McKay, has crafted a breathtaking new EP, with “Casino “ We were instantly taken right from the first note, by the well developed melodies and flawless vocals.

Originally formed as a banjo-guitar folk duo, McKay evolved into a full-band project that blends the melancholic storytelling of Nick Drake with the textural depth of The Shins, Pinegrove, and Alex G. 

Opening track, “Same” has a slow beginning that beautifully builds in to a solid well formed alt-rock that we felt in the depths of our music loving soul.

Singles, “All On My Own “ and “Luna” , showcase a band who have firmly established a tight knit one of a kind sound. There is a cinematic quality that is woven effortlessly within the songs on “Casino”, which add another dimension to McKay’s irresistible sound.

The title track of the EP, may be McKay at their very best . “Casino “, is a well written intimate sounding track that is brimming with authenticity and honesty. “Casino”, has a beautiful familiar tone that we kept returning to again and again – Bravo
