the charge is the blistering first single, “Death Tax,” now streaming everywhere. The companion video for “Death Tax “ is above and it kicks some serious ass.
Vocalist Joey Dahlstrom says, “We did all of the Death Tax video — except for the time lapse — in one day last December with our pal Charlie Jordan, who shot it and put it together for us. We wanted to reflect our surroundings in Brooklyn and the themes of grime, erosion, and decay.”
Of the single, Dahlstrom: says, “Death Tax comes from thinking about entropy and decay. Nature can be cruel, violent, and indifferent — the suffering seems pointless — but accepting and understanding the terms of our existence comes with a certain viriditas, an empowering vitality to approach it head-on.”
GuitaristKirk McGirk adds, “This one made it into our live sets pretty quickly – people would respond to it pretty well, and we like when we do something that makes people move.”
Cash Bribe, have an absolutely breathtaking, one of kind sound that is both sonically and melodically perfect. We were stopped dead in our tracks when we heard “Death Tax” If you’re not aware of Cash Bribe, now is definitely the time to start.
Hearing a great freaking song, is like when you hear a ball hit with a bat a certain way … you just know it’s a hit…. “Death Tax” is a hit

We recently had the epically awesome opportunity to check out the blazing new album, “Holding On To Hope”, via Thousand Islands Records from Montreal punks, The Last Mile. You can listen to “Holding On To Hope” Here
“Holding On ToHope” , from The Last Mile is everything you could ever ask for in a punk album and then some. We truly believe we just listened to 10 tracks of melodic punk greatness.
With the release of their second full length, ‘Holding On To Hope,’ collectively released on Thousand islands Records and Pavones Records, The Last Mile are moving forward and intensifying their sound. The aesthetic of the record was designed and laid out by Stealworks a.k.a. John Yates, known for his genre defining work with bands such as Lifetime, Jawbreaker, Alkaline Trio, Bad Religion, Alternative Tentacles, and so much more.
Recorded in Vancouver by long-time collaborator, Jesse Gander (Brutus, Japandroids, DBS, Daggermouth) and mastered by Jason Livermore at The Blasting Room, these songs are a natural progression of the bands signature heartfelt songs, leaning in a more modern hardcore vein while still retaining their punk rock roots.
As soon as you press play on “Holding On To Hope” you are taken on a remarkable musical experience that is second to none. The Last Mile, pours everything they have into every song and it shows.
We can honestly say with our whole music loving heart that there isn’t a bad song on “Holding On To Hope “ The Last Mile write authentic and heartfelt songs that move your mind and soul as well as your feet.
“Farewell For Now “, “Anything” and “Hot Box” are all solid well written musical compositions that we absolutely loved . The one song that stood out to us on “Holding On To Hope” was “Water Mary” The melodic and sonic tones complement each other perfectly .
Flawless vocals ( which feature both make and female vocals) and next level musicianship make “Holding On To Hope” an absolute can’t miss.
We recently had the stellar opportunity, to check out the phenomenal new single, “No Recovery” , via Revival Recordings from New York based hardcore outfit, Ghost Chant . You can listen to “No Recovery” Here
You can also check out the video for “No Recovery”, below
We were completely blown away by the power and electrifying energy of Ghost Chant. Their new single, “ No Recovery “ is soon to be your new favorite song… You just don’t know it yet.
An epic and authentic song , “No Recovery” gave us absolute chills – Bravo
When discussing the meaning behind the single, vocalist Dan Sheehan shared, “No Recovery is a representation of understanding where something is heading, yet not having the ability to let it go and accepting what is. It’s the telling of wanting to be more than what we are to someone, with the painful realization that we just aren’t what they ‘need’, wrapped in the telling of what they ‘want’. It’s holding onto hope, knowing that no matter how much it hurts, you’re not chosen and there’s just no coming back from that.”
No Recovery” is the lead single off the band’s forthcoming EP, Hell May Await Me, which is slated for release on May 9th. Preorders for the EP are available now – Here
Ghost Chant, have something special brewing, and we can’t wait to hear what is next .
We are beyond excited to report that hardcore foursome, Feed The Beast, will be releasing their latest album, “Mercy”, their debut for Futureless. You can check out the earth shaking new single “Tombs Underneath The Tombs” Here
Feed the Beast’s history has been cultivated via years of consistently releasing recordings and fortifying a considerable presence across venues in their western Los Angeles and Santa Monica locales. Mercy signals their return from a hiatus with a reshuffled roster and new record label affiliation in tow. The group has seized the opportunity to not only elevate its presence, but also expand its latitude of sonic expression, melding the time-tested heaviness with occasions for experimentation and engaging in novel musical niches.

Recorded, mixed and mastered by Nick Jett (of Terror) in under a week, Mercy is a compendium of punishing yet precise heavy cuts, deftly interspersed with melody, space, dynamics and syncopated rhythms. Original members James Hutchinson (vocals) and Nicholas Garcia (guitar) penned Mercy across a span of a few months with former Feed the Beast members Tye Trujillo (bass) and Patrick Chavez (drums).
“Nick’s the man,” says Garcia of Mercy’sproducer. “He’s very efficient and it still blows my mind that we tracked seven songs in three or four days. It’s very cool to get to work with someone who is very professional.”
With Trujillo and Chavez leaving to focus on other projects (Trujillo plays in Suicidal Tendencies, filling his father Robert’s spot that became available when he joined Metallica, while Chavez plays with OTTTO), Hutchinson and Garcia retooled the lineup, recruiting new band members Julian Lincona (bass) and Billy Greenwood (drums) to support Mercy, which is slated for a release on Futureless in May 2025.
Mercy’s first single is “Tombs Underneath The Tombs,” of which Hutchinson says is about “being content with and even embracing hell, which is a fate worse than hell itself. It takes on the perspective of an incredibly narcissistic individual who believes they are smarter and stronger than everyone, including creation itself.”
“Tombs Underneath Tombs” from, Feed The Beast, hits like an explosive and precise bolt of lightning. We are in absolute awe of the powerful and breathtaking sound.
We are absolutely ready for more music from , Feed The Beast .
We recently had the stellar opportunity to check out the new single, “Slaughterhouse”, from NY hardcore punks , Chum Huffer . You can listen to “Slaughterhouse”, on Spotify Here, Apple Music Here
We are so excited for Chum Huffer , and their highly anticipated third studio EP, Slaughterhouse Five, on their own DWY Records, in May 2025. Inspired by Kurt Vonnegut’s classic novel, the EP’s title track draws eerie parallels between the chaos of the book’s wartime setting and the unrest in today’s world.
“With everything happening around us, it feels like we’re unstuck in time—just like Vonnegut’s character Billy Pilgrim,” says the band. “This record explores the battle between past and future, reality and illusion, and what it means to hold onto your own sense of morality.”
Today ( February 14th) we get our first taste of the new EP, with the first single , “Slaughterhouse,” (spoiler alert: this song is freaking amazing) Pre-orders , for theEP, are launching on February, 15th at ChumHuffer.com .
The new single, “Slaughterhouse”, from ChumHuffer is an explosive, sonically perfect tune that doesn’t step off the gas for one second. Chum Huffer , brings their raw energy and razor-sharp social commentary that they are known for and it is a thing of beauty.

With A Wilhelm Scream’sTrevor Reilly behind the console and with the addition of a new member,OH THE HUMANITY , stepped outside the box, and delivered what they collectively feel is their most significant release to date. ( we completely agree)
“Ground To Dust” is loaded with ripping guitars, big hooks and gut-wrenching lyrics, this record has something for everyone.
“Ground To Dust” is explosive from note one . OH THE HUMANITY! doesn’t let off the gas for on second. ( and it’s a thing of beauty.

FELDSPAR Releasing Debut Album “Old City New Ruins” on September 30
We recently had the amazing opportunity to check out the amazing single and video for “18 Karat from Rome Italy based Italian rockers FELDSPAR. You can listen to “18 Karat “ Here. You can watch the video for “18 Karat”below
We absolutely love the sonic and melodic goodness of “18 Karat” from FELDSPAR.
The latest single “18 Karat” is a high-energy song that plays on the stereotypes of success, the fleeting pursuit of it, and the deviations tied to the quest for visibility and personal approval, sought ten, a hundred times a day. Essentially, it’s about designing one’s life as a fairy tale and presenting it in the public arena to gauge how much social approval we receive.

The song doesn’t lack irony, as highlighted by frontman Riccardo Zamurri: “We want to criticize those who resort to endless filters, both metaphorically and literally, the filters of social platforms that force unattainable standards, fanciful realities, and success. How much human misery is there in all this? But at the same time, how much unintentional comedy does it produce?
FELDSPAR smartly take brilliant hardcore vocals and pair them with a stunning melodic backdrop. “18 Karat” from FELDSPAR is an absolute work of art.
FELDSPAR will release their upcoming debut LP, “Old City New Ruins” on September 30th via TTK Records.Produced By Nick Terry (The Libertines, Simian Mobile Disco, Turbonegro, Kvelertak)
Do yourself a favor and check out “18 Karat” from FELDSPAR and get pumped for their debut LP. “Old City New Ruins”
If you are a frequent reader of The Whole Kameese , you know that when we really like an album we tend to scream about it from the rooftops. We’re guessing wherever you’re reading this from , that you can’t hear us .
But we are absolutely screaming pure musical screams of joy about Boston based melodic hardcore band The Promised End and their better than brilliant new album “For The Buried And The Broken which is out today February, 2nd ) via Sound Investment Records ( North America) and Gunner Records ( Europe)
You can listen to “For The Buried And The Broken” Here you can also order the record Here
The band features members from Landmines,Tied To A Bear, The Effort, Choke up and Sky Tiger .
Not only does every song on “For The Buried And The Broken make the case for the best sounding song ever ( and we do mean ever ) but The Promised End are a band who backup their amazing musicianship up with an honest and authentic politically charged message that is as real as it gets.

From the opening track “Worth” it is crystal clear that The Promised End is not just another band , the blistering drums at the beginning of “Worth” remind us of early Metallica , Megadeath and Metal Church but way better . Simply breathtaking. The Promised End does a phenomenal job in constructing ear pleasing gems that are clear , fast and to the point .
Melodic goodness is abound on “The Buried And The Broken” Of the track, vocalist Paul Picillo says: “These lives are wasted, shattered and longing to be whole. The first we tasted has now taken hold. Until the skin is cold”
We definitely played this one a couple thousand times ,vocalist PaulPicillo delivers an absolutely flawless vocal performance.
As we stated earlier, every song is amazing, “Breakwater” and “Futureless” really grabbed our attention.
“For The Buried And The Broken “ checks in at 25 minutes. But believe us when we tell you that it is probably the best possible way to spend 25 minutes.
If we had to pick our favorite track on the album ( which is so unfair) we would probably go with “Everything Breath You Fake “ we love everything about this song …, so good
A mainland European tour is in the works for September 2024 to support the overseas release.
Do yourself and check out “For The Buried And The Broken from The Promised End , you will not regret it.
