Part-fever dream, part auto-fiction, Lindsey Rose Black is Jenny in this twang-kissed art pop and indie rock track and she is on! the! run!  If The Chicks and Wet Leg had a baby, it would be this song. While “Whisk Miss” is a work of tongue-in-cheek fantasy in the realm of The Chicks‘”Goodbye, Earl,” its themes of feminine rage and the power of community to heal from harm are piercingly true. 

 A survivor of a years-long stalking situation, Lindsey is immensely passionate about everyone’s right to feel safe in their bodies, in their homes, and at her shows. 2024 marks the first year she feels personally safe enough to speak out publicly about her experience to advocate for better resources and protections for DV and stalking survivors everywhere. 

In a musical landscape that is often mundane, Lindsey Rose Black is a talented refreshing breath of fresh air. “Whisk Miss” is absolute genius.
