We recently had the amazing opportunity to check out the highly anticipated debut album “Forever Young” from pop duo KTJ&CARLY ( spoiler alert it did not disappoint)

We here at The Whole Kameese listen to a lot of music. (We’re a blog it’s what we do) There is nothing more exciting than listening to a record that truly stops you in your tracks. “Forever Young”, the debut album from KTJ & CARLY is most definitely one of those albums.

Known for their blend of introspective lyrics, catchy hooks, and pristine vocals, this powerhouse duo delves deep into the tumultuous journey of their 20s—a decade defined by rapid change and self-discovery—that inspired every track on the new album

This fall, they’re taking their live show on the road with a tour scheduled to hit cities including New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and beyond.

From the first note on “Bitter” to the last note on “Carousel” it is crystal clear that KTJ&CARLY have crafted an album in “Forever Young” that is an authentic,melodic gem.

The opening track is an authentic and melodic work of art. The track comes alive both lyrically and melodically. As they bemoan, “I’ve only been awake for one / fraction of a minute / it was fucking nice forgetting / the laundry list I should get done,” the burgeoning beat booms beneath stacked vocals and vibrant sonic energy. Wrapped in a pristine pop package, ripe with immaculate phrasing and warm, full-throttled vocals, this expressive opener is one you won’t forget.

“Carbon Copy” is an extraordinary track, haunting and chilling it gave us all the feels . We definitely hit repeat on “Carbon Copy” a few times .

In the mini epic “Anne Glover,” KTJ & CARLY tackle the societal pressures on women to perform and meet unattainable standards. Reverberating with attitude, the otherworldly synths and dense vocals ripple to a moody, explosive chorus featuring gothic choral-inspired progressions. From the syncopated beat to dark, effervescent vocals, it’s a powerful critique of the exhausting demands for perfection and a call for genuine self-empowerment and authenticity

Every song on “Forever Young “ are solid musical compositions that absolutely shine . KTJ&CARLY have really hit their stride as artists. The title track “Forever Young “ is KTJ&CARLY at their absolute best . Strong heartfelt lyrics with perfect vocals make “Forever Young “ a song that simply takes our breath away .

There are a lot of music choices out there however, “Forever Young” from KTJ&CARLY is an album that will not only move your feet but it will also touch your soul.
