We recently had the delightful opportunity to check out the stripped down version of “Dream That I Die(Stripped)”, from Soren Hansen, who is the co-founder of the platinum-selling band New Politics, who is carving out a new path as a solo artist.

Soren Hansen, has taken a well crafted song , “Dream That I Die (Stripped )” and created a beautiful stripped down version that is absolutely stunning.

Now calling Nashville home, he’s channeling his creative energy into a deeply personal musical evolution. After introducing his self-titled album in 2024, Søren is set to release a new EP this spring, featuring raw, intimate acoustic versions of five standout tracks. Among them is his latest single, “Dream That I Die (Stripped)”—a hauntingly beautiful reimagining that showcases his artistry in a whole new light.The song captures the internal struggle of anxious thoughts, but with an underlying message of catharsis and self-expression.

Søren says, “This is the last of the stripped-down versions from my record! I loved playing and singing this one, and I like how the lyrics stand out when exposed to theirbare bones. The song is about anxiety, something I’ve personally dealt with a lot, and I believe there’s a healing power in voicing these feelings out loud. I hope you enjoy it, and I’d love to hear your thoughts!”

You can feel the authenticity and honest pouring out of “Dream That I Die (Stripped)” from Soren Hansen, this is definitely a track that you don’t to miss.

“Stoked On Trent”, is a live acoustic album that was recorded Live, in the UK, in 2022, as part of Jaret and Rob’s acoustic tour in 2022.

“Stoked On Trent” is the perfect snapshot in to the live musical fun and genius that is Bowling For Soup . The album features all the great beloved BFS songs that fans love ( “Ohio(Come Back To Texas), “Almost”, “1985” , “Girl All The Bad Guys Want” and so much more .

We laughed and sang our butt off , we couldn’t think of a better way to spend an hour and six minutes of our day .

Bowling For Soup, will be part of the returning Vans Warped Tour , this summer . The band will play Washington, D.C. on June 14-15, Long Beach, California on July 26-27

Bitters And Distractions Deliver Absolute Punk Rock Perfection with Video For “Existentialism In A Car “

When we first heard that Long Island,Ny based duo Jeremy Quitko and Travis Johnides better known as Bitters And Distractions were an acoustic duo who played punk rock , we were instantly intrigued

Bitters And Distractions play real honest to goodness punk rock that because it is done acoustically is perhaps the most organic and genuine form of punk we have ever heard . So we found our favorite music video watching spot and checked out the video for “Existentialism In A Car “ which you can watch for yourself below (Spoiler Alert: It’s freaking amazing)

First things first … “Existentialism In A Car” isn’t just a good song…. It’s a freaking Great song. “Existentialism In A Car “ is a brilliantly crafted smartly written song that has an undeniable energy that you can’t ignore.

Style wise Bitters And Distractions remind us very much of Celtic punk in the vein of bands like The Dropkick Murphys and The Rumjacks . They play music that makes you want to raise pint and dance your heart out .

Bitters And Distractions represent everything that is good about music. It’s two guys who absolutely love making music . The song is so catchy that we can neither confirm nor deny but…we have sung the chorus at the top of our lungs while in drop off line at our kid’s school.

As for the video, we love everything about it especially the DIY spirit of this video . The guys looked like they were having a total blast .
