After Sex) and details her own struggles with neurodiversity, addiction and mental health.

Rosalie has experienced sensory sensitivities and difficulty managing emotions and social interaction since she was nine years old. She has been treated for severe depression and anxiety, premenstrual dysphoric disorder and substance use issues but it wasn’t until January 2023 that she was finally diagnosed with autistic spectrum disorder. For the first time, she feels able to live an authentic life. After two degrees and ten years working as a Social Worker in social care and mental health, Rosalie decided in June 2023 that it was time to return to her creative roots.

Leading single “Girl I Was” is a storytelling narrative of an important but destructive relationship from the artist’s past. The raw and honest song chronicles when someone gives one owns power away and the self growth that needs to occur to move on.

Rosalie James is an artist who beautifully leads with truth and authenticity in her music and the results are glowingly evident on “Full Of Chemicals “

Truth be told there isn’t a bad song on “Full Of Chemicals.

The one song that really stood out for us is the closing track “The Difference The Light Will Make” it is an absolutely gorgeous song that left us with goosebumps. In our opinion Rosalie , sounded like the late great Karen Carpenter from Carpenters fame .

Do yourself and check out “Full Of Chemicals” from Rosalie James, you won’t regret it.
