You can also watch the video for the single “Caves” below .
The National Parks (Brady Parks [vocals, guitar], Sydney Macfarlane [vocals, keys], Cam Brannelly [drums], and Megan Parks [violin] ) have delivered a brilliant collection of indie folk pop songs, with their new album “Wild Spirit “ that have literally taken our breath away.
The band says, “Have you ever been out in the woods and turned around and not known where you are or how to get where you were going? This is an album about feeling that way in life – lost. It’s about the uncertainty, the dark nights, the scary sounds of the wilderness, the loneliness and the heartache. It’s also about how beautiful and transformative getting lost can be. The smell of new flowers you’ve never seen and the way the sunlight breaks and beams through the forest canopy. When you start hiking up to higher ground, standing on the peak of a mountain and looking at the views of a sprawling valley of trees and rivers. I think we all go through times in our life where we feel the weight of being lost and this album dives deep to explore what it means to find yourself.”
In support of the new music the band has also announce the Wild Spirit Tour. See all tour dates below.
Every song on “Wild Spirit” is full of vibrant melodies and captivating lyrics that stay with you long after the music has faded . The National Parks are like skilled painters taking a blank page and crafting songs that literally belong in a museum.
“Wild Spirit” is one of those album that you can put on track one and let it run all the way to the end without skipping a single track “Caves, Scenic Route , the title track “Wild Spirit” and Timber!” are absolute gems that we can’t get enough of.
We are absolutely all in on The National parks and their stunningly beautiful new record “Wild Spirit” Be sure to check them out live ….. We have a feeling their live show is simply magical.
