We recently had the opportunity to check out the breathtakingly beautiful new single, “Still Breathing” from Australian, indie-pop band, Joan & The Giants. You can listen to “Still Breathing “ Here

“Still Breathing “ from Joan & the Giants, is a mesmerizing track that gave us all the feels

Born impromptu from a jam session, this is a free-flowing and heartfelt single and a true reflection of the love and passion that Joan & the Giants, put into every song.

With two tracks of guitar, a percussive track and melodic track, this song is imbued with an internal conflict. Its echoing instrumentals straddle the line of wistful pop and energetic rock. Frontwoman Grace Newton-Wordsworth’s voice is intoxicatingly authentic and leads the listener on an moving journey.

We found ourselves literally hanging on every note and lyric of “Still Breathing” from Joan & the Giants, as if it were a best selling novel.

In support of their new music the band will be making their US debut in Austin, TX at SXSW. Proving to be an act to watch in 2025, Boorloo ‘ s (Perth) indie pop-rock band Joan & The Giants have supported global superstars P!NK and Tones & I at Optus Stadium and they ’ ve recently returned from a theatre tour across the country supporting US pop icon Belinda Carlisle.

We are all in on Joan & the Giants , we can’t wait to see what they do next . Helmed by powerhouse Queer vocalist Grace-Newton Wordsworth, this band will leave you feeling just as giant as they are.

All Hope Remains Has Crafted An Absolute Melodic Pop Gem With New Album “Find My Way”

We recently had the stellar opportunity to check out the new album “Find My Way” from Aussie melodic punk trio All Hope Remains. You can listen to “Find My Way” Here.

We were completely blown away by the new album “Find My Way via ( Pee Records/Disconnect Disconnect/Double Helix Records)from All Hope Remains. From note one All Hope Remains takes you on a melodic punk joy ride on “Find My Way “ that is absolutely breathtakingly brilliant.

“Find My Way” is melodic punk perfection 10 tracks of fast melodic punk rock, drenched in pop hooks and rhythmic breakdowns.

Drawing from the nineties punk template, All Hope Remains deliver their rapid-fire numbers with plenty of gusto and enthusiasm, littered with personal and social messaging.

From the opening track (Intro) that welcomes listeners to the ‘age of misinformation’, their lyrics often highlight some of the major points that are wrong about our modern world, whilst a majority of the lyrical content is mostly ‘personal’ in nature. Recent singles, ‘Burn’, ‘Mirror Mirror’ and ‘Standing By’, provide a good cross-section of what can be expected on this release, the best work yet from All Hope Remains.

Our favorite track on the new record is “Lights Out” the track is a blazing melodic delight and we loved every freaking second of it.

Run… Don’t Walk … And Check Out “Find My Way” from All Hope Remains .

Ellen May Delivers A Spectacular New EP With “A Lonely Way To Go”

We recently had the opportunity to check out the new EP “A Lonely Way To Go“ via We’re Trying Records from Perth, Australia based duo Ellen May

You can listen to “A Lonely Way To Go” Here

Ellen May was formed early 2022 in Perth, Western Australia, when Matt Matusik and vocalist Matt Branton connected via a local networking group. Demos and ideas were pinged back and forth, a friendship was made, and a musical bond was forged.

Ellen May’s debut EP ‘A Lonely Way To Go‘ is a 4 song collection of songs themed around the fact that we all die alone, even when surrounded by various relationships.

All 4 tracks on “A Lonely Way To Go” are well crafted songs with strong and catchy melodies coupled with memorable and perfectly placed vocals .

Opening track “How It Came To This” really peaked our interest, as it has an indie rock feel at the start . But, it developed into a stunning well crafted power pop gem . “Misconstrued “ shows of the great chemistry between Matusik and Branton. “Hawthorne” has a sad boy pop feel that the duo flawlessly executes . We had “Hawthorne” on endless repeat . Our favorite track is the closing track “Back To The Start” It is the kind of song that stays with you long after the music stops . We absolutely loved it .

Stunning melodies and brilliant lyrics make “A Lonely Way To Go “ from Ellen May an EP that you owe it to your ears to check out.

The Moving Stills Bring Their Unique Style And Sound Front And Center With Their Epic New Album “Wabi Sabi”

We recently got to check out the new album “Wabi Sabi from Australian indie pop band The Moving Stills

You can listen to “Wabi Sabi” on Spotify Here and on Apple Music Here

There is something very captivating about Australian indie pop band The Moving Stills . They bring a very warm , vibrant and familiar sound that you can’t ignore.

On their sophomore album “Wabi Sabi,”

The Moving Stills showcase a collection of songs that capture the last few years for the band in their personal lives, as well as life as a touring band. Partnering up with Izaac Wilson on production, they hone in on that Indie Pop sound as well as explore new grooves on a few of the album tracks.

The album themes cover a range of things, with everything from heartbreak to upbeat tracks that talk about love and being around your favourite people. In tracks like “Westside”, there’s mention of being on the road, which has made up a big part of the last few years for the band. They share, “We wanted to keep the honesty there on this album, and write about our experiences and so we’ve been very open in expressing our feelings in these songs.”

Speaking of their growth from their debut album, the band explains, “We wanted to introduce new feelings and vibes, to those on our first record Sunshine Corner. Whilst maintaining a lot of the key elements of our previous tunes, we delved into making a spread of new flavours. With songs like “Drive Home”, “In Your City” and the title-track “Wabi Sabi”, we leaned into a more groove based feel. Songs that you can immediately vibe out to. On the other hand, we had songs like “Volcano” and “Best Friend”, which showcases a more upbeat side to our sound. Definitely works well at gigs and on the dancefloor.”

We love everything about The Moving Stills and stunning new album “Wabi Sabi” In a world that is very unpredictable, it is refreshing to find a band like The Moving Stills.

The Moving Stills will be hitting the East and West coast of Australia in 2024 . You can check out dates below
