Parts Per Million Have Sculpted A Hard Rock Masterpiece With New EP, “Red, White, and Blue”

We recently had the epic opportunity to check out the new EP, “Red, White, and Blue”, from Boston, hard rock band, Parts Per Million. You can listen to “Red, White, and Blue” Here

Fast, furious and unapologetic, Parts Per Million have crafted pure rock brilliance with their powerful new “Red, White, and Blue “ EP.

The ferocious EP arrives at a time when we need it most. Across nearly 10 minutes of unrelenting sonic fury, the Boston band rages against the regime and all the forces that led us to this moment, with blame to go around on every side and each level of our decaying country. This is no act of moral grandstanding or attempt to convince one side over the other.

This is a band – vocalist, guitarist, and lyricist Paul McSweeney; guitarist and vocalist S. Brian Bailey; bassist and vocalist Alex Marks; and drummer and vocalist Brad Griffen – that’s pissed off, sonically unhinged, and unafraid to astutely point out that we are all responsible for the absolute clusterfuck that is life in 2025.

Creating this record has been so much fun – tinfoil hats and riff city,” says McSweeney. “We spent two weekends together at Halo Studios with our longtime producer and friend Kevin Billingslea working on these songs before we recorded them later in the month. Kevin had a huge part in writing some of the best parts and lyrics of these songs. He always does, but all of us have really had some difficult years recently, and everything going on is fucked. I reached out to some of my favorite artists, poets, and friends and poured my ideas into them and they poured them back.”

Red” takes on conservatives and how we’ve raised the cult leader in charge to a deity figure, as the band taps into hip-hop and riffs that inspire dancing; a sonic lineage of System of a Down, Faith No More, and Alice in Chains; and references to Daddy Yankee, a now devout evangelical Trump supporter. It finds Griffen jumping into the band’s vocal arena with his harrowing screams.

White” challenges the role white privilege plays in elevating evil by those indifferent to real-world issues as people of color suffer in plain view. Its sound marries Parts Per Million’s love for Opeth and Devin Townsend, and S. Brian Black’s guitarwork acts a tribute in style to Randy Rhodes and Diary of a Madman-era Ozzy.

Blue” demonizes progressives on the left for their self-righteousness and lack of any real action, paying musical homage to classic NYC hardcore, with Hannah Arendt emerging in a spoken word bridge narrated by Dvstin Black of VantaBlack and Fathom Farewell

You owe it to yourself to check out the power and fury of “Red, White And Blue”, from Parts Per Million.

Cruel Miracle Have Created An Amazing Video For “Stone”

We recently got the amazing opportunity, to check out the new video for “Stone”, from Boston hard rock band , Cruel Miracle, you can watch the epic video for “Stone” below

You can also listen to “Stone “ , which is on their album “Steadfast” on Spotify Here , Apple Music Here

On its own, “Stone” from Cruel Miracle, is an epic hard rock groove that is straight up phenomenal. Now we get a blazing video to go along with it…… It’s like we won the freaking lottery!!!

Finally getting the video treatment it deserves, the riff-fueled “Stone” is the lead track to Cruel Miracle’s recent album Steadfast, a piledriver of a record that first dropped last summer. The video for “Stone” was created by the band members themselves, featuring the four dudes rocking out in its rehearsal space as colorful and animated visuals bloom with each hook and spin like a hypnotic pinwheel.

The band shares : ‘Stone’ is a story about perseverance – staying strong while remaining true to yourself,” the band declares, speaking on the new release as a cohesive voice of one. “In typical Cruel Miracle fashion, one of us brought some riffs and then we all worked on the structure and arrangements. This was first created as a post-pandemic tune, so the feel was based on the struggles of the time and the battle against our personal demons.”

The DIY video for “Stone” was created by the band members themselves, featuring the four dudes rocking out in its rehearsal space as colorful and animated visuals bloom with each hook and spin like a hypnotic pinwheel. It’s the band’s visual follow-up to last year’s “Wicked Ways [1999]” video, which dropped, appropriately, on the Fourth of July.

But the latest dose of video fireworks from Cruel Miracle is more stripped-down in nature, allowing the song to expand and take hold while showcasing the band doing what it does best – rocking the eff out.

“We spent time looking at videos from the ‘60s all the way to the mid-’90s – where most of us cut our teeth,” they add. “There was no real theme or direction, we just wanted something kind of random and psychedelic. We also wanted to showcase ourselves playing in our own environment. It all goes back to the visuals and feel of that old-school rock scene – capturing that hard rock essence and delivering an accurate representation of what Cruel Miracle is today

Cruel Miracle, is exactly the high octane rock and roll that is needed in today’s musical landscape. Full throttle and full speed ahead . Music needs to be a loud and thunderous experience and Cruel Miracle, is just the right band to lead the charge .
