The Falls, are a band who have a one of a kind sound, that is down right intoxicating. “Open Fire” is a smart hip melodic track that will win you over instantly.
Drawing inspiration from classic and contemporary indie influences like The Courteneers, The Kooks and Jake Bugg, their sound combines energetic guitar hooks with sharp lyrical storytelling. Their debut EP ‘Viva La Falls’ was released in September of 2025, already amassing over 100,000 streams and earning early praise from Radio X’s John Kennedy. In February 2026, the band undertook their biggest hometown headline show to date, at the iconic Manchester Academy. Their upcoming November headline at Manchester’s Gullivers recently went on sale, and sold out in under 24 hours, leading them to add a second, more intimate date at The Castle Hotel.

Produced, mixed and mastered by Luke Owens (SHADE, Montello, The Sprats), their upcoming new single ‘Open Fire‘ is a sub-three-minute powder keg of energy from start to finish. The track blends explosive drums, melodic bass lines, frenetic guitars and urgent vocals, musically and lyrically encapsulating a loss of control.
Discussing the creation of the single, vocalist and lyricist Harrison Sharp says, “We’ve been itching to record Open Fire for a little while as it’s a definite fan favourite live. It’s short, sharp, super catchy and encapsulates our current sound perfectly. The song carries a fiery energy that mirrors the sense of everything falling apart, where control feels just out of reach. We used ‘Open Fire’ as a metaphor describing being ‘shot at’ and to translate that emotion into something physical, symbolising danger, disorder, and the importance of recognising when to pause, step back and to look after ourselves.”
“Open Fire” is without question a song that deserves a huge amount of love. The Falls have truly struck gold with , “Open Fire”
