We were so impressed by the brilliant“Here Comes Your Ghost “ that we we were anxiously awaiting the latest single “Why Wait” and… we were not disappointed. “Why Wait” comes ahead of the band’s April 2024 EP “Answer Slow “

“Why Wait “from Vinyl Station is one of those stunningly beautiful songs that effortlessly finds your way into your soul , and you are better for it .

“Why Do You Wait” is a testament to Vinyl Station’s versatility in sound and songcraft. Evocative and spanning a wide range of feeling, “Why Do You Wait” grabs the listener by the ear and dares them to not to be taken in.

Lead singer Matthew Thornton explores the song’s dynamic scope, his warm delivery full and powerful before suddenly yielding to a more delicate falsetto. Sturgis Water’s guitar work matches this volumetric variance, bringing texture and definition to the song’s more quiet moments and amplifying points of fervor. Patrick Andrew’s alliterative bass takes center stage, deftly cutting through its cavernous surroundings on those softer occasions where Water’s guitar draws back. Roy Cameron’s drumming fills out the space, navigating the band through hushed fades and leaps to towering crescendos.
