The album is a bold reflection on nostalgia, passion, and the paradoxes of modern life and fuses vintage soul, jazz, and cutting-edge electronic elements to create a sound both timeless and contemporary.

Arriving with the latest single “Growing Up With You,” Part A sees Marzec crafting deeply personal, emotionally rich soundscapes that examine the tension between memory and change. The track—rooted in vintage R&B textures, hypnotic grooves, and intricate instrumental layering—is a tribute to the relationships that shape us. Inspired by the windswept landscapes of Dartmoor, England, Marzec manipulates a haunting saxophone drone through his Morphagene sampler, layering it with drums, bass, and piano to evoke the bittersweetness of nostalgia and the comfort of lifelong connections. Featuring live drums from David Beauchamp (Johnny Flynn & the Sussex Wit, Jeffrey Lewis & the Junkyard, Dr. Dog), the track captures an intimate, organic feel.

The album also includes earlier single “I Can’t Get You Out of My Mind,” an electrifying fusion of funk, soul, and jazz, delving into the emotional turbulence of heartbreak. Opening with swirling synth arpeggios before dropping into a mesmerizing groove, the song showcases Marzec’s ability to blend classic songwriting with forward-thinking production.

Marzec’s music is deeply intertwined with the places that inspire him. “I’ve been away for a few months, but I always find myself drawn back to London, where my network of musicians and closest collaborators are. At the same time, I can’t stay away from Buckfastleigh, Devon,” he shares. “It was an accident that brought me to Buckfastleigh. Two years ago, I was living on a narrowboat—a fully off-grid lifestyle. It was during this time that my good friend and collaborator Theo Batchelor came to join me and ‘Red Boletes’ was written, channeling the freedom of that we were lucky to feel during that era. When I sold the boat, I needed a change, and fate landed me here, looking after my mum and stepdad’s house while they traveled. And what I found in Buckfastleigh was a rare kind of magic.”

There is so much goodness and soulfulness happening on the new EP, you can tell that this is just the beginning and that there is most definitely more coming and we can’t wait.
