Caroline Romano Delivers Spectacular New EP “A Brief Epic “

We were so excited to finally check out the brand new EP “A Brief Epic” from Nashville-based alt-pop sensation Caroline Romano .

We have made it no secret that we are big fans of Caroline Romano , so our heart was full of absolute joy when we finally got a chance to treat our ears to “A Brief Epic “

You can listen to “A Brief Epic Here

The amazing 6-track project includes past singles “This House,”Guts” and “Mississippi Air,” as well as three previously unreleased tracks: “St. George,” “Heartbreak You Can Hear” and “Then I Woke Up.

Until last year, I had little to no understanding as to why people lost their minds over other people,” Caroline writes. “I had no references to understand these classic love stories. I use the phrase ‘love story’ loosely – carelessly, really – as I don’t think this situation was one of those at all. It’s something that falls far short of such a title, but it carries the weight. It’s a brief epic.”

The EP follows the ‘brief epic’ as it unfolds. It opens with “Heartbreak You Can Hear,” a rapturous track that mirrors those early feelings of infatuation. Then, the overthinking kicks in and you start to believe maybe it’s all too good to be true (“Guts” and “Mississippi Air”). “This House” is about knowing the end closing in on you yet you’re still clinging on, and “St. George” is when you come to understand that the end has arrived and now you must begin to process the grief. The EP concludes with “Then I Woke Up,” which encapsulates the moment you realize that while the pain hasn’t entirely gone, it doesn’t hurt quite so much anymore. It’s a story we can all relate to, a tale as old as time.

We found ourselves totally captivated by “A Brief Epic” from Caroline Romano, we think it’s to say that we have all felt these feelings at one time or another, so because of that it is such a relatable body of work.
