PARCS Release Heartfelt And Honest New Single, “Red Lines”

We recently had the amazing opportunity to check out the new single and video for “Red Lines” , from Newport, South Wales, indie/synth-pop quartet PARCS. You can listen to “Red Lines” on Spotify Here, Apple Music Here. You can watch the video for “Red Lines” below

“Red Lines” is the latest to be taken from their forthcoming new EP Sleepless, which will be released on 2nd May 2025. The record explores themes of the mental health struggles often found in a life of chronic pain, whilst still encapsulating their signature hopeful, nu-disco-driven sound.

There is something positively otherworldly about the sound and vibe from PARCS, this is on full display on their latest brilliant new single, “Red Lines”

Commenting on the single, the band say: “‘Red Lines’ explores themes of anxiety, depression and hopelessness. Ethereal synths cut through the wall of noise created by the distorted guitars, building an atmosphere that hits you in the chest.”

The track follows on from previously-released singles ‘Fever’ and ‘Pull/Push’, which have been steadily gaining traction in their home nation of Wales with growing support at Nation Cymru, Music Blog Wales, Circuit Sweet, BBC Radio Wales and more.

This was the first time we had the opportunity to get away from home and record over a weekend, making a real event of it,” say the band of their experience recording the set of songs. “The whole weekend was so wholesome and really cemented the direction we’d gone in for the EP. There were dog cuddles (love you Basil), ice cream and sea swimming which added to the wholesome vibes. Musically, StudiOwz was ideal for us, with Owain making us feel so comfortable and giving us the space to be creative. We all left feeling like that was one of our favourite weekends of the year.”

PARCS, has a one of a kind sound that hits you almost instantly. The band’s sound is characterised by shimmering synths, hooky guitar riffs, driving bass lines, and four to the floor drums, with bittersweet, melancholic choruses that you can’t help but move your feet to—it’s music with both groove and heart.

We are beyond excited to see what’s next for PARCS.

We Are Completely Mesmerized By The Stunning New Single, “Fools Gold” From ROTHCO

We were so excited to learn that Hull (UK) band, ROTHCO, have signed to Man Demolish Records and will release their debut EP Fools Goldon 6th June 2025.

To mark the occasion , the band are sharing the writhing lead single and title track ‘Fools Gold’ which is out now.

ROTHCO conjures up a hypnotically hip melody with “Fools Gold” that we are absolutely smitten with.

Brimming with Gothic New Wave sensibilities and a passionately poetic delivery, sonically the track is an amalgamation of some of their major influences including The Doors, Talking Heads, Joy Division and Fugazi, with more than a touch of Swans-esque noise rock and agit-punk thrown into the mix.

Fresh from signing with Man Demolish Records, the band recently recorded their debut EP Fools Gold, mixed by Nick “The Muscle” Russell (Strange Pink, Bedsit) at York’s Young Thugs Studios, and mastered by Pete Maher (Jack White, U2).

Commenting on the single, the band said: “‘Fools Gold’ is our statement against the mechanical and algorithmic efficiency of the modern world; our declaration in favour of keeping humanity in the arts and wider life.”

ROTHCO’s sound is an intoxicating blend of influences that impresses in its effortless blending of elements from abrasive punk, brooding psychedelic, disco and gothic post-punk.

Comprising veterans of the Hull music scene, the band have paid their dues in notable previous outfits Bunkerpop, Black Ravines, Stuka, Big River, Black Delta Movement, and Bedsit, and their dedication to their craft is more than apparent in this latest incarnation.

We are all in on ROTHCO, and we can’t wait to hear what’s next.
