Wax Owls, blend indie-folk with elements of rock and country. Wax Owls, formed when friends Chris Tsaganeas and Gerry Hirschfeld quit their jobs…as lawyers!…to pursue their dreams and passions. Their music is for fans of The Lumineers, Bon Iver, Zach Bryan, The Shins and Mumford & Sons. 

Wax Owls explores themes of resilience, self-discovery and finding light in the darkest of times. For Hirschfeld, the impetus was tragically losing a professional mentor to suicide after the immense pressures of a high-stakes legal career. “We don’t want to look back and regret not having the time to do the things we love.” 

Wax Owl’s latest single, “The Notice” draws you in with well-written and thought-provoking lyrics that are beautifully and carefully woven between breathtaking melodies. A good song may cause you to smile with acknowledgment. However, a great song stays with you forever. “The Notice”, from Wax Owls is a great song.
