We recently had the absolute honor to check out the new album, “Impatient For The Dream”, from new synth pop/rock duo Your Future Ghost. The band is the new musical project of Billboard-charting singer/songwriter, musician and actress Kate Voegele and the multifaceted songwriter, producer, composer and actor Michael Grubbs

You can listen to the wondrous new album, “Impatient For The Dream” on Spotify Here, Apple Music Gere

“Impatient For The Dream”, from Your Future Ghost, is a magnificent collection that offers powerful, vibrant and radiant indie-pop sound that leaves your music loving soul full of musical joy

The duo that is , Your Future Ghost, first met on the set, acting in the popular CW hit TV series One Tree Hill. Striking up a fast friendship and mutual creative respect, the two began collaborating musically over zoom during the pandemic.  After months of studio sessions in Austin, Texas, intermingled with lively backyard taco breaks, Your Future Ghost was born. Kate Voegele reveals the catalyst for their creative fusion, “our voices blended in a way that inspired us both to write in this unique hemisphere of a sound neither of us had ever really explored before in our solo projects.”

The two soon performed their signature dirty indie synth pop at the internationally recognized Art Basel festival in Miami to an overwhelming response affirming their artistic direction.

Their new album Impatient for the Dream features a collection of joyful, wild and dark pop songs.  With a powerful blend of big guitars, thunderous drums, and striking synths, Your Future Ghost has crafted an album inspired by, according to Voegele, “finding the fun, the party, and the refuge in the chaos of a post-apocalyptic world.” She further shares, “This album is that friend who’s kind of a liability, has some bad tattoos and questionable ideas, but always makes every hang unforgettable.” Michael says, “This record is a truly unfiltered version of Kate and me. It’s us at a bar at 1 AM, fearless, drunk on a good time and completely out of f**cks.”

We found ourselves instantly enthralled with “Impatient For The Dream” from Your Future Ghost, right from the first track , “Oh My Ghost” Every song was artfully full of emotion and memorable melodies.

One thing that really stands out to us on “Impatient For The Dream”, is the cinematic/ symphonic vibe of the music . The songs are so well crafted and well shaped , this is front and center on both “We’ve Got Places” and our personal favorite, “The Only One “

Your Future Ghost, prove that they are indie-pop masterminds on track, “I’m Like Money, Pritty, and the impressive and melodically addictive, “ Oh La La ( Animal) “

“Impatient For The Dream” , from Your Future Ghost, is without a doubt the next album you need to fall in love with.

Lovina Falls Have Reached The Top Of The Mountain, With Breathtaking New Single, “Light and Low”

There is a pure and radiant glow that beautifully flows throughout the simply stunning new single “Light And Low” You can listen to “Light And Low” Here

Lovina Falls has a simple message for those seeking some kind of comfort in this unsteady, overwhelming, and uninspired 2025: “The world is blowing up, so find yourself and your people and move forward together, regardless, and in spite of, the chaos around.”

We couldn’t agree more …. Lovina Falls, the dark and whimsical dream-pop and art-rock project from Boston singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Valerie Forgione, which returns to the streams with their first new music of 2025 in “Light and Low,” a rousing jaunt of electronic sounds, harpsichord, and dizzying propulsion that hits the streams on Friday, June 13. The track arrives before the official release party later that night, held at Deep Cuts in Medford alongside The Daylilies and RoseR

At its core, “Light and Low” relays an internal vision to keep moving, to push forward, and power through with a sense of community and compassion. It certainly does not hurt that one can dance to it.

“‘Light and Low’ is about recognizing that as time goes on, it’s ok to let go of old and ‘historic thinking’ to create a new path through and out of the Thicket of Now,” Forgione says. “It’s about knowing that when things change, the path is not predestined. Change the change. Move with conviction but head gracefully into the unknown, light and low.”

Light and Low” continues to position Lovina Falls as a collaborative project, where Forgione performs most of the instrumentation in the studio before it blossoms on stage with the live band. What began as a solo outlet to attempt a reconnection into her past as a path forward has now evolved and emerged into a full-fledged ensemble, playing shows routinely and emerging as one of Boston’s most dynamic live on-stage septets.

And live on stage, where the Lovina Falls sound truly emerges, the band swells to a consuming wall of sound and melody, featuring two other fellow Mistle Thrush members in guitarist Scott Patalano and bassist Matt Klain, and joined by Carrie Ingber on keys, Chuck Ferreira on drums, Brenden Cobb also on guitar, and Laura England Klain and Emily Drohan on vocals

On “Light and Low”, Forgione performs vocals, piano, harpsichord, keyboards, bass, and drum programming, and is joined by fellow Mistle Thrush bandmate and drummer Todd Demma, now of Chameleons, alongside Cobb on tremolo guitar and co-producer David Minehan on additional guitar.

There is something very important and worthy about “Light and Low”, from Lovina Falls, it is a much needed message that artfully cuts through the static and beautifully announces its importance.

As someone who reviews music, there is no better feel than getting the opportunity to hear and an artist grow and develop. Pip Lewis, has shown with her latest single an video Dead Ringer”, that she is an artist who is on the rise

Dead Ringer”is taken from Pip’s forthcoming album, “Growing Pains”

“Dead Ringer” has a haunting presence and tone that makes you immediately take notice. Pip Lewis, gives a flawless and commanding vocal performance . Pip Lewis, uses stunning melodies and meaningful lyric to tell a vivid and memorable story with “Dead Ringer

Pip says, “”Dead Ringer” was one of the earliest songs written for my upcoming album “Growing Pains” and it has a strong 80’s influence. I first got the idea for the track when I was listening to the iconic drum intro on “Blue Monday” by New Order. I sought out some samples of the iconic Linn drum machine (used on tracks such as “Purple Rain” and “1999” by Prince and “Radio Ga Ga” by Queen) and got to work producing the demo of what became “Dead Ringer.”

The song is an offbeat commentary on the line between the person and the performer. Who is Pip Lewis as a person? Who is she as a performer? Is the struggle of the person part of the allure of a performer?

I had grown up watching Joy Division’s lan Curtis performances with my father. Curtis would often have epileptic seizures on stage and it struck me then that it seemed like sometimes showmanship and suffering were synonymous. Who’s to say what is dancing and what is seizing?”

Pip Lewis, has crafted an absolute work of art with her latest single, “Dead Ringer, we can’t wait to see what she does next.

moonstone. Delivers A melodic and energetic Gem With New Single “Figured Out”

We recently had the amazing opportunity to check out the new single “Figured Out “ from Dallas based 5 piece band moonstone. You can listen to “Figured Out Here

moonstone. artfully construct a energetic, dancy “sad-pop” inspired sound – powered by belty soprano vocals, electrifying guitar leads, dancy drums and indie-style bass riffs.

“Figured Out” is song of many emotions, but any way you slice it you can’t escape the fact that moonstone. has given us an absolute gem .

moonstone. consists of vocalist Gracie Armendariz, lead guitarist Lucas Armendariz, rhythm guitarist Ramses Ramirez, bassist Charis Cacal and drummer Connor Smith.

Lead vocalist Gracie Armendariz says, The lyrics for ‘Figured Out’ were written about being put into a role where you’re completely self-reliant, growing up hyper-independent and the defiance that comes along with it. When you’re emotionally hyper-independent, you feel the need to handle everything in your life on your own, including your own emotions and challenges, making it difficult to ask for help, even when you need it. I love songs that have meaningful, personal lyrics and dancy, upbeat instrumentals, and I feel that we achieved that perfectly with this song.”

moonstone. will be performing at DallasTX’s So What?! Festival on Saturday, June 1st, alongside Underoath, 3OH!3, Knuckle Puck, Boys Like Girls and many more.

We are absolutely over the moon excited about moonstone. and their amazing new single “Figured out”
