We recently had the chance to check out the stellar new single, “Anyway”, via Lauren Records, from Montreal indie rock four piece , frown line. You can listen to “Anyway” Here
“Anyway” has this real laid back coolness that struck us almost immediately. The track artfully explores the struggle to maintain relationships in the midst of a downward spiral. Blending jangly guitars with lush, melancholic textures, the track encapsulates a balance of vulnerability and nostalgia.
The song is the first of three upcoming singles. A significant evolution from the band’s origins, when songwriter Annika Devlin recorded lo-fi demos on a 4-track in her bedroom in 2020.

frown line draws from ’90s alternative aesthetics and contemporary influences alike to craft immersive soundscapes that complement Annika’s self-reflective lyrics – often deceptively lighthearted, yet secretly sad.
There is a simple but powerful truth within “Anyway” from frown line, and it is absolutely beautiful.
We absolutely can’t wait for more music from frown line.
