Gets Old” The Band’s First New Album Since 2001, Out Now on SBÄM Records

Recently we had the awesome opportunity to check out the new album “GETS OLD” from punk favorites Diesel Boy .

You can listen to “GETS OLD” on Spotify Here and on Apple Music Here

To say we were excited to check out “GETS OLD from Diesel Boy , is a huge understatement. We can vividly remember the band coming out of Santa Rosa,CA and absolutely being a staple in our cd changer.

“GETS OLD” is Diesel Boy’s first album since 2001 and , it absolutely rocks .

Right from the first note of “Lost Decade” it’s pretty clear that Diesel Boy is gassed up and ready to go.

“Dirty Dishes “ is a melodic tour de force, we found ourselves singing along to this one almost immediately.

Now based in Seattle, returning members Diesel Dave (vocals and guitar) and Greg Hensley (bass) are joined by Chad Philipps (guitar) and Christopher Thomas (drums), two rad dudes whose musical chops add new layers to the band’s skate punk sound.

. “GETS OLD “ is chock full of with the band’s trademark pop culture references and features songs about music festival bros (“Festival Summer”), sad black metal fans (“Corpse Paint Blues”), chess-playing automatons (“The Turk”), and fellow songwriters who died too soon (“Two Stones”).

The album was produced by Matt Bayles, known for his work with Pearl Jam, Mastodon, and Botch, who leans equally into the guitar-heavy sound he is known for while flexing his pop sensibilities. The album is a whole lot of fun, showcasing a musical evolution that simultaneously picks up right where Diesel Boy left off.

Diesel Boy is proof positive that no matter how long it’s been , great bands never go out of style . “GETS OLD” is a freaking amazing record from a phenomenal band . You don’t want to miss this one .
