Adult Leisure Delivers Pure Magic With New Single, “Dancing Don’t Feel Right”

We recently had the distinct honor to check out the latest melodic gem,”Dancing Don’t Feel Right”, from Bristol(UK)-based alt-indie quartet Adult Leisure. ( spoiler alert : it’s freaking phenomenal) You can listen to “Dancing Don’t Feel Right” on Spotify Here, Apple Music, Here and on Amazon Music Here.

Adult Leisure, has a sound and vibe as red hot and radiant as the sun. “Dancing Don’t Feel Right”, is yet another example of just how fantastically amazing they are.

The track follows November’s acclaimed release ‘Kiss Me Like You Miss Her’, which saw support from BBC Radio 6’s Indie Forever show, The Line Of Best Fit, Fresh on the Net and multiple Spotify editorial playlists. Their August single ‘Borderline’ was used to open an E4 Made In Chelsea episode, their first national TV sync placement.

Dancing Don’t Feel Right’, recorded and mixed with Ollie Searle at Humm Studios and mastered by John Webber (David Bowie, Duran Duran, Coach Party) is a refreshing dose of escapism which feels both incredibly current yet built to last, their signature brand of genre-fluidity ensuring they exist completely outside of time.

The track delivers a blend of dancefloor energy infused with a driving bassline, warm, vibrant synths, catchy percussion and infectious melodies, with Neil Scott’s yearning vocals instructing listeners to leave their inhibitions and responsibilities at the door and lean into the things they shouldn’t.

On the track’s lyrical inspirations, the band says, “We wanted to create a track that asks listeners to step out of line, ditch their inhibitions, and give in to the temptation of doing exactly what they shouldn’t. It’s a narrative of inner conflict, desire and rebellion. The track captures the feeling of being on the edge: stuck in a moment where you know you should hold back, but something – or someone – won’t let you. ‘Dancing Don’t Feel Right’ is our way of ignoring responsibility, silencing the voice of reason, and giving in to the forbidden thrill of indulgence. The song is about the urge to let loose, to break out of the mould and do the bad thing.”

Alongside the announcement of the amazing new single, the band are incredibly proud to reveal that they’ve signed a publishing deal with Wipeout Music , and with an ever growing buzz surrounding their recent output, have announced their biggest headline show to date at Bristol’s Thekla on October 10th 2025.
