We recently had the amazing opportunity, to check out the new red hot new single, “Misery”, from Edmonton based skatepunk trio, Broken Yolks.
Misery is the second single from their upcoming first full length release “The View of the Bystander” which releases on August 8, via the fine folks from High End Denim Records.
You can listen to the glorious new single, “Misery” Here
Broken Yolks ( besides having a killer name) have a refreshing, high energy and vibrant punk sound that we are absolutely mesmerized about . “Misery” is the perfect tune to make your punk rock heart, extremely happy.
The track is a haunting, introspective song that personifies emotional pain as a familiar yet destructive companion. The lyrics explore the lingering impact of trauma, depression, or heartbreak—experiences that, once ignored or buried, return with greater force. The song identifies a toxic comfort in revisiting emotional suffering, almost like welcoming back an old friend. The song captures the complex relationship we can develop with our darker thoughts—resisting them, missing them, and fearing their return all at once.
So go find your favorite music listening spot, and go get lost in the punk rock goodness of “Misery”, from Broken Yolks.

The fury and speed of “Plastic Lives” had us on the edge of our seats. Dutch Nuggets have their own of melodically and sonically perfect style of skatepunk that is absolutely off the charts .
The band is back from hibernation with their long-awaited second full-length album, Fishbowl’d!, out April 4th via Thousand Islands Records/Bearded Punk Records. The boys teamed up with Thousand Islands Records and Chris Fogal (Cigar, Pears, Counterpunch) to deliver a perfected and matured version of their signature blazing punk/hardcore sound, complete with infectious three-part harmonies, while also exploring some new territories. We recently had the distinct honor to check out the new single, “Flicker Out” , via High End Denim Records from Prince Edward Island’s finest – TeethOut!
You can listen to the blazing new single, “Teeth Out” on Spotify Here , Apple Music Here and on Bandcamp Here
We consider ourselves extremely lucky to be able to listen to some amazing music and share it with the world. Teeth Out in our opinion has such a unique sound and vibe , and it is on full display on their latest incredible single, “Flicker Out”
TeethOut is a skate-punk band from Charlottetown, PEI, formed in 2024. Made up of very middle-aged men trying to do things like they were 30 again, the band includes Josh Lavigne on vocals, Ira Banks and Brandon Doyle on guitars, Pete MacDonald on bass, and Jason Ezeard on drums. Inspired by the 90s punk sound, they bring an energetic style and catchy melodies that is so electrifying, they could probably light up all of the houses in PEI, with their amazing musical energy.
Following a lineup change right before the band released Put Your Money Where Your MouthIs ( which by the way freaking rules!( in January, they wasted no time writing with their two new members, diving straight into fresh material. Flicker Out is the first look at this new chapter. As always, the band used Shawn Taggart at Hog Audio to produce & mix the track. And there’s more on the way—a new four-song EP, Brittle but Elite, is set to drop in early April, delivering another dose of high-energy, no-nonsense skate punk.
Ozone –“Flicker Out was born from frustration—the kind that comes from watching the same fights play out over and over with no real winners. We wanted the song to feel urgent and raw, with lyrics that capture the exhaustion of endless conflict and the need to step away. I think Josh captured that well with his lyrics. Musically, we feel that it hits fast and hard, balancing melody with aggression, and of course, staying true to our “old-man” approach to skate-punk.”
We are absolutely over the moon about “Flicker Out” from Teeth Out, and we can’t wait for more.
Catch TeethOut on tour!

Formed in San Diego in August of 2006, Punchcard emerged on the San Diego punk scene with a fast, melodic and technical punk rock style. Over the course of nearly the next 2 decades, they’ve built a signature sound unique to themselves, all the while keeping true to the genre. Their songs have something for everyone as they emphasize political fallout, social instability, and personal mistrust. all with a dose of sing-along vibes, and passionate taunts. Influenced by many of the late 90’s skate punk bands like NOFX, Lagwagon, Propagandhi, and Strung Out, they pushed through the COVID pandemic to continue making songs about our current times., magnetizing punk rockers that stuck around the scene.
As soon we heard the bass line on their new single, “Stealing My Identity “ we knew we’re in for a treat . We were bouncing along and singing almost instantly . Punchcard brings it to a whole new level.
Their upcoming album, Soap Box Hero, drops on 2/22/25 via Felony Records, and is set to deliver a blistering mix of ferocious punk anthems and razor-sharp commentary.
