For the duet version, woods tapped rising singer-songwriter MacKenzie Porter to add her sweet country touch to the love song. woods elaborates on how the collaboration came together: “As soon as I heard MacKenzie’s vocals I knew she would be perfect for ‘last girl.’ It was written with a blend of easy listening pop and country undertones.
