So quick story… We here at The Whole Kameese have been absolutely loving the new EP from Pollyanna Blue (Zoe Collins, guitars, vocals and Rich Earle, bass, vocals ) So much so that it has been a mainstay in our office playlist (the whole EP , start to finish) Well, we have been rocking out to Pollyanna Blue that we almost forgot to file the review… But have no fear dear Whole Kameese fans!!!! We have pulled ourselves away long enough to tell you that…. “Trials &Tribulations “ from Pollyanna Blue is 100 % FREAKING AWESOME! ( Don’t worry we have a lot more to say about the EP…)

The opening track on “Trials & Tribulations “- “Saviour” is probably our favorite on the EP

From the opening guitar feedback/buzz “Saviour” hooks you in with it’s soaring melodies and flawless vocals from Zoe Collins this song is brilliant. We love the lines in “Saviour “ Because no one can ever set me free “ I’m the Saviour of my own tragedies “

We first fell in love with “Haunted “ last October ( It’s the perfect song for October)

“Haunted” is a sonic work of art . We love the bass line , Rich Earle proves that he is an absolute master in providing perfect creative bass lines . You can check out the epic video for “Haunted “ below

Next up is the latest single from Pollyanna Blue “Strong Enough “ We love everything about “Strong Enough” per our original review “There is this raw electrifying energy surrounding “Strong Enough “ in a world that is constantly changing it is nice to have a band like Pollyanna Blue and a song like “Strong Enough “ to get you through.

The final track on “Trials & Tribulations “ is “Sapphire Lake” This track has this real almost jazz feel to it . We really love the tempo on this one, as it provides the perfect build to really spotlight the stunning vocals .

“Trials & Tribulations” from Pollyanna Blue “ is everything that makes music so great. We know the year isn’t over yet but…. We can guarantee that “Trials & Tribulation will find its way on our “Best Of 2023” list.
