Pinstock Push Forward With Striking New Single/Video “Going Backwards”

LA based band, Pinstock, continue to amaze with their blazing new single/ video, “Going Backwards” You can listen to “Going Backwards “ Here You can watch the video below.

We are absolutely all in on Pinstock and their latest single “Going Backwards” Pinstock, artfully blends Alt-Rock, Pop-Punk & Hip-Hop,the band formed in 2019.

“Going Backwards”, the second single from their forthcoming debut Wiretap Records EP out later this year

Produced by the legendary Paul Miner—former Death By Stereo bassist and renowned producer for Zebrahead, the Adolescents, CJ Ramone, and more—“Going Backwards” originated from a demo written and recorded by Pinstock’s drummer Jeff in the early 2000s. Here’s what the band had to say about the music video:

For the music video we decided to run with the theme of “Going Backwards”, and create a fictional story of us meeting and forming as a band. We all play exaggerated versions of our “old selves” (Myself being Hip-Hop, Ricky being Emo, Jeff being Punk Rock and Danny being Metal). An A&R for a Record Label (played by my wife Rosa Finch) is tasked with finding the next big thing, and decides the best way to do that is to bait us with “Money, Fame, Sex, Girls & Love”. Once we are all trapped in a room with instruments, we try out different variations until something works! After we leave the rehearsal room, we realize we have grown into new people and are ready for the next chapter in our lives.”

Pinstock has a creative and unique sound that takes Pop-Punk, Alternative Rock, and Hip-Hop influences to craft music that is truly jaw dropping amazing, and this is front and center on “Going Backwards “, Pinstock, is exactly the kind of band that made us fall in love with music in the first place.

Pinstock Absolutely Soar With New Single + Video “Left You Hanging”

We recently had the absolute honor to check out the new single, “Left Me Hanging”, via Wiretap Records, from Los Angeles based band, Pinstock.

You can listen to “Left Me Hanging “ Here . You can also the video which was directed by Jeff Antons below

Pinstock is a band that is a melting pot of musical styles and this is front and center on their latest single, “Left Me Hanging” Pinstock, artfully blending , Alt-Rock, Pop-Punk & Hip-Hop, formed in 2019. The band recently announced signing with LA based Wiretap Records.

Not only do we get the kick ass new single, “Left Me Hanging “ But…. We also got a blazing hot video , directed by Jeff Antons , that you can check out above.

Vocalist/guitarist Shane Finch says, “Our newest song Left Me Hanging was recorded at Buzzbomb Studios in Orange County with Producer Paul Miner. We’ve worked with Paul in the past and it’s always a good balance of creative freedom while also knowing you have the support you’ll need for those areas that still need growth. Also just a great, fun time!

This song was actually the first we have recorded with our current drummer Jeff Antons. Jeff has been in the band for a few years now so it was great finally getting to see his songwriting abilities come to life

Lyrically, I think this song is pulled from a subconscious part of the brain. Sometimes songs are our own truth and sometimes they are told from a fictional point of view, or perspective of someone else’s experience. I think Left Me Hanging is a combination of all of those things. My own experiences may have planted the seed and then I just imagine if that had grown into larger feelings.

Signing with Wiretap is a great accomplishment for us. When you meet someone through music that likes it enough to invest time and effort into it, it is a feeling we might be onto something. We look forward to working with them more in the near future!”

Pinstock, has a sound and dynamic that is simply epic , pulling from different musical styles allows the band to come at the listener at different angles and we think that because of that, the band really stands out in a sea of somewhat mundane musical offerings.

We can’t wait to see what they do next.

Announcement: The Whole Kameese Is Going On Hiatus

We started The Whole Kameese back in 2020 as a way to keep busy during the pandemic. We are so lucky to have worked with so many wonderful artists, promoters and other music professionals. We were also so blessed to be able to share so much amazing music . We have made the difficult decision to put the blog on the back burner. At this time we need to focus on other important matters. We do not know how long we will be away but, we will return. We thank all of you for your support

Jaymz V Drops Fresh New Video for New “Hard to Love” Remix Featuring Qari

We recently had the opportunity to check out the new video for “Hard to Love” Remix featuring Qari From Chicago based rapper Jaymz V . You can check the video which, was shot by High Life Films

You can listen to “Hard To Love” (Remix ) on Spotify below

We absolutely love the groove and vibe from Jaymz V

“Hard to Love”(Remix) is Jaymz V bringing his absolute “A” Game . Adding Qari to the remix brings it to a whole new level.

“Hard to Love” captures the angst of being an up-and-coming artist and trapped in the walls of a 9-5. On top of this stress, turmoil ensues with his significant other.

Exposed to music at a young age, Jaymz was susceptible to a variety of genres and artists such as Metallica, Lil Wayne, Twista and many more who started to shape the way he viewed and created music. Using influences from mainstream hip-hop, rap, R&B, underground Chicago hip hop and incorporating tones and beats from a wide array of genres, Jaymz has created a unique sound that represents him. In 2020, upon hitting a debilitating case of writers’ block, Jaymz flew to Brooklyn, NY to meet and write with producer/songwriter Natalie Shamoun, who helped shape his new era of creation and set him on a new musical path.

I wrote this song one night while walking home. I had a fight with my significant other and I needed some time away,” said Jaymz in an interview with Sheen Magazine. “I feel like it was an embodiment of my stress, venting and being honest with myself. The world is cold. Music is my way to pass time and work through things. We as artists spend countless dollars and hours on ideas and journeys, and some go nowhere. But eventually everything will pay off in the end.”

The ability and talent of Jaymz V is truly otherworldly . There are those who can rhythm and have great skill . Then there are artists who have a vision and purpose with their music. Jaymz V is an artist.

We are all in on Jaymz V , he absolutely shines in the new video for “Hard To Love” (Remix) featuring Qari
