You can check out the video for “Fever Dreaming “ below

The opening track is Dayshifter at it’s absolute best . “Emerald Green “ shows how the band can artfully balance between a very melodic sound and then make the seamless transition to a heavier sound.

The next track “Holy Ghost “ is one of our favorite tracks on the album “Holy Ghost” has this powerful and electric vibe to it that is just perfect. The vocals on this track are stunningly brilliant.

Formed in 2017, Dayshifter have been on a mission to carve out their own unique sound, blending the intensity of hardcore with the melody of alternative rock. With a handful of successful singles under their belt the band soon became known for their emotive and powerful sound, going on to share the stage with the likes of Loathe, King 810 and Oceans Ate Alaska.

Hiraeth was recorded over three weekends with Dan Kerr (Our Hollow Our Home, Shields) at Avenue Studios in Surrey. The album centres itself around the themes of mental health, depression and anxiety. Through songs about love, loss, death and the inner workings of the mind during life’s darkest moments, the album aims to break down the stigma surrounding mental health and encourage open communication.

We found ourselves totally enthralled with “HIRAETH “ The songs “1936”, “Rain (Forever) , and “Old Souls,Young Hearts” are phenomenal songs that we couldn’t get enough of and had them on constant repeat.

Discussing what they hope to achieve with the album the band explain:“Our goal with Hiraeth is to break down the stigma surrounding mental health and encourage open communication. We hope to use our music as a platform to show listeners that they are not alone in their struggles and that there is always someone who understands how they feel.”

A powerful statement from an even more powerful band . Dayshifter (Nathan Dillion, vocals, Tom Simpson , rhythm guitar, backing vocals, Kyle Foster, lead guitar, James Taylor, bass guitar, backing vocals, Liam Robson, drums) are a well oiled musical tour de force.

Dayshifter has crafted a jaw dropping collection of unbelievable songs that if they were paintings, they would be hanging in the world’s best museums. “Hiraeth” is an absolute can’t miss.
