We recently had the extreme privilege to check out the blazing new single, “Honey Pie”, from Cornwall (UK) -based indie-rock quartet The Ultra Violets. You can listen to “Honey Pie” on Spotify Here , Apple Music, Here
We are over the moon in love with “Honey Pie” from The Ultra Violets. We fell instantly for their vibrant and thunderous sound.

Recorded and mastered with Ross Rothero-Bourge and the band’s Perran Nicholls at The Cube in Cornwall, ‘HONEY PIE’ is an aggressive wakeup call to the dark side and addictive nature of social media, urging people to stop turning a blind eye to the atrocities we see on our phones in favour of the superficial ‘sweet stuff’.
On the track’s subject matter the band explain, “The song is essentially about people only wanting the sweet stuff in life, and sugar coating anything and everything that may be a difficult subject. We live in a society where social media is treated like the Holy Bible, simultaneously releasing dopamine hits, a highly addictive drug, when posting pictures for ‘instant gratification.
“It seems there’s a lot of wrong in the world right now, but let’s all turn a blind eye and keep posting our best lives, sugarcoating the stark contrast of the disarray. But in reality, you can hear the ‘sirens of hate before the day is dawning’ waking you as it simmers through the cracks of your windows in the morning.”
The melodic and sonic eruption on “Honey Pie” is an absolute thing of pure beauty ( We can neither confirm nor deny we shed a few tears)
A powerful thunderous melody that we simply can’t shake, coupled with a powerful message, make “Honey Pie” , a song you need in your life.
