The follow-up to March’s “Monsters” and May’s “Feel So High,” the latest from the cynically whimsical quartet is a dizzying spell of riff-fueled alt-rock rage and will be featured on their forthcoming sophomore album, due out in October.

Rock and roll has never been about being cool or trendy – it’s always been misfits making art to feel seen by one another,” say The Fool’s Agenda. “Somewhere along the line, it became somewhat of a popularity contest: Who’s got the best content, the coolest outfits; people looking to be adored as a sense of validation through their art rather than looking for a community and to make a difference with it. It’s really easy to fall into that trap when you so badly want to be successful. This song is making fun of that whole mentality.”

And that it does. As songwriter, lyricist, and powerhouse vocalist Rhiannon Raine blasts through the track with a breakneck delivery that shifts from hypnotic deadpan to confrontational fury, the rest of the band – guitarist Kyle Erickson; bassist Jon Gray; and percussionist Kamryn Bode – backs her up with a punk rock ferocity and frenzied urgency.

The next day, The Fool’s Agenda take it outside for a free outdoor matinee show at Wakefield Porchfest on September 6, and then play Ralph’s in Worcester on September 27 with Gold Star Boulevard.

“Over Signs” from Jack Adamant is an absolute sonically driven triumph. Jack Adamant artfully weaves perfectly placed vocal with memorable melodies. Jack creates a musical composition that will stay in your soul long after the music has ended.

His solo career began around 2012 when he started writing songs that were heavily influenced by American artists such as J Mascis, Lou Barlow, Evan Dando, Bob Mould, Mac McCaughan, Robert Pollard, Daniel Johnston and others. Nicole has coined her sound “Grunge Pop” we also like to add Awesome Sounding Pop” but maybe “Grunge Pop” rolls off the tongue better.

We were instantly enthralled by her latest single “Shades Of Blue”, it is a well crafted song that stays with you long after the music fades .

Originally from New Orleans, and currently based in Nashvilles. She was originally discovered online by Better Than Ezra frontman and hit songwriter, Kevin Griffin, who enticed Nicole to move to Nashville and become a full time writer and producer.

In mid-2024, Nicole set out to re-establish herself as an artist through a genre she coined, ‘grunge pop,’ blending the raw, unfiltered energy of post-grunge, 90s alternative rock with the haunting melodies of modern pop.
