We recently had the opportunity to check out the debut EP “Throne Of Mine” from New Zealand based dark pop singer Michèle Ducray
You can listen to “Throne Of Mine” on Spotify Here and on Apple Music Here
From the first note of her debut EP “Throne Of Mine” it is clear that Michèle Ducray, is an exceptional musical talent. The opening track “Monster” is a big and beautiful song where, Michèle’s flawless vocals are on full display .
We could help but bop to the electric beat of “Pyscho” The melody on “Psycho” is down right hypnotic. We definitely hit repeat on this one several times .
Working with Michèle was celebrated producer Liam Quinn (Peaches PRC, Rita Ora), who produced, mixed and mastered it at his studio in Sydney, Australia.
Our favorite track on the EP is without a doubt “Ace Of Spades” It is a melodically pleasing well crafted track that is Michèle at her absolute best .
The final track of the EP is the title track “Throne Of Mine” has this really cool vibe to it . The track has an interesting tempo that draws you into the infectious beat .
On the meaning of the EP Michèle confides, “The EP showcases some pivotal times of my life. Using both dark and light pop vibes, I reminisce about my childhood, bullying, failed relationships, and even sing about the world ending! It’s a deeply personal record and some parts were tough to record, but we got there in the end!”
From beginning to end “Throne Of Mine” from Michèle Ducray, is an absolutely stunning EP . Make sure you don’t miss out on this musical treat.
