The band was formed in 2013 by violinist Bennet Cerven and has since become renown in the international world folk scene. The band’s core hails from three different continents: American violinist Bennet Cerven, German guitarist Florian Eisenschmidt and Australian drummer Julian Lardis. Their shows are packed full of surprises, known to feature international guest performers, adding to the energetic worldly sounds at the heart of their repertoire. They have toured extensively in Europe and North America. 

Storm Searching” takes the listener on a captivating journey. The track is part of their upcoming 2025 album, a narrative-driven exploration of heroes facing inner and outer challenges, navigating personal transformation, and overcoming adversity. With its sub-octave guitar, full drum kit, and psychedelic undertones reminiscent of Jethro Tull (with whom the band performed in 2023), “Storm Searching” pushes the boundaries of The Trouble Notes’ signature sound.

The Trouble Notes are a massive breath of fresh air in today’s musical landscape. The Trouble Notes are master musicians as well as master showmen. We were blown away by “Storm Searching” and we have a feeling they are just getting warmed up .
