Singer, songwriter, and guitarist Emma Harner announces her debut album Evening Star, arriving April 3. Across the album’s 11 tracks, which include recent singles “Gale,” “Seams,” and “You’re Right,” she showcases her signature blend of intricate guitar work and emotionally direct songwriting.
Harner wrote every part and performed every instrument across the album, shaping each song from the ground up with an intentional spirit that underscores its emotional weight and sonic cohesion. The album was produced by Grammy-nominated producer Jamie Mefford (Gregory Alan Isakov, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Jamestown Revival), whose expansive, textured production elevates Harner’s singular vision without ever compromising it.
“Evening Star is an album about nostalgia, wishing, and everything else that has bothered my brain in the last couple years,” she shares. “Anyone following along on the writing journey for this album through the short clips I was posting will hopefully be happy to hear the fully realized versions of some of their favorites.”

Known for her distinctive sound that merges the intimacy of folk with the intricate edge of math rock, Harner pairs technical precision with striking emotional clarity. Over the past year, she has quickly established herself as one of the most exciting new artists to watch, following the release of her breakout EP Taking My Side and a run of sold-out shows across the US, UK, and Europe.
Originally from Lincoln, Nebraska and now based in Boston, Harner first gained attention through a series of viral videos on Instagram and TikTok. Her virtuosic guitar skills, harmonic sophistication, and emotional depth quickly earned her a devoted following. She’s already received early praise from tastemakers like Zane Lowe, Rick Beato, Fretboard Journal, and Guitar.com, the latter of which hailed her as “not only a compelling songwriter but one of America’s most impressive new guitarists.”
We absolutely can’t wait for Emma Harner, to release her debut album, “Evening Star”
