Performing at New England Americana Festival in Medfield on Saturday, June 6
We recently had the magnificent opportunity to check out the new single, “Sliver” , from Massachusetts alt-rock band, Jennifer Tefft &The Strange. You can listen to “Silver” on Spotify Here Apple Music Here
Right from the first brilliant note of “Silver”, it is crystal clear that Jennifer Tefft & The Strange ( Jennifer Tefft , vocals, John Parrillo, guitar, Stephen “Sharky” Becca, bass and Christ Jost, drum ) have delivered a new electrifying new single, with “Silver “ long after the music has ended.

“I constantly look for silver linings — the world is dark and scary these days,” Tefft admits. “I find silver linings in the simple things and moments of simple joy or beauty.”
This soaring new composition, which adds a euphoric pop sheen to the band’s usually gritty and dramatic alternative rock sound, is the follow-up to February’s hypnotic “A Little More,” and last fall’s powerful cover of The Lumineers’ “Salt and the Sea.”
And “Silver” arrives just ahead of the band’s appearance at The New England Americana Festival at Bellforge Arts Center in Medfield on Saturday, June 6, marking Tefft’s return to her hometown.
Performing live and creating music with her band – the guitarist and powerhouse vocalist is rounded out in The Strange by longtime collaborator and guitarist John Parrillo; Stephen “Sharky” Beccia on bass; and new recruit Chis Jost on drums (who makes his on-record debut for the band) – has been a major silver lining for Tefft over the past few years, when the chaos of the world and the chaos of our personal lives seemed destined for a collision course.
And like the album and previous single “A Little More,” “Silver” was produced, mixed and engineered by Bob St. John for PDQ Audio, and the acclaimed producer is quickly becoming the unofficial fifth member of the band. It was mastered by Adam Matza for Magic Ears Mastering, and the single features original art by Beccia, with graphic design enhancements by Tefft.
“Silver”, from Jennifer Tefft & The Strange , is precisely what happens when master level musicians take their creative energy and bring it all to the table… The result is a song that will instantly make you stand up and pay attention. How good is “Silver” from Jennifer Tefft And The Strange? It is pure gold.
