There is a ton to love about Sidecar, they have an authentic sound and vibe that is simply otherworldly. We were hooked instantly, the live version of “Double Down” brilliantly showcases the next level musicianship of Sidecar.

Formed in 2025 by a tight-knit group of seasoned players — Gabe Gowen (Lead Vocals), Anders Hansson (Lead Guitar), Ben Jones (Bass), Jeff Ward (Keys), and Dylan Duffy (Drums) — each member has cut their teeth in different corners of the Nashville music scene. That collective experience shapes the band’s layered sound, where soaring guitar lines meet grounded rhythm sections and commanding vocals.

The band says, “It’s a song that Gabe wrote solo after a trip to Mexico years ago that was brought to life by the full band in the studio. The instruments and performance lean heavily on the story telling and emotion in Gabe’s lyrics.”

In celebration of the release, Sidecar made their television debut performing “Double Down” on Today in Nashville, bringing their electrifying live presence to screens across Middle Tennessee and introducing a wider audience to their signature sound.

Sidecar blends heartfelt storytelling with raw rock energy and deep soulful undertones. Drawing from a wide range of influences across Americana, classic rock, and indie roots music, the band delivers a sound that feels both timeless and refreshingly original. Their songs balance polished musicianship with an unfiltered authenticity that resonates long after the last note fades.

We have a feeling that Sidecar, is just getting warmed up and we can’t wait to see what they do next.
