MEGG Releases New Single “Clarity” ( And It Rocks) Ahead of New EP ‘Low Life Club’ – Out October 24

We recently had the stellar opportunity to check out the new single, “Clarity”, from South Bay–born, Nashville-based alternative/pop-punk artist MEGG. You can listen to “Clarity” Here

From the moment you hear the electrifying new single , Clarity” , from MEGG., you can’t help but be absolutely mesmerized. ( The song is freaking perfect)

Clarity takes me back to my roots as a vocalist. It’s a cry for any semblance of honesty in our currently very dark world.”- MEGG

A collection of six raw and unapologetic tracks, Low Life Club cements MEGG’s status as one of pop-punk’s boldest new voices. Blending pop sensibility with punk-rock roots, she’s built a sound that’s rebellious, catchy, and deeply personal — a fearless soundtrack for tomboys, romantics, loudmouths, and misfits alike. Channeling Gwen Stefani’s swagger, Hayley Williams’ firepower, and Joan Jett’s grit, MEGG brings early-2000s energy into a modern, unapologetically self-defined era.

Low Life Club’ feels like the unofficial soundtrack to the West Coast and is easily some of the best music I’ve ever put out,” she adds. “It’s multidimensional — the heaviness, the vulnerability, the riot, the vocal chops, the nostalgia, the party, and everything in between. It’s got a little something for everyone. I’m really proud of these songs and stoked to give them to my fans.”

A graduate of USC’s inaugural Popular Music Performance Program, MEGG has been tearing up stages across the country — from headlining hometown venues like Saint Rocke (Hermosa Beach) to packing The End (Nashville). She’s shared stages with KISS and The Used, opened at Musink, and recently performed at the 30th Anniversary Vans Warped Tour in Long Beach. She’s also sung the National Anthem for the LA DodgersLA Galaxy, and LA Sparks at Crypto.com Arena.

Following a string of singles in 2024 — including the bratty fan-favorite “IDC” (currently spinning on SiriusXM’s The Pop Off and 107.7 The Bone’s Bone Breakers)MEGG continues to build momentum toward Low Life Club. Earlier tracks like “Get Over It” and “The End” gave fans a taste of what’s to come, showcasing her knack for combining anthemic hooks with raw emotion and unapologetic attitude. Master Synth-Pop Storyteller: Fletcher Moules Debuts AI-Powered Music Video for ‘Maybe’ as Part of His Project The New Condition

The creative force behind YouTube’s billion-view Clash of Clans cinematic universe and Netflix’s Emmy-nominated Entergalactic (starring Kid Cudi, Timothée Chalamet and more), Fletcher Moules is turning the lens inward with the release of “Maybe”, a melancholic synth-pop postcard from his music project The New Condition. The track and its accompanying music video debut Friday, September 19.

You can watch “Maybe” below.

You can listen to “Maybe” Here

We are absolutely enthralled with the cinematic marvel and synth pop masterpiece that is “Maybe” from The New Condition.

While Moules has built a career directing blockbuster stories—from Super Bowl commercials with Liam Neeson and Christoph Waltz to co-writing Agent Elvis with Priscilla PresleyThe New Condition marks a return to something deeply personal.

This is a quiet creative pull that’s been with me for 20 years,” says Moules. “Maybe was written in a very different chapter of my life. I never thought I’d share it—but it lingered, and over time, matured into something more layered, warm, and emotionally resonant.”

Built on nostalgic synths, crisp electric drums, and an unfiltered vocal performance, Maybe floats between joy and longing. It’s soft and strange in all the right ways—a sonic exhale for uncertain days.

Produced with mixing by Mark Saunders (The Cure, Erasure, Depeche Mode) and mastering by Matt Colton(Blur, Charli XCX, New Order), “Maybe” is a collision of memory and modernity.

The accompanying music video pushes that ethos even further—created entirely with Google’s Flow Veo3, a cutting-edge AI video tool. Using only his own photographs and licensed images as prompt material, Moules crafted a cinematic, emotionally rich visual journey for just $300 in credits.

The result? A full AI-generated video that looks and feels indistinguishable from live action—without sacrificing artistic intent or ethical responsibility.

I think of these AI tools like making an animated film,” Moules says. “To me, it proves AI can empower independent artists to tell high-end, emotionally resonant stories—if used responsibly.”

The video depicts a dreamlike drive through moments in the cycle of life: ants carrying leaves, priests with a coffin, a man sleeping beneath an overpass. The car ultimately drives off a cliff and sinks beneath the water—only for the protagonist to escape and find the embrace of a silhouetted woman. It’s poetic, surreal, and entirely AI-built.

There aren’t too many artists creating full AI music videos like this yet,” Moules notes. “It’s a new creative frontier, and one I wanted to approach with craft and care.”

Before directing billion-view content and award-winning series, Fletcher Moules was a musician first. His teenage band Vapourware won Triple J Unearthed, played Homebake, and toured with acts like Cut Copy. With The New Condition, he’s reconnecting with that part of himself—redefining what’s possible for independent artists in 2025.

If creativity and music is your spark, you owe it to yourself to check out “Maybe”, from The New Condition.

Blumenstiel (he/him), and pedal steel player Pat King (they/them) blends Indie Punk, Alt Country and Psychedelia with
confessional, yet conversational and relatable songwriting.

Commenting on the song, Wright shares:

When I wrote Felt, I was fairly fresh out of a breakup and was spending a lot of time looking for distractions. Instead of tackling
some bigger questions and engaging in a healthy recovery, I was tucking away my feelings into compartments and distracting
myself with casual dating. I was spending some late nights slipping into the backstories of strangers’ lives – exhilarating, but
merely theatrical. It never eased the issue at hand. I was alone, and I was terrified to sit with that.“

Maggie Kane Takes Her Mesmerizing And Melodically Pleasing Sound , Center Stage With Her Stunning Debut Single, “Candied Ginger”

We recently had the distinct honor to check out the debut single, “Candied Ginger” , from New York City , artist Maggie Kane.

You can listen to the glorious debut single, “Candied Ginger” on Spotify Here , Apple Music Here

Maggie Kane, is a refreshing and radiant voice that puts forth her whole heart and soul in her music. “Candied Ginger” is a song stays effortlessly in your soul long after the music has faded .

Maggie Kane , is a talented and gifted songwriter/ storyteller that artfully crafts songs that have vibrant pop sensibilities and subtle synth textures. We were literally hanging on every melody and word of “Candied Ginger” as if it were a page turning best selling novel.

Maggie Kane, through her music speaks to the soft-hearted and the overthinkers, with a sound that sits somewhere between the whimsy of Gabrielle Aplin and the wistful intimacy of Lizzy McAlpine. Candied Ginger explores the lingering aftertaste left behind when a relationship ends. It’s for anyone who’s ever held on too long and felt the quiet ache of knowing it’s time to move on.

Speaking about , “Candied Ginger” , Maggie shares : The song was born from a fleeting moment—being handed a ginger candy by someone I knew I had to let go of,” says Kane. “It became a metaphor for the things we keep consuming, even when we know they’re not good for us. When I’m working through something complicated, I always find myself at the piano—and this time, that feeling became a song.”

Kane’s roots are in the theatre—she’s the co-creator and lyricist of “this old haunt”, a folk musical and 2025 O’Neill semifinalist. Previously, it has had an academic premiere at Carnegie Mellon University, workshopped through NYU’s Tisch New Theatre, Fort Salem Theatre, as well as participated in the Latiné Musical Theatre Lab and Prospect Theater Company’s New Musical Mixtape concert. Maggie was a finalist for 2024’s international songwriting competition Write Out Loud Across all her original work, Kane explores coming of age and the female experience with a voice that’s been described as poetic and raw.

The mark of a true artist, is someone who can elegantly say what the rest of us are thinking, Maggie Kane, achieves this ten fold with her magnificent debut single, “Candied Ginger”

Eighty Ninety Release Sparkling New Single, “Hollywood Dream”

We have been operating The Whole Kameese, for 5 years, and the number one thing we love about what we do is watching bands evolve and find their groove. This is certainly the case with Indie-pop duo Eighty Ninety, the project of brothers Abner (vocals, production) and Harper (guitar, production) James

You can listen to “Hollywood Dream “ Here.

Hollywood Dream.” Propelled by pulsing guitars, irresistible hooks, and cinematic production, the track dives into the push and pull of a love that feels straight out of a movie — blurring the line between romantic fantasy and harsh reality.

Hollywood Dream’ is about the thrill and longing that can consume a relationship until you start to wonder if that intensity is love or just addiction,” the duo explain. “It’s about the desire to mythologize your life, to see yourself inside a cinematic story that gives everything meaning — even the pain. But it’s also about how those stories can trap you. And how, even when you know that, part of you still wants to stay inside the dream.”

What we love about Eighty Ninety, is that the way they craft songs is truly art form. Carefully creating breathtaking melodies that are perfectly nestled within flawless vocals . It is a true work of art … and “Hollywood Dream” is the latest in a long line of musical masterpieces.

SUPERINTENDO Level Up In A Big Way With Latest Single, “Sporting Life”

We recently had the distinct honor and privilege to check out the new single, “Sporting Life”, via Punkerton Records, from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, genre-curious punk band , SUPERINTENDO.

You can listen to “Sporting Life “ Here

You can check out the lyric video below

Right out of the gate there is so much to love about SUPERINTENDO , and their vibrant and high energy new single , “Sporting Life” , is a melodically well crafted gem that shows the next level musicianship of SUPERINTENDO

While at its core, “Sporting Life” is a song about adults having a squirt gun fight, there’s also a level of protecting that childhood innocence and fun now that we’re adults. It’s a reminder that life doesn’t have to be completely serious all the time. Especially now, when life is harder than ever, Superintendo reminds us that it’s okay to shoot people with a squirt gun in the middle of the day during the week.

This song is about a bunch of grownups having a giant water gun fight on a weekday. Serious stuff. I wrote this song the summer I turned 40. My wife and kids love it and knew that it was about a huge water gun fight. So on my birthday they threw a huge surprise party with like 75 people who all hid in my back yard and surprised me by shooting a ton of water guns at me. It was awesome.” –Luke West (vocals and guitar)

So go find your favorite music listening spot and get lost in the punk rock goodness of “Sporting Life” from SUPERINTENDO

New Hampshire Rocks! Robotic Hawks Have Struck Absolute Gold With Latest EP, “New Better Things”

Artwork by David SanAngelo

We recently had the distinct honor and privilege to check out the new EP, “New, Better Things, from Hudson, New Hampshire, alt-rock trio, Robotic Hawks.

You can listen to “New, Better Things “ on Spotify Here, Apple Music Here

The greatest feeling in the world as a music blogger, is when you listen to a new record, and at end throw off the headphones, and shout , “That was freaking amazing!” , this is without question , how we feel about “New, Better Things , from Robotic Hawks

Robotic Hawks, have unleash a new full-throttle, four-track EP titled New, Better Things , today , (Thursday, July 24,) ahead of a live appearance and performance later that tonight ( July 24th) on WaveRadio just over the state line in Lowell, their “drunk” swell of creativity arrived last spring.

The band had just finished participating in the 2024 Rock and Roll Rumble, and fresh off the release of their All Business EP – whose lead single, “High Maintenance,” was spun as one of The Coolest Songs in the World by Little Steven’s Underground Garage on SiriusXM – banged out a series of successful live gigs around southern New England. Momentum was on their side, and creativity was flowing.

We stared at the blank page and kept throwing stuff around until we found our spark,” says vocalist and bassist Tyler Pollard. “We always write together in the same room. If one of us likes something, we stop to explore and develop. These three songs all popped out pretty quickly – but the refinement took several months.”

The “refinementPollard references was another example of Robotic Hawks Pollard joined, as usual, by Shawn Doherty on guitar and Brian Sturk on drums – stepping out of their comfort zone. The band recorded New, Better Things with Benny Grotto at Mad Oak Studios in Allston, Massachusetts, a departure from the practice space self-recordings of prior work, which was then co-produced and mixed by longtime ally and associate Andrew King. The Hawks then took it to be mixed by Paul Q. Kolderie, the iconic producer, engineer, and mixer known for his work with Pixies, Radiohead, Hole, Dinosaur Jr., Juliana Hatfield, Morphine, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, and countless others.

“New, Better Things “ from Robotic Hawks, sounds like a perfectly tuned 1969 MGB roadster, but in record form. We were completely blown away.

In our honest opinion, opening track, “Andale’”, may be Robotic Hawks, at their very best . The sound , the vibe …. Letter perfect.

The record artfully , showcases the band’s pub rock energy, garage-pop smarts, and power-pop urgency over three new original tracks, led by first single “Heartbeat,” a bass-driven number that shines like glass and cuts with the same intensity, and a cover of Crowded House’s 1980s classic “Something So Strong.New Better, Things is teeming with anthemic choruses and sing-along verses, and continues to showcase a band growing more confident in its sonic swagger.

This EP has all of the standard Robotic Hawks hallmarks, but with more attention to vibe and groove,” Pollard says. “Our mission statement has always been ‘As long as it’s rock and roll, it’s us.’ We always just try to write interesting songs, but this feels more measured and well-paced to reveal the personality of each song. These songs just feel looser, but manage to come across as surefooted.”

Through all the spectacular melodies and perfectly places lyrics throughout “New, Better Things”, what stood out most to our music loving ears, is how “riff-tastic” , “New, Better Things “ is . Every song is chock full of show stopping tasteful guitar goodness that we simply could not get enough of.

Go find your favorite music listening spot, and get lost in the musical goodness of “New, Better Things” from Robotic Hawks.

Ivory Layne Completely Dazzles With New EP, “Part-Time Jobs Near Me”

We recently had the opportunity to check out the new EP, “Part Time Jobs Near Me “, from singer-songwriter/ producer, Ivory Layne who is thrilled to release her new EP Part Time Jobs Near Me” You can listen to “Part Time Jobs Near Me” Here

Ivory Layne, has created an absolute musical triumph of epic proportions, with “Part Time Jobs Near Me”

A natural-born songwriter from age six, Layne taught herself music production in her teens, moving to Nashville to craft a qunique voice entirely her own. After over a decade of making music in Nashville, Layne moved back home to North Carolina at the end of 2024 to immerse herself in her independent artistry. Fleshing out demos she had started in Music City, Layne worked from her makeshift studio, once her dad’s office, to create an EP from the tightwire walk of chasing a dream and facing reality. From the disillusionment of the music industry in MEHTROPOLIS to the isolation of MISS GRAVITY, Layne paints a vivid portrait of what happens when ambitions don’t yet mirror reality. She playfully touches on healthy boundaries in SPACE!, then quickly turns round to her vulnerable lack thereof in LIKE ALICE. OPAL RING offers a chill moment of narrative imagery, a Taylor Swift-esque fan favorite from her Track Tuesday Instagram series. And of course, the paramount work of the EP, ASMR, is Layne’s anthem for indie artists like her who have surrendered their life’s work for pennies in return.  Layne has made a name for herself in Music City and London across multiple genres, collaborating with legendary writers and producers such as Jimmy Robbins, Shane McAnally, Natalie Hemby, Lori McKenna, Liam Howe, Eg White, Cam Blackwood, Ash Howes, Paul Mabury and Ian Archer. She’s performed with Andrew McMahon In The Wilderness, Needtobreathe, Andy Grammer, Ben Rector, and The Script as well as having written for artists such as Tom Grennan, Something Corporate, Harper Grace, and others. As an independent artist, she’s had four consecutive singles played on BBC Radio 2 and is currently releasing new music on all streaming platforms, all written and produced on her own. Layne is passionate about creating safe spaces on and offline for fellow creatives to be authentic and inspired

Ivory Layne, has an authentic sound and vibe that is breath of fresh air in today’s world. Part Time Jobs Near Me “, is an EP, that you owe it to your music loving heart to listen to pop

Avery Lynch, Shares Latest Gem, “Sweetheart”

We recently had the opportunity to check out the new single, “Sweetheart”, from Los Angeles, based singer-songwriter, Avery Lynch. You can listen to “Sweetheart “ Here

“Sweetheart”, is the final release ahead of her forthcoming EP, set to arrive this September.

Anchored by warm acoustic guitar and Avery’s soft, emotionally resonant vocals, Sweetheart” offers a bittersweet reflection on how toxic relationships can distort our understanding of love. Through layered harmonies and strikingly self-aware lyricism, Avery explores the difficulty of unlearning unhealthy patterns, and the vulnerability that comes with recognizing what real care should feel like.

Sweetheart’ reflects on the early days of my relationship and how quickly I realized that what I’d accepted in the past wasn’t love,” Avery shares. “I remember being surprisedand embarrassingly impressedby him asking me follow-up questions, walking me home, and genuinely wanting me around. It was eye-opening to be with someone who cared about me and wasn’t afraid to show it.”

She continues, “I wrote this one with my boyfriend Jordan and our close friend Neisha Grace. Producing the track with Jordan afterwards felt like a really full-circle moment.”

Originally from Pennsylvania, Avery’s musical journey began at the age of 7, composing piano pieces before evolving into songwriting. Now based in Los Angeles, her signature sound—lush, melancholic piano arrangements paired with her soft, expressive vocals—has become the foundation of her artistry. Every song begins with Avery alone at her piano, crafting intimate, emotionally rich demos that she later refines with her trusted collaborators.

Avery Lynch, once again proves with “Sweetheart” , that she is a voice that needs to be heard.

The Dogmatics Are Going Places Fast With Lively New Album, “Nowheresville”

First Album In 39 Years

We recently had the stellar opportunity to check out the album, “Nowheresville” , via Rum Bar Records, from Boston, garage legends, The Dogmatics. You can listen to “Nowheresville on Spotify Here, Apple Music Here

The Dogmatics, are a timeless energy that is vibrantly on display on the positively electrifying “Nowheresville”

The common thread that links the band from its ‘80s heyday to now is family. Music history is littered with collectives known loosely as family bands, but it can be argued there has never been a family band quite like The Dogmatics. The sentiment fueled their inaugural run 40 years ago, launching out of the vibrant Boston music scene in 1981, and is the creative conduit that energizes this awe-inspiring second act.

The best part of this new era is what it has always been – fun and friendship,” says co-vocalist and guitarist Jerry Lehane, joined in The Dogmatics by longtime confidants Peter O’Halloran (rhythm guitarist and vocalist); Jimmy O’Halloran (bass); and Tom Long (drums), with 2019 recruit James Young on mandolin, guitar, and assorted vocals.

Everything The Dogmatics do revolves around this keen sense of family pride, and the album reflects this on several fronts: Honoring fallen brother and bassist Paul O’Halloran, whose tragic 1986 death brought a sudden end to the first iteration of the group; presenting Nowheresville with artwork of a vintage photo snapped by Mary Lou O’Halloran depicting two kids from the Pacific Northwest, rocking perhaps the very first Dogmatics t-shirt design several decades ago; and taking its title from a song Lehane and Paul O’Halloran were working on just before he passed, enduring after only as a long-lost live recording on WERS’ classic Metrowave radio show and a few efforts to record it with later projects that never came to fruition.

Even the album’s record release party, a raucous one-day mini-festival at Waltham’s French American Victory Club on Saturday, July 26, serves as a communal collection of The Dogmatics’ extended network of friends and family. The inspired lineup, in addition to The Dogmatics, features Black Cheers, Jay Allen and the Archcriminals, Last Stand, Gypsy Moths, Tom Baker and the Double Down, Stop Calling Me Frank, and Band 19.

The 10 songs on the album show a lot of variety and breadth beyond the classic garage-rocking reputation,” says Young, who grew up listening to the band before officially joining for this second act. “As a new-ish member to the band who started as a fan, it’s great to see the feedback about the band making new music that’s relevant today, and not just being a reunion act. I’ve always had so much respect for the individual band members as musicians, it’s a pleasure and privilege to be part of demonstrating the flex of those skills.”

Nowheresville is more than just a straight garage rock record. The 10 tracks offer an eclectic spectrum of genres and styles. Recorded at Edsbarn in Canton, produced and engineered by Ed Riemer, and mastered by Dave Westner,

We found ourselves endlessly basking in the eclectic glow of “Nowheresville “ Tracks like “You’ve Got What I want, and Library Girl” give off a Ramones/ Descendents vibe. While , we felt a folk/country / rockabilly feel with “Con Job” .So many bands tend only have one gear – this is definitely not the case with The Dogmatics on “Nowheresville”

Every track on “Nowheresville” , from The Dogmatics, is better than the last . This is an album that is a must listen.

The first thing that caught our ears while listening to “Like Vultures “ is the next level musicianship of the band. Since meeting each other in college, Escape Durgin has been dedicated to being the best band they can be. Playing shows all over Massachusetts, tirelessly writing, rehearsing, and refining their original material. Quinton, Michael, Sean, and Avery are incredibly excited to have the fruits of their labor shared with the world with the release of their debut single “Like Vultures” with plenty more music soon to come.

The band shares : “Like Vultures is a song about introversion, feeling deeply isolated and overwhelmed at a party”

I was listening to a lot of Ween at the time, and this was my attempt to write Transdermal Celebration, but eventually the song took on a life of its own and bringing it to the band really made it unique to us.”, shares guitarist and vocalist, Quinton Gibbons

“Like Vultures”, was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Casey Dawson in The Record Co. and Casey’s home studio.

Escape Durgin, is a band who brings a welcoming and refreshing sound and vibe to a sometimes mundane musical landscape.

The mark of a great song is when it truly resonates within your soul . “Like Vultures” is without question a great song.

EMMA HARNER Shares Emotional Debut EP, “Taking My Side “

We were absolutely over the moon excited to finally check out the debut EP , “Taking My Side” , from rising singer-songwriter and guitarist Emma Harner. You can listen to “Taking My Side “ Here

Known for her distinctive sound that fuses the intimacy of folk with the complexity of math rock, Harner brings a rare mix of technical mastery and emotional honesty to everything she creates.

The 5-track EP—featuring previously released singles “False Alarm” and “Do It” alongside three new songs, “Yes Man,” “Lifetimes,” and “Again“—is a coming-of-age body of work shaped by emotional upheaval, self-examination, and quiet resilience.

“‘Taking My Side’ is a collection of songs from a time in my life when I was going through some big changes,” Harner shares. The title is a reference to the song ‘Yes Man,’ which is about a friendship gone awry. To me, ‘taking my side’ means putting myself first, not being such a pushover, and recognizing when someone is working against me. In many ways this record is a mantra for myself.”

On “Taking My Side “ , Emma Harner, shows without question that she is the complete package, showcasing her stunning guitar skills and her ability to craft memorable and meaningful songs .

“False Alarm” ( our personal favorite) captures the disorientation of homesickness, while “Do It” unpacks miscommunication and emotional fallout. “Lifetimes” floats through memory and existential doubt, and on “Yes Man,” she reckons with people-pleasing and the slow, steady act of reclaiming power. The closing track, “Again,” explores the quiet, repetitive ache of heartbreak and the difficulty of letting go.

Originally from Lincoln, Nebraska and now based in Boston, Harner has developed a distinctive sound that fuses the intimacy of folk with the complexity of math rock.

We Can’t Live Without New Indie Rock Gem, “Days Without “, From frown line

We recently had the amazing opportunity to check out the new single, via Lauren Records, “Days Without”, from Montreal’s-based indie rock quartet frown line. You can listen to the glorious new single, “Days Without” Here

First off, can we just say how much we love the new single, “Days Without”, from frown line“Days Without “, is one of those songs that grabs you from the opening chord and doesn’t let you go until the last chord has faded.

Written at the height of personal turmoil, “Days Without” channels jagged ’90s alt-rock guitars into a wall of cathartic noise, then anchors it with Annika Devlin’s clear-eyed vocals and a racing rhythm section. “It captures a chaotic stretch of my life that I could only survive thanks to my best friend,” Devlin explains. “Even in its heaviest moments, the song is really a thank-you.”

“Day Without” follows frown line’s studio debut single “Anyway” released last spring. What began as Annika’s 2020 bedroom 4-track demos has grown into a full-bodied Montreal foursome: Devlin (guitar/vocals),Juan Jimenez (bass), Owen Viragos(guitar), and Lucy Grant (drums). Their sound stitches jangly hooks to squalling feedback, pairing Devlin’s deceptively upbeat melodies with lyrics that sit “secretly sad” beneath the surface.

frown line , brilliantly weaves a relatable truth in “Day Without “ that stays with the listener long after the music has faded .

Kier Byrnes & The Kettle Burners Continue To Impress With Sensational New EP, “Dances By Firelight”

We recently had the delightful opportunity, to check out the stunning new EP, “Dances By Firelight, from high-octane Boston-based Americana band, Kier Byrnes & The Kettle Burners. You can listen to “Dances By Firelight “ on Spotify Here , Apple Music Here Kier Byrnes & The Kettle Burners, have a boundless energy that is in full view on “Dances By Firelight” .

Photo Credit: Courtesy of the band

Earlier this spring, the Boston-based Americana band and its face-melting accordion and chicken pickin’ electric guitar stylings released a new EP in April’s Before The Fall, coming fresh off a sprint of seven live shows in five days, culminating with a wild 10-hour marathon set on St. Patrick’s Day.

Now, the sextet is set to release an immediate follow-up in Dances With Firelight, a spirited EP that arrives today, (Friday, June 27) – just ahead of the release show at the 14-band New England Americana Festival the next day at Bellforge Arts Center, where Kier Byrnes & The Kettle Burners headline. Right after that, the band sets off on a whirlwind tour of The Netherlands and Belgium from July 3 to 13, playing 14 shows in 14 days.

A constant stream of live shows and this barrage of new releases – including March’s In The Key of Guinness EP of traditional Irish music – are all part of the Kettle Burners’ ethos, the type of band that one listens to all day at home or at work before going raising a glass with the band at one of their raucous live shows at night (or heck, even at a matinée).

If we didn’t think it was going to be fun, we wouldn’t be doing it,” Byrnes says with a laugh. “The best moments are when we connect with a crowd. When we play a show, nothing invigorates us more than when our music connects with someone.”

The opening track, “Little Bit More, Little Bit Less” , is the perfect opening track, had us on our feet almost immediately.

The hypnotic groove of ,”Don’t Let Perfect “ is absolutely otherworldly and shows off the next level musicianship of the band .

We enjoyed“Further Down the Road,” and its scratchy guitarwork adding to the intensity and intrigue, takes the band into the world of chain gangs, marriage, the church, truckers – and what Byrnes calls “all of life’s little mysteries, I guess… we never really know when the road will end, or how it ends.” That track, along with “Little Bit More, Little Bit Less,” feature gang vocals by Joe Pleiman, Pete Nersesian, Shane O’Neill, and Elisa Smith

The EP closes out with a pair of inspired covers, a hymnal-like rendition of Sturgill Simpson’s “Turtles All the Way Down” that glows with a weathered bravado; and a riveting romp through Billy Strings’ “Dust in a Baggie,” which sonically connects the EP back to opener “Little But More, Little Bit Less,” creating an infinite loop where the record plays on repeat with a natural flow.

There is a one of a kind joy and wonderment that absolutely shines on “Dances By Firelight” from Kier Byrnes & The Kettle Burners that is special and truly inspiring.

The Dogmatics Have Exactly What We Need With New Single, “You’ve Got What I Want”

We recently had the stellar opportunity to check out the new single, via Rum Bar Records, “You’ve Got What I Want”, from Legendary Boston garage rock band, The Dogmatics. You can listen to “You’ve Got What I Want” on Spotify Here, Apple Music Here and on Bandcamp Here

Brimming with classic Dogmatics punkabilly and surf n’ skate energy at an economical 95 seconds in length, “You’ve Got What I Want” is the final single before the band unleashes its first new full-length album in nearly four decades, arriving on Friday, July 18.

“You’ve Got What I Want “ is a melodic and sonic dream. Nobody brings it like The Dogmatics…. NOBODY! We were dancing and singing along instantly.

The Dogmatics, and their new single, “You’ve Got What I Want” represent a feeling and a sound that feels like a celebration that is a reserved for your birthday and the Fourth of July. It just feels right

A raucous record release party at Waltham’s French American Victory Club follows the release on the next weekend on Saturday, July 26, and the lineup is pretty much its own one-off music festival. Joining The Dogmatics from afternoon to evening are a host of friends and family, rounding up the definable sound of Boston across several decades: Black Cheers, Jay Allen and the Archcriminals, Last Stand, Gypsy Moths, Tom Baker and the Double Down, Stop Calling Me Frank, and Band 19.

Recorded at Edsbarn in Canton, Massachusetts, and produced and engineered by Ed Riemer with mastering by Dave Westner, “You’ve Got What I Want” is a link to The Dogmatics’ past that also allows them to embrace the future. After reforming in 2019, the band has gigged regularly around New England, releasing a series of well-received singles and a 2022 EP for Rum Bar in Drop The Needle. Uninterested in being purely a throwback or nostalgia band, the newly-released Dogmatics material sounds like it came from a new band emerging out of an Allston basement or Somerville loft.

We are all in on “You’ve Got What I Want” from The Dogmatics, and know you will be too!

The Peppermint Kicks, Offer Up A Minty Fresh Smash Hit, With Latest Single, “Radio Wam Bam Boom”

We recently had the otherworldly experience to check out the new single, “Radio Wam Bam Boom” , from The Peppermint Kicks . You can listen to “Radio Wam Bam Boom “ Here . It’s a vibe and a sound that you simply can’t ignore.

From those hazy early days of scanning through the AM and FM stations to punching buttons on our phones to fire up a digital stream via the other side of the world, the ethos of rock and roll radio has stayed the course. The Peppermint Kicks are now sending out their own signal with “Radio Wam Bam Boom,” a dynamite new single featuring The Underground Garage’s Palmyra Delran as the voice of radio, set for release today, (Friday, June 13 ) on Rum Bar Records

We are beyond excited for “Radio Wam Bam Boom” from The Peppermint Kicks. It’s the first new music from the collaborative project of Sal Baglio (The Amplifier Heads, The Stompers) and Dan Kopko (The Shang Hi Los, Watts) since their self-titled 2021 debut album and a one-off Christmas single that arrived later that year. And it sets a restless tone for the Kicks’ sophomore album, Pop Rocks In My Chewing Gum, ready to be unleashed this summer.

With the adrenalized “Radio Wam Bam Boom” and its grandiose momentum, retro-rock swagger, and effortless cool, The Peppermint Kicks are callin’ America, callin’ radio London Town, and callin’ all cars — with a fiery request to turn up the radio. The upbeat and muscular garage rock track emerges from the speakers with a timeless punch, and is sure to shake up the scene this summer.

“‘Radio Wam Bam Boom’ is a big loud bite,” says Baglio. “It’s an eardrum of rock candy about radio past and present, transistor, satellite, vinyl records revolving, guitar licks dissolving, disc jockeys spinnin’ & rock n roll dreamin’.

And there was no better person to extend an invite to than Delran, who as an essential voice of Little Steven’s Underground Garage on SiriusXM has helped countless bands, from Boston and beyond, reach global audiences. Her show, Palmyra’s Trash-Pop Shindig, as well as Bill Kelly’s Blackhole Bandstand, The Rodney Bingenheimer Show, The Mighty Manfred, Michael Des Barres and all the inspired 24/7 programming on the station, has been helping carry the torch for rock and roll radio.

The electrifying energy on “Radio Wam Bam Boom” from The Peppermint Kicks, is enough to send a signal into the stratosphere and beyond.

Our music loving heart are beyond full thanks to the rock and roll magic from The Peppermint Kicks

So run don’t walk , to your favorite music listening device and crank – “Radio Wam Bam Boom” , from The Peppermint Kicks .

We Are All In On The Magnificent New Single, “Laurel”, From The Far Out

We had the absolutely amazing opportunity, to check out the new single, “Laurel”, from Boston , based high-energy funk and soul-pop group , The Far Out. You can listen to “Laurel” Here

The Far Out, are one of those bands, that make us want scream “We Love Music! “Laurel” is a funky, soulful track that we fall deeper and deeper in love with every time we hear it.

The Far Out’s vibrant new retro-soul single “Laurel,” is the latest slice of high-energy funk-pop from the rising Boston sextet that hits the streams today, (Friday, May 30) . “Laurel” is the follow-up to February’s supercharged single “Funkadelic Gas,” and both infectious tracks will be featured on the “New Act of the Year” recipient at the 2024 New England Music Awards’ forthcoming debut album, set for release this summer.

Laurel,” with its Yacht Rock cool, charismatic swagger, and alluring sax n’ brass sass, also throws it back to the golden era of ‘70s songwriting with clever lyrical wordplay and charming innuendo, juxtaposing the music’s optimistic and upbeat nature with a heartbreak situation just bubbling under the surface.

Laurel’ is deceptively not a love song,” says lead vocalist Olivia Lowe. “It’s about continuing to see someone romantically despite knowing that it’s going nowhere, because they will never commit to being fully or exclusively with you. The chorus ‘rest on my Laurel’ is a play on words, where it’s just easier to stay with this person rather than make the effort to leave them.”

Lowe paints an unfulfilled picture in the lyrics that is deliberately opposed to the overall vibe of the song, which feels like the perfect summer bop to add to all our beach-going and care-free day playlists. But that’s also the point – something that feels sunny and warm on the surface may not be what it seems after a deeper dive into what’s really going on.

“I hope that when people hear it, they dance,” Lowe adds. “But I hope that when they listen more closely to the lyrics, they understand that it’s okay to get out once something stops being fun or isn’t right for them anymore. I was able to easily write this happy-sounding, confident song because I’m firmly on the other side of the exact situation it describes.”

And for Lowe, band life in The Far Out is a happy relationship as well – and that comes out in the effortless cool and creative chemistry displayed by the collective of close friends and multi-instrumentalists, rounded out on “Laurel” by core members Ellie Dolan (trumpet, backing vocals); Ryan Fremont-Smith (bass guitar, backing vocals); Drew Phillips (drums); Colin Senechal (tenor saxophone); and Henry Zagarella (keys, organ, backing vocals).

“Laurel” is a great balance of the sounds of the past mixed with a vibrant energy that points to the future.

Penned by Lowe, Zagarella, and Phillips, “Laurel” flexes what The Far Out does best – it cranks up the energy and creates its own mood through sheer infectiousness and positive vibes. “Laurel” was recorded with Fremont-Smith as engineer at FS Studios, with drums and mixing engineered by Sean McLaughlin at 37′ Productions. The track was mastered by Jeff Lipton at Peerless Mastering with assistant mastering by engineer Costanza Tini

“Laurel “ , from The Far Out, is a track that your ears must hear.

“Handle With Care” , From The Ghouls Is So Freaking Good…. It’s Scary!

Music should be fun , music should move you . Lowell, Massachusetts, band The Ghouls, achieve this and so much more on their epically explosive debut album, “Handle With Care” You can listen to “ Handle With Care” Here

As soon as we heard the opening track, “Pocket Of Gold from The Ghouls, our first immediate thought was “Good Lord ! , Where Has this band been our whole life?”

“Handle With Care” is the Fourth of July, and Christmas, rolled into 9 explosive gems.

2024, was a hell of a ride for The Ghouls,

In May, the young Lowell band won the esteemed Rock and Roll Rumble, the decades-old institution known as the “World Series of Boston Rock,” and come December scored Rock Artist of the Year at the Boston Music Awards, where they were also invited to perform live and nominated in the New Artist category. But this new album is no simple encore, nor a fight to live up to lofty, already-cast expectations.

It feels like The Ghouls, are just getting warmed up. “Handle With Care” is out today ( May 30th ) A week later, on June 6, they celebrate the record, the past year, and all the excesses along the way with the official release party at The Middle East in Cambridge

“Handle With Care”, has the band, ( vocalist and guitarist George Danahy, guitarist Peter Trainor; bassist Jacob Babcock; and drummer Bryce Maher, who all recently met as students at the University of Massachusetts Lowell – firing effortlessly on all cylinders.

I hope this record is universal for the listener,” Danahy admits. “I hope it is an album they choose to listen to while working out, while driving, on amazing days, and on awful days. Handle With Care reflects how young our band is in the grand scheme of things, in a positive way. There are many wildly different sounding tracks on this record, yet all of them still sound like they come from us. It all still feels cohesive.”

“Garfield” , “Hellbound” and “Reach For The Sky” ( the guitar work on “Reach For The Sky” is absolutely mind freaking blowing) were some of the stunningly crafted gems on “Handle With Care” . If we had to pick a favorite from “ Handle With Care” , it would most certainly be… “For You” We loved the drop dead perfect vocals and haunting melody that stayed with us long after the music ended.

Part of the spoils of winning the Rumble is the competition’s vaulted “prize booty,” a collection of assets that include studio time, photo shoots, radio and media publicity campaigns, and other stuff a band would kill to acquire. Nearly all the prizes afforded The Ghouls helped to shape and create Handle With Care. The band hit several studios around the region – New Alliance Audio in Somerville; 37’ Productions in Rockland; Henley Row in Stoneham; and Rare Signals and Q Division in Cambridge – all while working with esteemed producers and engineers like Ethan Dussault, Sean McLaughlin, Dan Nicklin, Brian Charles, Craig Small, and Colin Lester Fleming

Love is music , music is love….. we Freaking LOVE – “Handle With Care” from The Ghouls and we know you will too.

We Highly Recommend Expanding Your Musical Palette By Checking Out The Sparkling New Single, “Choices” , From Jon Chesbro

We feel like we hit the music listening lottery, as we had the amazing opportunity to check out the new single, “Choices”, from Maine songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer, Jon Chesbro. You can listen to “Choices” Here

In our opinion, Jon Chesbro, is one of the brightest rising artists in music today . Jon Chesbro, has a style and artistry that is all his own and it shines brilliantly on his latest masterpiece, “Choices

Photo Credit: PostFix Media / Zach Haberern

The new single, a celestial slice of star-gazing alt-rock and psych-pop called “Choices”, hits the streams today, (Friday, May 30) While this new track is the start of a new era for Chesbro, with new singles to follow and a new album arriving later this year, it’s firmly rooted in the path that led him to this moment.

“‘Choices’ is about looking back at what you’ve done, good or bad, and realizing what kind of person it made you,” Chesbro says. “It’s about realizing you’ve grown from those choices and are now a different person altogether. It’s a very self-reflective song, but its theme is universal and I think a lot of people will resonate with it.”

“Choices” has a little bit of a Beatles vibe , mixed in with a pinch of Elliott Smith. However, it is the one of a kind style and sound of Jon Chesbro, that makes “Choices” an absolutely beautiful musical composition.

A slow burn over three short minutes, “Choices” unfurls with reserved confidence and an innocent grandeur, hitting cruising altitude about three-quarters in, where it glides freely through space-rock and even some loose prog territories. It’s the sound of looking up at the night sky and seeing your life played back at you in the stars.

I feel like ‘Choices’ has a perfect combination of etherealness and experimental acoustic rock that the album is going to have,” he admits. “I thought even though this isn’t the most single-friendly, it does capture the entirety of the project very well. Also I’m just impressed with myself when it comes to the songwriting with this song, as well as the production. It took a long time and I wanted to show what I was most proud of first.”

Joining Chesbro on “Choices” and supplementing his vocals and guitar work are Robert Countie on bass; Akiba Davis on keyboards and organ; and Don Schweihofer on drums. The track was mixed and mastered by Erik von Geldern and recorded by Todd Harris, with production, recording, mixing, and mastering at Berlin Sound Studios in Berlin, Massachusetts.

On “Choices”, Jon Chesbro, feels like an artist who is getting ready to soar . We can’t wait to see what happens next.

Sydney Jo Jackson Weaves An Authentic Truth With New Single, “Stone Cold”

We recently had the distinct honor to check out the new single, “Stone Cold”, from London-born, Bali-based soul artist Sydney Jo Jackson. You can listen to “Stone Cold”, on Spotify Here, Apple Music, Here

It is nearly impossible, not to be completely mesmerized by Sydney Jo Jackson, and her absolutely stunning vocal ability. “Stone Cold”, is Sydney Jo Jackson, at her absolute best.

Photographer: Bryan Michael Ham

“Stone Cold.” A deeply personal ballad born from pain, self-reflection, and ultimately, healing, “Stone Cold” marks a pivotal moment in Jackson’s journey — both musically and emotionally.

Written in her bedroom in Bali, the song emerged in a late-night haze, the melody coming to life while she was, in her own words, “drunk and overwhelmed with feelings I had buried for years.” Originally laced with expletives, the track evolved into something more nuanced — a powerful, articulate reckoning with the past.

Stone Cold is about the marriage I had to walk away from — one where I experienced domestic abuse and completely lost myself trying to save someone who didn’t want to be saved,” Jackson shares. “It’s been five years since my divorce, and this is the first time I’ve truly unpacked what happened. Music gave me the space to confront the trauma head-on.”

The single explores the heartbreaking truth that love alone isn’t always enough — especially when only one person is fighting to keep the relationship alive. “No matter how much I wanted it to work, it was never meant to be,” she says. “This song helped me understand why I allowed someone to treat me that way — and why I’ll never allow it again.”

With her signature husky, soulful vocals and unflinching honesty, Sydney Jo Jackson delivers a song that will resonate with anyone who’s had to choose themselves over a love that hurt them. “Stone Cold” is more than a breakup song — it’s an anthem of survival.

“Stone Cold”, from Sydney Jo Jackson, is a powerful and important song that needs to be heard.

She continues to explore the themes of control and isolation. The Los Angeles based artist describes her songs as being about the “Outsider experience” something clearly expressed in both her lyrics and the sonic palate of her catalogue.

“Heaven&Hell, captures both sonic power and emotional depth. MADDIE REGENT REVEALS RADIANTLY BEAUTIFUL DEBUT ALBUM, “ON THE PHONE WITH MY MOM”

Artwork: Ashley Adams

There has to be a bigger, better word for excited, because how we feel about the debut album, “On The Phone With My Mom”, from Indie-pop luminary Maddie Regent, is definitely more than excited. You can listen to “On The Phone With My Mom” on Spotify Here, Apple Music Here

Crafted in collaboration with her creative partner and significant other, producer and songwriter Cade Hoppe in their Brooklyn home studio, the album is her most fearless and fully realized work to date. Seamlessly blending shimmering pop melodies with razor-sharp introspection, On the phone with my mom captures Maddie at her most raw, radiant, and self-assured.

The 14 track album features previously released singles—“Sleeptalking,” “Turtleneck,” “Miss Virgo,”The other shoe,” “The wolf,” and “You could break my heart”—alongside seven brand-new songs that reveal her most adventurous and vulnerable songwriting yet. With sharp lyricism and undeniable hooks, the album dives into the messiness of human emotion, striking a delicate balance between nostalgia and newfound clarity.

“On The Phone With My Mom”, feels like an important musical moment, where Maddie Regent, shows the world the magic, and the beauty of her one of a kind artistry.

At its core, On the phone with my mom is a meditation on the paradox of femininity. “The album explores the idea that girlhood feels inescapable, womanhood seems unattainable, and yet, somehow, transitioning from one to the other feels essential for survival. They either exist as entirely separate entities or blur into one indistinguishable experience,” Maddie shares.

If we had to pick a favorite track, ( which is almost impossible to do) we would absolutely pick, “You Could Break My Heart “ it is Maddie, at her absolute best .

Originally from Toronto and now based in New York City, Maddie discovered her passion for songwriting at just 12 years old, using music as a tool to navigate her anxieties and give voice to her innermost thoughts. She grew up inspired by the individuality and unfiltered honesty of artists like Nelly Furtado, Lana Del Rey, and Avril Lavigne, laying the foundation for her own distinctive sound. Since her 2021 debut, Maddie has released two EPs, MISS REGENT and Girl of Your Dreams, and has earned recognition from tastemakers like Atwood Magazine and EARMILK.

“On The Phone With My Mom “, from the divine, Maddie Regent, is a debut album, you can’t afford to miss.

How to Sing for Money,” is an anthemic new single that’s as fun and energetic as it is raw, authentic, and emotionally honest. With this release, Maggie doubles down on her signature blend of bold hooks, tongue-in-cheek lyricism, and innovative production, once again proving her ability to push the limits of pop music

On “How to Sing for Money,” Maggie Andrew pulls back the curtain on the emotional toll behind the spectacle of stardom. Over a pounding beat and soaring ‘80s-inspired guitar riffs, her syrupy pop melodies dance atop razor-sharp commentary about the music industry’s commodification of pain. But there’s also another layer of ache: a closer look at the lyrics reveals that Maggie is offering to teach the person who broke her heart—the same heartbreak she’s turning into pop songs!—how to cash in, too. And so, the 15-minutes-of-fame cycle begins anew. “How to Sing for Money” is as ironic as it is irresistible—calling out the absurdity of turning heartbreak into hits, and then doing exactly that with style to spare.

It’s kind of funny how being an artist is mostly just singing about your misfortunes in life and people relating to them,” Maggie shares. “This song is written from the perspective of speaking to someone who did you dirty, and now they’re crawling back to you because you’re famous and make cool songs. So, you go ahead and teach them how to do it too.”

Hailing from Nova Scotia, Maggie Andrew brings a creative and rebellious spirit to everything she does. Her musical journey began with a dream and a leap of faith. After sending her first song to her brother, artist and Olympic snowboarder Trevor Andrew, she was encouraged to fly to L.A. to turn her dream into something real. From there, she dove headfirst into the scene, collaborating with industry trailblazers like blackbear, Ash Riser (Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul), Doc McKinney (The Weeknd, Drake), and Yeti Beats (Doja Cat, SZA).

With over 6 million streams and glowing praise from Rolling StoneBillboard, and Alternative Press, Maggie has quickly become a standout voice in the alt-pop space. Over the past year, she won CBC Music’s Searchlight, headlined major stages at SOMMO Festival and the JUNO Block Party, performed at The Great Escape and BreakOut West, and received multiple awards, including back-to-back ECMA awards for African Canadian Artist of the Year (2024 and 2025), as well as Rock/Alternative Release of the Year in 2025.

Temporary Circus:Act 1 From Derek Smith and tphe Cosmic Vultures Is Positively Magnificent.

Design By Derek Smith

We recently had the spectacular opportunity, to check out the new EP, “Temporary Circus: Act 1”, from Boston, singer-songwriter Derek Smith and the Cosmic Vultures.

You can listen to, “Temporary Circus:Act 1” on Spotify Here, Apple Music Here And on Bandcamp Here

The latest EP, from Derek Smith and the Vultures, “Temporary Circus: Act 1 , is a joyous musical treasure trove of brilliantly crafted musical compositions.

Derek Smith and the Cosmic Vultures’ new EP, Temporary Circus: Act 1, is a five-track collection from the prolific Boston singer-songwriter that hits the streams today, ( Friday, May 16. ) This new record arrives about a half-year from the band’s recent album Opus, and marks the start of a new creative chapter with additional acts to quickly follow.

Sonically, this is an acoustic album to me,” Smith says. “I didn’t use a full drum kit here. It feels different than Opus and that was my intention. I have people asking me why I didn’t make a direct sequel to Opus and it’s because I already did it. It’s time for a new sound.”

Where Opus was a majestic declaration of excess and grandeur, coming off more like a greatest hits compilation in its sweeping production and ambitious drive, Temporary Circus: Act 1 is something far more personal, more raw, and more organic. Intact is Smith’s penchant for melody, and the alarming ease with which he steers his sound through familiar corridors of alternative, pop-rock, indie-folk, psych, Yacht Rock, AM ‘70s gold, funk, and whatever else escapes from his creative mental asylum. The many different stylistic offerings make the EP, a melodic delight. Smith’s sound has always been jovial on the surface, with something a little darker glowing underneath.

Throughout Temporary Circus: Act 1, there is a growing unease and overwhelming sense of malaise that permeates through the five songs, and drawn together serve as a bit of a warning about what the future may hold, with carnival-like interludes and faux news reports acting as segues, similar to how we doom scroll from one app to the next to feed our serotonin needs: “Question everything. Do your research. Whatever hardship you’re going through… it’ll pass. And to hell with toxic people.”

Derek Smith and the Cosmic Vultures have crafted an EP, that flows freely in many melodic directions, while also artfully articulating the state of world . Because, it’s also a proper Derek Smith and the Cosmic Vultures album, so beneath the layers of social awareness, messages both subliminal and obvious, and lyrical wordplay wisdom, is another sparkling and celestial record that glows with Smith’s vivid storytelling acumen. He’s now officially released 73 songs since 2017, both with the Cosmic Vultures and as a solo artist, and the creative tank shows no signs of emptying.

The EP opener and title track immediately set the lyrical theme, a daydream-like composition with a propulsive thump and twinkling demeanor where a certain type of circus comes to town to whisk us away in our own cerebral slumbers. The yearning, campfire glide “Strange Life” explores feelings of self-discovery and our shared end-goal of being comfortable with who we are, despite greater forces influencing us otherwise.

Smith leans into political lanes on the poignant and straight-forward “The Puppets of Hypocrisy,” fueled by a sonic buoyancy and pub sing-along mood while hidden meanings lurk behind the lyrical phrases. The atmospheric and star-gazing “Some Girls” (Our favorite track on the EP) finds a central comfort in the strength and poise of women, with Smith casting admiration for what they provide the world and how much they deal with and are forced to endure.

And EP closer “Indie Darling” was inspired by a dream Smith had walking through Salem, Massachusetts, waking up feeling so connected to the city and feeling free from the circus that had previously dogged his mental state.

My music is a universe that I created,” Smith concludes. “If someone connects to my music, that is wonderful. But they need to use the info wisely. Use the info to help you put together whatever your opinion is. Bottom line: A famous musical artist (or hell, a local one) spreading their message is fine. But it’s NOT the end all be all. Form your own opinions. I think it’s important that everyone has a platform to express their opinion on the world… but people get obsessed with artists and then they become idols. Just be careful with that stuff. It could be your next Temporary Circus.”

We were absolutely captivated by “Temporary Circus: Act 1 “ from Derek Smith and the Cosmic Vultures, it is a must listen.

All You Need Is “Benergy”, Ben Basile, Releases Epic Debut Solo EP

We are absolutely beyond thrilled to finally check out in it’s entirety, the phenomenal debut solo album, “Benergy”, from Big D and the Kids Table Bassist Ben Basile, via , Sleepwalk Sounds. You can listen to “Benergy” Here

Ben Basile, (pronounced  “ba-sill-ee”)has crafted a vibrant, melodic work of art with “Benergy” , that is a must listen for anyone who calls themselves music lovers.

We were absolutely captivated by the three singles that were released before the album, ( “Mountain Road,”74 Leonard Street” and “Cacao Knibb”)

Benergy’, the album’s title, originated from a lighthearted moment with one of Basile’s bass students. “When I play ska punk, like with Big D and The Kids Table, it’s all about playing on top, playing with momentum and energy. Pushing the music the entire time,” Basile explains. His student’s response? “Benergy?”—a phrase that stuck and ultimately became the album’s name.

Ben Basile is a Hudson Valley-born musician who grew up in Wappingers Falls and now lives in Rosendale, NY.

His passion for music ignited in his youth, sparked by a stack of ska and punk rock CDs from his sister.

A graduate of Dutchess Community College and SUNY New Paltz, Basile studied jazz and business before launching a career that’s taken him across six continents with legendary acts like Pilfers, New York Ska-Jazz Ensemble, and Big D and the Kids Table — all while staying deeply rooted in the Hudson Valley music scene.

The new album, ‘Benergy’, is a culmination of Basile’s years of musical exploration and passion, featuring a stellar lineup of musicians from the ska and jazz worlds. Recorded at multiple studios across the East Coast and mastered by Tom Rosato of Zena Mastering,

Every song on the album is brimming with “Benergy”

Some of our favorite tracks on “Benergy” are “Dub 215”, “87 to 90” and “Hot Drop” However, our favorite track on the album, is “Whataboutism” We are completely smitten with track . Ben Basile , has created a brilliant and memorable groove that is absolutely top notch. ( We freaking love it )

the charge is the blistering first single, “Death Tax,” now streaming everywhere. The companion video for “Death Tax “ is above and it kicks some serious ass.

Vocalist Joey Dahlstrom says, “We did all of the Death Tax video — except for the time lapse — in one day last December with our pal Charlie Jordan, who shot it and put it together for us. We wanted to reflect our surroundings in Brooklyn and the themes of grime, erosion, and decay.”

Of the single, Dahlstrom: says, Death Tax comes from thinking about entropy and decay. Nature can be cruel, violent, and indifferent — the suffering seems pointless — but accepting and understanding the terms of our existence comes with a certain viriditas, an empowering vitality to approach it head-on.”

Guitarist Kirk McGirk adds, This one made it into our live sets pretty quickly – people would respond to it pretty well, and we like when we do something that makes people move.”

Cash Bribe, have an absolutely breathtaking, one of kind sound that is both sonically and melodically perfect. We were stopped dead in our tracks when we heard “Death Tax” If you’re not aware of Cash Bribe, now is definitely the time to start.

Hearing a great freaking song, is like when you hear a ball hit with a bat a certain way … you just know it’s a hit…. “Death Tax” is a hit

Ben Basile Debuts Third Single (“Cacao Knibb”) Off Upcoming Solo LP ‘Benergy’ Out May 2nd

East Coast Shows Announced , See Beliw

We recently had the outstanding opportunity to check out the new single, “CACO KNIBB”, via Sleep Walk Sounds , from Rosendale, NY. based Ben Basile (pronounced  “ba-sill-ee”) Ben, is best known for his work with Big D and the Kids Table. “Cacao Knibb” the third track from his debut solo album, ‘Benergy’, set to drop May 2nd via Sleep Walk Sounds

You can listen to “CACO KNIBB” Here

The vibrant and electrifying sounds of “CACO KNIBB” , from Ben Basile, are like nothing we have ever heard before …. Such sweet , sweet sounds .

Ben says, “”Cacao Knibb” has been in development for a long time and took years to find its final form which appears on the album. The title is a play on words with two of my favorite things: Ska music and Dark Chocolate. Cacao Nib being a piece of a dried cacao bean and Lloyd Knibb was the original drummer with The Skatalites who pretty much created the whole style! I always love when ska is blended with latin rhythms, so that was also a part of the inspiration for this piece. “Cacao Knibb” feature’s the album’s co-producer Jon Degen on saxophone, as well as a piano solo by my longtime friend Sean Morrison.”

‘Benergy’, the album’s title, originated from a lighthearted moment with one of Basile’s bass students. “When I play ska punk, like with Big D and The Kids Table, it’s all about playing on top, playing with momentum and energy. Pushing the music the entire time,” Basile explains. His student’s response? “Benergy?”—a phrase that stuck and ultimately became the album’s name.

We Are Completely Hooked On The Debut Album, “New Thing” From Avery Friedman

We were absolutely elated beyond belief, to finally get to check out the stunning debut album , “New Thing”, via Audio Antihero from Brooklyn, based singer-songwriter, Avery Friedman . ( Spoiler Alert…. it is a musical triumph beyond words.)

You can listen to “New Thing” Here

We have been feeling the build up to the highly anticipated release of “New Thing”, every time we got a new single from Avery Friedman,( “Flowers Fell”, “Photo Booth” and “New Thing “( The title track is so divine) we got a little more excited for the debut LP.

Produced by James Chrisman (SISTER. / CIAO MALZ) and featuring Felix Walworth(FLORIST / TOLD SLANT), New Thing’ is a sonically deep and layered album that sees Friedman explore her trauma, resiliency, and sexuality with a raw open-heartedness inspired by by artists like Adrianne LenkerSquirrel Flower, and Babehoven

Right from the introduction track, we were completely smitten.

Every song on “New Thing“, from Avery Friedman, is a well crafted melodic experience that highlights the musical brilliance of a musician (Avery Friedman) who is a rising voice that needs to be heard .

Avery, shares: New Thing is a conduit for emotions too frenetic to hold on your own. This record is a collection of the first songs I’ve ever written, after many years of orbiting the music world, but denying myself my own musicianship. Many of these tracks were born of anxiety – from my turning to a guitar to externalize (and organize) a sense of chaos that otherwise felt trapped inside me. We recorded a bulk of it with a live band, as a means to maintain the raw energy at the center of the record. What results is a time capsule for a year of intense personal expansion in my life – and the layers of warmth, wonder, sensitivity and sharpness that come with growing.”

Stunning Melodies with thought provoking lyrics were found in every song on “New Thing”

We found ourselves captivated with “Biking Standing” , the song has a beautifully unique sound that we found to be timeless and heartfelt.

In our opinion the shining star of the LP, is “Nervous” Avery artfully molds both ambient sounds and melodies combined with thoughtful lyrics, to create an absolute work of art.

The album release show will take place on May 15th at Union Pool in Brooklyn, NY with support from Dolly and After Ours(Tickets/Info).

For an album that stirs the soul and moves the heart , you need to get lost in the beautiful new album, “New Thing”, from Avery Friedman.

TELL, Is Making Waves With “Boiling The Ocean “

Designed by J. Kaliontzis

We recently got check out the brand new video for “Boiling The Ocean”,from Boston alt-rock band, TELL. You can watch the Rick Berlin directed video below.

Boston alt-rock band, TELL, artfully addresses the over-crowded internet landscape, the way we communicate, and how those things shape both what we consume and what we exude, through a rumbling new single titled “Boiling The Ocean.” ( and we love every minute of it.)

The follow-up to March’s fiery and anthemic “Sweet Proximity,” this slow-burner companion track with a heavy low-end and atmospheric snarl first arrives via a Rick Berlin, brilliantly directed music video today, (Tuesday, April 15,) before the streaming release that following Friday. The band are eager to perform the song live – and in-person – when they play The Square Root in Roslindale on May 9, and then Allston’s O’Brien’s Pub alongside Joe Kaplow on June 8.

This is my ‘fuck the internet’ song, expressing frustration how as creative artists we all have no choice but to use this same medium to get our music out,” says outspoken TELL guitarist and vocalist David Wildman. “In that sense it is kind of a ghetto that is impossible to escape. We’re all on our own trying to figure it out. And while there no longer are record companies exploiting us, there is also no way to make any money because streaming sites like Spotify have pretty much demonetized everything, and the labels that do exist push crap at the highest level. So yeah, we’re saying blow the whole thing up.

It is crystal clear that TELL, isn’t afraid to tell it like it is , and this definitely the case with “Boiling The Ocean “

The title, “Boiling the Ocean,” is lifted from the business world, a phrase that urges a person, team, or company to do whatever is necessary to get a result, even if the task seems impossible. So as Wildman – joined in TELL by guitarist Jim Foster; bassist Jay Raffi; and drummer Patrick Crann – decries our current conundrum where the internet is paradoxically facilitating and standing in the way of communicating the quartet’s music, he suggests it’s high time, to borrow a common post-punk rallying cry, to just rip it up and start again.

It’s all about the frustrations of connecting in this present environment, because in order to do it, you have to bend yourself to fit the medium,” Wildman adds. “I suppose this goes back to the early days where pop songs had to be 3:30 minutes tops because that’s all you could fit on a 45. Now the conditions that form the music are much more complex and on multiple levels, but no less restrictive in their way. Of course no one gives a shit about any of that, and we just want to make a video that catches people’s attention with cool images.”

Enter Berlin for that, who agreed with the band on a concept that showed TELL performing live, but with the ocean projected over them, inspired by early Andy Warhol shows with The Velvet Underground. The symbolic gesture enhances not only the visual but the lyrical matter; an all-encompassing body of water can either drown a person or lift a person up, and in the video, TELL, dressed in all-whites as a cohesive unit, deliver “Boiling The Ocean” as found-footage scenes flash across their bodies and faces, the blue glow of the ocean both suffocating and illuminating. Just like the internet itself.

Boiling The Ocean,” the track, was produced and mixed by Benny Grotto at Mad Oak Studios in Allston, Massachusetts, who also lent his studio work to “Sweet Proximity.” True to the songs’ sharing their companion nature, as both mark the first new TELL music since last year’s breakout EP Life In Reverse, the single artwork is the same as that of “Sweet Proximity,” featuring an illustration by Morrison Digital Art and design by J. Kaliontzis.  The band is taking a classic double A-side approach, another way to angle their art for the modern digital promo landscape.

We love the beautiful art/musical entanglement that races throughout “Boiling The Ocean “ TELL has truly given the world a wonderful artistic gift.

EMPIRED Prove They Are Here To Stay With New Single, “Just A Phase”

We recently had the extraordinary opportunity to check out the new single, “Just A Phase” , via HEY!FEVER Records, from LA punks, EMPIRED . You can listen to “Just A Phase” Here

Ever since we heard “Money”, from EMPIRED, we been absolutely fascinated with the band. Now with their latest single, “Just A Phase” our fascination continues.

Recorded and mixed by EMPIRED guitarist Cam Mosavian and mastered by the legendary Paul Miner, the single will appear on the band’s upcoming release.

“A hard hitting song with soulful verses and big choruses, Just A Phase explores the end of a relationship. Is it for the better? Are we truly better off? Were we to blame for it ending? Nothing lasts forever and Empired celebrates that like the wake of a loved one,” says Bruce Zebal of Empired.

The moving vocal performance combined with a memorable melody make “Just A Phase”, from EMPIRED, absolutely shine . If music is in your soul, you owe it to yourself to check out this stunning new song!

The Frst Take Center Stage With Star-Studded Punk Rock Opera, “This Never Happened”

We recently had the extreme privilege to check out the new star studded punk rock opera, “This Never Happened “ from The Frst. You can listen to “This Never Happened” on Spotify Here and on Apple Music Here

“This Never Happened “ from The Frst, is a beautifully crafted display of pure punk rock brilliance, The Frst didn’t just set the bar in terms of an incredible album, they took to it a completely different universe and it’s extraordinary.

This Never Happened”, their new full length , from The Frst, contains 13 tracks- highlighting some of Alternative Rock & Punk’s biggest icons, featuring members of Eagles of Death Metal, Bowling For Soup, Sleeping With Sirens, The Almost, Chiodos, The Dangerous Summer and helmed by producers George Perks (Skindred, Enter Shikari) and Matt Malpass (Blink 182, mgk) for a sprawling Nu Punk record that encompasses nearly every genre along the way.

Containing some of The Frst’s already established tracks such as “Bruce Lee” which hit #29 on the iTunes Rock Chart, and This Is Me Now which hit #46 on the same chart, “This Never Happened” contains fresh material, most notably “kNOw (feat. Makeout)” an uptempo Punk Rock anthem that’s equal parts The Donnas and Black Flag. Lyrically exploring themes of life in the 20’s, “kNOw” is a wake up call to attention with lyrics like “Wouldn’t you like to know, the freak show, the doom scroll…)

Meanwhile, “Ego Is The Enemy” is a short but mosh worthy Trap-Metal banger clocking in under 40 seconds, and yet the idea is perfectly crystallized by a single phrase, ‘my ego is the enemy.’ The true artistry however, is in the track order and the way each song flows seamlessly into the next. “This Never Happened” walks the delicate balance of feeling like a modern playlist of different artists, and a classic concept album such as Dark Side of The Moon or Sgt. Pepper that paints a vivid picture from beginning to end. Frontman Mikei Gray explains that it wasn’t by accident.

Part of the concept for the record…is that the album is a playlist that the main character has created to accompany them through the various twists and turns of the story. Each song is supposed to be a little different and sometimes juxtapose what’s next to it.”

Regardless of the lore, the ever changing line-up on each song is enough to keep even the most boisterous listeners attentive.

Do yourself a favor and check out the amazing new record, “This Never Happened “ from The Frst

Steel Wool Have Crafted Otherworldly Melodies That Move Both Mind , Body And Soul, With Debut EP, “Steel Wool”

Artwork-Cayla Blachman

We recently had the stellar opportunity to check out the debut self titled EP, via independent LA label, Bug Body from Los Angeles based rising shoegazers, Steel Wool. You can listen to the EP, on Spotify Here, Apple Music Here and on Bandcamp Here

Steel Wool, has such a beautiful and glowing sound, if they were a star they be the brightest in the sky… hands down .

Born out of their drummer Evan’s bedroom studio, Steel Wool has been making waves across the southland with plenty of local radio love including shoutouts from KCRW and a live session at KXLU. The group, consisting of Sean Lissner (guitar/singing), Jaden Amjadi (bass/screaming), Sam Schlesinger (guitar), and Evan Landi (drums) have developed a reputation for their boisterous live shows in garages, backyards, and DIY haunts of all stripes.

The opening track, “Fading” is a carefully crafted tapestry of calculated frantic energy that perfectly builds in sonic wave of fuzzed out musical goodness.

“Another Sunday “, is a well developed musical composition, that beautifully highlights the expert level of musicianship of Steel Wool. “Another Sunday” , also eloquently showcases the incredibly versatile vocals of Sean Lissner.

“Eyes Closed” , has a very cosmic feel to it . The guitar work on the track is absolutely mesmerizing. We found ourselves pushing repeat many times .

On “Heaven or La Brea,” the band really shows its brilliance with an absolutely indie rock work of art. We were literally hanging on every word and chord.

The closing track, “Tired Movements” was a stunning and moving track that took our breath away . Steel Wool , most definitely saved the best for last, as “Tired Movements “ displays a band that is firing on all cylinders.

Speaking about their debut EP, the band shares :

Steel Wool is a collision of sound experiments wearing the borrowed work uniform of rock music. With a DIY punk bassist, a college indie pop guitarist, a metalhead drummer, and a singer-songwriter up-front, the band has always been more of a sonic game of tug-of-war than a regiment in lockstep. Stepping outside these orthogonal backgrounds in search of common ground, we’ve ended up somewhere that isn’t quite home turf for any of us. The EP is a first step in five directions, sidling towards shoegaze, jangle pop, screamo, folk, and something else we can’t quite figure out a name for. With this record, we’ve crystallized the collaborative efforts of four new friends and bandmates, staking our flag in land we’re still yet to entirely survey.”

The musical soul of Steel Wool is magnificently woven within the fabric of their debut EP, and it is a thing of beauty.

Keeper teams up with Tally Spear on Brilliant New Emo-Infused-Hyper-Pop single ‘Cynical’

We recently had the distinct honor, to check out the new single, “Cynical”, from UK, Hyper-Pop-Punk star-in-the-making Keeper , featuring  ‘emo-flecked pop’ queen Tally Spear. You can listen to “Cynical”Here You can watch the video for “Cynical” which, was shot and edited by Tom Redford below

We absolutely love “Cynical”, from Keeper, featuring Tally Spear. “Cynical” is one of those mesmerizing and electrifying songs that once you hear it , you can’t resist it. The perfectly placed melody and words make “Cynical” stand out like a perfect shooting star flying through the atmosphere. We were absolutely smitten.

South London’s Keeper explores the end of love, life and blissful childhood innocence in brand new single ‘Cynical’, written and recorded in collaboration with Tally Spear.

Written alongside Spear, Jon Cass (As Everything Unfolds) and Matt Thorne, ‘Cynical’ takes the shape of a 2000’s inspired pop-rock track – combining inspiration from the likes of Avril Lavigne and Busted with qmhyper-pop stars Aries and Ryan Hall. This blend of noughties nostalgia and glitchy maximalism creates unforgettable earworm material – key to the Keeper sound.

On ‘Cynical’, Keeper’s Emanuel Andrade shares ‘This song came to life about a month after a painful, drawn-out breakup—on top of the death of my Grandad and my Dad losing his job, which left my mum panicking about the house. That breakup – ending a three-to-four-year relationship – had me blasting tracks from the bands I used to love, drowning myself in nostalgia.’

Cynicalwas the first song I wrote that year, setting the sonic tone for the rest of the EP. At the time, I was still deep in the mess of everything – right at the point where I had finally ripped off the plaster. Lyrically, Cynical was easy. I was completely in my own head that month—overthinking everything and desperate for a verbal outlet. Cynical took a melancholic, self-reflective route; the true beginning of my healing journey.’

There is no better feeling than having a song hit so perfectly…. This is definitely the case with “Cynical”

Upcoming dates:

April 25th – Black Heart, London (supporting Newshapes and Glassbridges)

Kairvina Makes Beautiful Music, With Latest Single “Bait”

We recently got the wonderful opportunity to check out the new single, “Bait”, from Mumbai, based singer-songwriter, Kairvina.

You can listen to “Bait” Here

Kairvina is an alternative singer/songwriter born and raised in India. Her passion for music found her at a very young age, with evenings spent singing and writing songs about middle school relationships, surprisingly devastating heartbreaks, and brooding soul-searching anthems. It was only a matter of time before that creative energy led her to self-learn guitar and share that angsty spirit.

Taking a leap of faith, Kairvina moved to Los Angeles at the age of 18. Immersing herself in her art, she formed a band, played countless gigs, and developed a conversational way of telling the stories she wants. Inspired by Jeff Buckley, Phoebe Bridgers, and Elliott Smith, she has created her own approach to music- raw and dreamy vocals melting into soft soul and rock, with a clear passion for storytelling and poetry. Her lyrics tend to be introspective and delicate, often with an added pinch of humour, giving a stage to human imperfections.

Her new song “Bait” is a fun, light-hearted track about being led on by someone, and finding a sense of tranquility in that situation

We absolutely love the eclectic vibe and sound of “Bait” Kairvina, is a singer-songwriter who puts her whole heart and soul into her music . This is front and center on her latest single .

Do your music loving soul a favor and get lost in the absolutely melodic goodness of “Bait” from Kairvina.

We were especially attracted to the drum sound within , “Dry Out In June” , it really gave the track an added dimension.

Led by guitarist, singer, and songwriter Pat King, Labrador has been around for a handful of years — seen moves to a new city (Philadelphia), seen a handful of lineup changes (the band is now officially King, Will Hochgertel and Steve Kurtz), and an excellent full-length breakthrough in 2023’s Hold The Door For Strangers. As you might guess from the title, Strangers was an album about empathy, full of poignant character studies and patient witching-hour ruminations.

We are looking forward to the release of “My Version Of Desire “ on May 30th, You can pre-order “My Version Of Desire “ Here

The band says, “This song is about the perpetual longing for something that feels solid- it’s wrapped up in the feeling that the grass is always greener. It’s an isolating feeling when everyone else looks like they’ve “figured it out”. To us, this song recognizes that feeling and instead of isolating, it invites you to “come visit.”

Known for their dynamic alternative sound, sharp lyricism, and infectious melodies, the band—Paddy McKiernan(vocals, guitar), Avery Greeson (guitar), Brennan Clark (bass), and Davis Rowe(drums)—continue to evolve while staying true to their roots.

The single offers a first taste of Whitehall’s upcoming album, set to arrive later this year. Following millions of streams, praise from NPR, Alternative Press, and American Songwriter, and tours alongside Goo Goo Dolls, Arlie, and Carver Commodore, Whitehall is gearing up for their next chapter—one that promises even more evolution, energy, and introspection.

Ray And Paul Release Heartfelt And Authentic New Single, “Scars”

Album Art – @nic.supa

We recently had the stellar opportunity to check out Indie Rock Duo, Ray and Paul,   and their new single “Scars” that is out now on all platforms. You can listen to “Scars” Here

We were mesmerized with the overall tone and melody of “Scars” in from Ray and Paul. “Scars”, is an honest , heartfelt and poetic track that we simply couldn’t resist. There is a welcomed freshness with Ray and Paul that really stood out to us .

“Scars” is the second single that will be featured on their upcoming EP “Fading“. “Scars” is a heartfelt, mid-tempo track that lingers somewhere between sorrow and resilience.   Ray wrote the lyrics during his freshman year of college as “a reflection on the intensity of young love and the difficult process of moving forward when it’s lost.” Now, four years later, the song has come to life and carries the weight of experience and time. Recorded at The Ship in Los Angeles with producer Jarvis Taveniere (Allah-Las, Mild High Club)Ray and Paul are two brothers from the SF Bay Area who formed the band together when they were just 17 and 13 respectively.   Their first single “Mystery” in 2019, written when Ray was seventeen, made waves in their Bay Area Community and went on to feature in several Spotify Editorial Playlists, giving them the platform to record their Self-Titled Debut Album. “Butterflies” off the album landed a sync placement in HBO’s The Sex Lives of College Girls. Moving to Santa Barbara for college infused their music with Surf/Garage Rock’s reckless energy and let them cut their teeth while playing shows all over Isla Vista and integrating into the local band scene. In October 2023, the band released the track “Pelican” which is currently their number one track on Spotify. The follow up single “Blue”, which expanded their sound further by featuring vocal melodies over heavier guitars, has quickly become a favorite in the live show.  This year Ray and Paul have been touring all over the West Coast, selling out numerous clubs along the way. They also recently played SXSW 2025, Treefort Festival and supported Sun Room on tour. The live band also features Aidan Reese (guitar) and Mac Bihn (bass). Ray and Paul also recorded several new songs with John Goodmanson (Weezer, Pavement, Nada Surf, Hockey Dad) at Robert Lang Studios and an EP with producer Jarvis Taveniere (Mild High Club, Surf Curse, Allah Las) which is set to be released in 2025 via AWAL.

“Scars” from Ray and Paul, is an absolute can’t miss.

Real Beaut Has Our Full Attention With Red Hot New Ep, “Politics”

Artwork Credit- Jason Zico

Every day we are giving stunning examples of why we love music so much. Today’s example, is courtesy of Boston alt-rock band, Real Beaut and their epically awesome new EP, “Politics”

You can listen to “Politics” on Spotify Here,

The Boston alt-rock band, composed of all those other rock and roll groups that soundtracked the gritty and messy underbelly of the city’s music scene over the past several years, unleash new EP Politics today, (Friday, April 4) . The official record release party goes down the following night at the band’s unofficial home base, The Middle East in Cambridge, leading a sparkplug bill alongside American Ethos, Dwelley, and Bad at Drawing

And regardless of where one may be on that Saturday night, the might and magnitude of Politics should be audibly heard far and loud. A powderkeg of a four-track record and the follow-up to 2023 debut EP Gentle Messages, it finds Real Beaut’s four members – guitarist Andrew Doherty; drummer and producer Benny Grotto, bassist and vocalist Johnny Northrup; and vocalist Keith Pierce – shifting into creative overdrive and embracing a new creative gear after years of collaboration, chemistry, and friendship.

Our excitement around releasing Politics is fairly boundless,” says Pierce. “We have been trying hard to keep this record under wraps. Creating new interesting guitar-driven music in a relatable, communicative way is difficult but Real Beaut is one of the finest rock experiments I’ve ever been a part of. This new EP is very different from some of our earlier productions but we tried to retain the speed and ferocity of our youth through practice, recording, and respect for the listener.”

An EP, like “Politics ”, is what happens when four next-level musicians get together and make the most spectacular-sounding collection of songs, we have heard in quite some time.

Even with each of the four blistering tracks all assuming its own sonic identity – confrontational opening banger “Politics on the Internet,” abrasively addresses what the title implies; the seismic “Paying Attention,” which hit Bandcamp early as an aural appetizer and has been described as a sort of grunge take on Van Halen; the hypnotic rock murkiness of ”Profane and Pedigree”; and the suffocating guitar assault of closer “Islands” – there is a cohesion that flows across the EP’s breathless and impatient 12 minutes of runtime.

Real Beaut always strives to find ways for building tension and allowing opportunity for release,” says Doherty. “Sometimes this is achieved by riding the line between discord and melody, or by letting the song sit in a sustained, dark pocket… festering or incubating, before breaking through and emerging as something new. These new tracks are a continuation of a process from our early work, but with more identifiable Real Beaut qualities.”

We hope to meet with the members of Real Beaut someday soon so we can personally congratulate them on crafting a stunningly brilliant EP, with “Politics”

“Save Me” , dives into the complexities of love, loss, and the desire for redemption.

The track is the latest to be taken from Portuguese shoegaze/post-metal band ICOSANDRIA and alt-rock trio TREEWAX’s forthcoming split EP, Void Intention, set for release 18th April 2025—a dynamic and emotionally charged collection of tracks that traverses one band’s immersive atmospheres and the other’s raw intensity with confidence.

An impressive new offering from the three piece, ‘Save Me’ brings raw and intense emotions to the forefront, with lyrics that should resonate deeply with anyone who has experienced the highs and lows of love. Atmospheric instrumentation and an abrasive vocal performance create a sonic landscape that perfectly complements the emotional weight of the song—with nods to their influences Weezer, Nirvana, and Ozma—and the rousing bridge in particular highlighting the band’s growth in terms of songwriting.

Commenting on the track, frontman Gonçalo Ferreira said: “‘Save Me’ is about feeling lost, about uncertain days, about the ‘last cry’ before everything might fade away, but while there’s still hope.”

Lead single ‘Chronophobia’ by ICOSANDRIA was released earlier this year, with underground tastemakers Noizze premiering the official video.

Showcasing a unique blend of alternative rock, grunge, shoegaze, and post-rock influences that will resonate deeply with fans of those genres and beyond, Treewax and Icosandria may hail from opposite ends of the alternative spectrum, but together they’ve created a thrilling shared sonic journey.

Consisting of Gonçalo Ferreira (guitar and vocals), Gustavo Ribeiro (bass), and Francisco Amado (drums), each member of Treewax brings their own unique influences from the worlds of alternative rock, grunge, punk and pop-rock to the table, making the perfect mix for high-energy songs that encourage listeners not only to hear them, but to live them.

Hop in the driver’s seat and crank it to 100. “Save Me”, from Treewax is an absolute alt-rock gem.

BREICHIAU HIR Embrace Fatalism On New Single ‘Yn Tynnu Fi Fel Cortyn’ (Pulling Me Like A Rope)

We recently had the amazing opportunity to check out the new single, Yn Tynnu Fi Fel Cortyn’ (Pulling Me Like A Rope), from Welsh language alternative rock six-piece, Breichiau Hir. You can listen to, Yn Tynnu Fi Fel Cortyn’ (Pulling Me Like A Rope) Here You can also watch the video below

We were absolutely enthralled by the power and beauty of Yn Tynnu Fi Fel Cortyn’ (Pulling Me Like A Rope), from Breichiau Hir. There is this wonderful majestic quality about the song that we love.

Commenting on the track, front man Steffan Dafydd says: The song is about life’s inevitabilities, and the feeling that you aren’t in control of your own choices. It depicts an emotional or existential journey—one of letting go, being carried by something greater, and accepting the inevitable return to a previous state. These themes are seen across the entire album, the sense of fatalism and surrendering to some force.”

The line that opens the song is what kicked the writing process off—this powerful, captivating line that hooks you and takes you away. It felt so organic. It became this earworm we couldn’t shake, and we wanted it to be the central part of the song, the thing we always come back to. That hooking effect also inspired a lot of the lyrics, this unseen force capturing you and taking you away.”

The new single is the latest to be taken from their forthcoming second album Y Dwylo Uwchben (The Hands Above), set for release on April 11th, 2025 via Halen Records.

It follows on from lead single ‘Cuddio Tu Ôl Y Llen’ released earlier this year, and the music video for follow up single ‘Paid Trio’ (Don’t Try), which premiered with S4C’s new Welsh music and contemporary culture show Lŵp.

A special album launch show is planned for  April, 17th 2025 at legendary local venue Clwb Ifor Bach in the band’s hometown of Cardiff, and the group recently announced they will support fellow Walsh crew Goldie Lookin Chain on their Autumn 2025 UK tour dates(see below for listings).

Combining the visceral and the vulnerable, Breichiau Hir have distinguished themselves within Cardiff’s vibrant music scene with their distinctive take on Welsh-language rock music.  Their intense live shows invite catharsis through introspection and unbridled energy. Their ability to switch from explosive walls of sound to gossamer ostinato allow the band to resonate from the most intimate of venues to the festival stage.

You need to stop what you are doing and embrace the musical goodness of Yn Tynnu Fi Fel Cortyn’ (Pulling Me Like A Rope) from Breichiau Hir

Zach Paradis Is A Voice You Need To Hear, New Single, “Hurricane” Is Simply Beautifully Brilliant

Some songs just find a way into your soul and they touch you in way that you hope they never leave , this is definitely the case with Zach Paradis and his stunning new single, “Hurricane”

You can listen to “Hurricane” Here

Zach Paradis (pronounced “paradise“), a Cleveland-born artist now based in Los Angeles, has gifted the world an incredible gift with his new single, “Hurricane”

 credit: Santa Cruz Film Department

Known for blending pop, hip-hop, and R&B influences, Paradis began his career in Atlanta as a producer and engineer, before embarking on his solo journey. His music emphasizes honest storytelling and dynamic production, promising listeners an engaging experience with his latest track, “Hurricane.” The track showcases Paradis‘ signature emotive vocals and thought-provoking lyrics, drawing listeners into a whirlwind of raw emotion and personal reflection. With a catchy hook and a fusion of energetic beats, “Hurricane” is a testament to his growth as an artist and his ability to create music that resonates deeply with his audience.

Paradis says, “I wrote this song about finding peace in someone when life feels like a storm around you. Some people have a way of bringing a calm to chaos, like the eye of a hurricane. Even if it’s just for a short while, like it was for me in this case, they can make everything ok when they’re with you.”

The youngest of nine, Zach Paradis grew up searching for his place, not just in his family, but in the world. Inspired by the grit and resilience of the working-class people around him and the music that shaped his childhood, classics like Steely Dan, singer-songwriters such as Ed Sheeran, and genre-bending acts like Bryson Tiller, he set out on a journey to find where he belonged.

Atlanta was the first stop. There, Zach honed his craft as a producer and engineer, helping others bring their sound to life. But the deeper he dug into others’ music, the more he realized he had something unique to say too. Equipped with ambition and a hunger to evolve, he made the leap to Los Angeles, not just to make music, but to become the artist he was meant to be.

Zach’s music is the sound of self-discovery–an ever-evolving blend of the influences that shaped him, woven into something uniquely his own. Every lyric, every melody is a step closer to who he is, proving that belonging isn’t about where you are, but about owning who you are.

Zach Paradis, will be going on tour starting April, 3rd , dates are below.

We were absolutely mesmerized by sheer artistic beauty of “Hurricane” from Zach Paradis.

Known for their relentless touring and infectious melodies, the band channels the spirit of punk’s golden age with a fresh and approachable modern twist. Even Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day has hailed Real Sickies as his favorite Canadian punk band, cementing their status as a standout act in the global punk scene.

Real Sickies, hold nothing back, as soon as we heard the opening track, “Under A Plastic Bag“ ( which is also the title track ) we knew we were about to experience a complete punk rock adrenaline rush.

Described as “the Teenage Bottlerocket of the Great White North” by The Punk Site, Real Sickies fuse the raw power of Ramones-core with melodic hooks that could just as easily resonate in packed punk venues as on alternative FM radio. Written between whirlwind international tours, late-night demo sessions, and chaotic live performances, Under a Plastic Bag is an album brimming with raw, high-energy anthems. Tracks like “Wild Imagination,”Should Have Seen It Coming,” and “Triage” showcase the band’s knack for crafting catchy choruses and sharp songwriting, blending the simplicity of the Ramones with the wild edge of Teenage Head, the melodic urgency of the Buzzcocks, the quirky, off-kilter energy of Devo, and the brooding intensity of The Sound.

The recording process for Under a Plastic Bag was as intense as the themes the album explores. Engineered and produced by Joshua Wells (Autogramm, Lightning Dust), the album was recorded in Edmonton’s Riverdale Recorders during one of the city’s coldest winters. “I was brought in specifically to bring more of the post punk weirdo sound to this record,” said Wells of the sessions. “Josh flew in from Chicago and joined us in our Little Italy studio in Edmonton,” recalls frontman Ben Disaster. “We hunkered down with coffee and sandwiches, sometimes only sleeping five hours a night. It felt right—it was positive, freeing, and creative. We had a lot of songs and big ideas, but everything came together in that short, freezing stretch of time.” The studio itself became a character in the creative process. “We built a fort in the studio to keep warm, drank endless coffee, and powered through long nights,” Ben shares. “The cold and isolation somehow fueled the energy of the recordings. It was a weirdly perfect environment to make a record about chaos, resilience, and piecing things back together.” The result is an album that retains the band’s signature energy while pushing into new sonic territory.

Every song on “Under A Plastic Bag, is absolutely phenomenal, however the one track that stood out to us was , “Wild Imagination “, we love everything about this track . The sound and vibe on “Wild Imagination” is absolutely breathtaking. You can also check out the video for “Wild Imagination

If punk rock is your thing you can’t afford to miss “Under A Plastic Bag “, from Real Sickies.

The new track is a hopeful single about how love paramounts the struggle of distance. Krooked Tongue Are Laser Focused On Latest Single, “Let ‘Em Loose”

We recently had the amazing opportunity to check out the new single, “Let Em Loose”, from Bristol,UK, rock trio Krooked Tongue

You can listen to “Let ‘Em Loose”, on Spotify Here, Apple Music Here, and on Amazon Here

The new single, “Let ‘Em Loose “, follows 2024’s ‘Nothing Ever Grows’ and ‘Ember Mile’, taken from a longer body of material, with further details to be announced in the coming months. Their previous singles saw support from Apple editorial’s ‘Breaking Hard Rock’, New Noise Magazine, CLOUT, Total Rock, Primordial Radio and Boogaloo Radio, and ‘Nothing Ever Grows’ was used throughout the Bivol vs Beterbiev boxing fight on DAZN Sports.

Krooked Tongue,(Oli Rainsford, vocals, bass, Dan Smith, guitar, vocals, Harry Pritchard, drums) have the amazing ability to take sounds and lyrics and construct songs that appeal to both the mind and soul , “Let ‘Em Loose” is not just a captivating song but it also serves as a powerful point for thought provoking discussion.

Recorded and produced with long-time producer Josh Gallop at Stage 2 Studios in Bath, the track uses playful phrasing, scathing sarcasm and sharp humour to cast a penetrating lens on the damaging toll technology is taking on real life relationships.

Describing the single, vocalist and lyricist Oli Rainsford states, Let ‘Em Loose’ is a song that parallels the technological age we found ourselves in today. We’re all so addicted to screen time that we forget how important it is for us to spend time with each other, really with each other. No distractions.

Let ‘Em Loose’ is a song that reminds us to be a little more present in a world where it seems like being tethered to a plug socket is the norm. Whilst you’re scrolling reels or finding yourself down Youtube rabbit holes all night, you’re missing your kids growing up, you’re missing out on your Grandad’s most compelling stories and you’re eating away at the dwindling hourglass of time. It’s harder now more than ever NOT to be sucked into the world of social media, but in the words of Eddie Abbew… ‘Wake the fuck up.’

Oli continues: The lyrics in the chorus draw inspiration from the Black Mirror episode ‘Metalhead’. I think the way in which technology is represented as these robotic minions hunting people in rural settings is quite a relevant visualisation of the message in ‘Let ‘Em Loose’. Especially now with a sudden push for AI to do everything that’s made us human. Maybe there’s a place for that somewhere, but it shouldn’t be used where it can fragment society more than it already is now. We need to regain our sense of importance. ‘Let ‘Em Loose’ is your warning.”

So drop whatever you have going on and get lost in the musical goodness that is “Let ‘Em Loose” from Krooked Tongue.

We recently had the amazing opportunity to check out the new single, “Gratitude”, from Cambridge singer-songwriter and Boston music scene veteran, Adam Sherman. The song also features Boston music icon Robin Lane

You can listen to “Gratitude” on Bandcamp Here

We were immediately taken with “Gratitude” from Adam Sherman , featuring Robin Lane, there is a heartfelt message of hope that lingers gently within the beautiful melodic tapestry of the song that stays with you long after the music has faded

A needed tonic for our collective demoralization and a welcome dose of communal appreciation, “Gratitude” is the follow-up to last fall’s Bandcamp-exclusive “Pure As Yours,” and leads off Sherman’s forthcoming new EP, Nowhere But Here. The four-track collection of new material is out digitally and compact disc on March 28, with the record release party the following night at Club Passim in Harvard Square, Cambridge.

“‘Gratitude’ is about focusing on thankfulness for the good things in our lives, rather than the difficulties we encounter every day,” Sherman says. “It’s about finding light in the darkness. It’s about having hope when there is so much sadness in the world. I challenged myself to write a song about all that I have to be thankful for… I often write about love and loss and I wanted to go in an entirely new direction.”

Sherman, known for work that spans decades from early bands like Private Lightning and The Souls to a distinguished modern-day solo career and as former guitarist for the resurrected Nervous Eaters . Adam Sherman is a gifted songwriter/ storyteller with an authentic voice with a message that shines perfectly on “Gratitude”

Sherman is truly at his collaborative best, enlisting Boston music icon Robin Lane for harmony vocals. Lane, known for her work in the ‘80s fronting beloved pop-rock group The Chartbusters, provides her unmistakable voice to the Nowhere But Here EP, and joins Sherman on stage at the Passim release party on March 29. But despite Sherman and Lane both having deep, rich histories in the Boston music scene, they began collaborating only recently.

Robin and I met by sharing songs with each other by email,” Sherman admits. “I’ve always loved Robin’s voice and when she responded positively to ‘Gratitude’ I asked if she would be willing to sing harmony. She agreed, and when we began recording in the studio it became clear that her voice would be beautiful on the other songs as well.”

Produced by Ken Field; recorded and mixed by Jon Evans at Brick Hill Studio in Orleans, MA; and mastered by Mark Alan Miller, “Gratitude” represents a bit of a new chapter for Sherman, who self-releases the track under his own Haddon Road Music. It’s indebted to his past work, but also clears a new path forward as his artist studio in Cambridge provides the backdrop for his various creative passions, from writing and playing music to painting to graphic design to running a successful voice lessons business for the past 12 years.

“Gratitude”, from Adam Sherman, featuring, Robin Lane is absolutely gorgeous track that you simply hear…. You’ll be grateful you did.

Canyons And Locusts Paint An Absolutely Gorgeous Melodic Masterpiece With “The Goal Gigolo”

All music compositions start the same , a blank undefined thought that finds life and melody , that is then shared with the world . Boston and phoenix melodic noise rock duo , Canyons And Locusts, deliver to the universe and beyond, their striking concept record The Goal Gigolo today, (Friday, February 21) , about a ’70s-era anti-hero who can’t seem to escape his own past misfortunes.

You can listen to , “The Goal Gigolo” on Bandcamp Here

At the core of the beautiful noise and fuzz that is feverishly front and center on “The Goal Gigolo” , from Canyons And Locust , is the cinematic and musical greatness that makes , “The Goal Gigolo , shine.

“The Goal Gigolo” draws together several storytelling narrators underneath the duo’s unhinged wall of fuzzed-out rock and roll. It fully realizes an unfurling narrative from vocalist, guitarist, and bassist Justin Keane and drummer Amy Young that began in November with the release of the gritty, confrontational, and catchier-than-an-attitude lead single “Anna Save A Life” and last month’s anthemic, ebullient, and riff-fueled “Day of the Canyon.”

The Goal Gigolo, tabbed by WBUR, Boston’s NPR, as one of the most-anticipated New England records of the winter, and after a deep listen, we completely agree. There is no reason, why “The Goal Gigolo” should be on a gazillion different “Best Albums” of 2025.

From the opening note on “Have To Fire That Goal Gigolo” , it is crystal clear that Canyons And Locusts have harnessed musical nirvana.

Broadly speaking, The Goal Gigolo is the story of a guy who makes his living solving others’ emotional problems while trying not to get entangled with them romantically,” says Keane. “It’s set in the 1970s, so I guess we weren’t calling those people life coaches yet.”

And like most moments of inspiration, the seeds of the story first came to Keane in a dream.

It sounds made up, but scout’s honor truth here – I had a really vivid dream about a guy named The Goal Gigolo, and the dream was very much sepia-toned and ‘70s feeling, so much so that when I woke up I slapped the details into ChatGPT for fun and asked it to come up with an imaginary show pitch. Then a couple of hours later I was like… wait… an ALBUM!”

Courtesy of the band

The cinematic saga of The Goal Gigolo, like some kind of distant cousin to Robert Altman’s film The Long Goodbye, plays out like the latest hit Netflix drama we all binge-watch over a weekend and talk about with coworkers on Slack or Teams come Monday morning.

Every song on “The Goal Gigolo”, from Canyons And Locusts are energetic sonically perfect gems that feature the thunderous and powerful drumming of Amy Young and the one of kind and authentic voice and fuzzed out guitar genius of Justin Keane.

The well woven story in “The Goal Gigolo” had us literally hanging on every word . Besides the lead single, “Anna Save A life” and the follow up , “Day Of The Canyon “ , we found ourselves gravitating towards other stellar tracks such as , “Trapped In Trigger, “Here Come The Buzzards “, and “Take Me Back Lee’s

It was Justin’s dream, but easy for me to connect with – the songs tell the stories,” Young adds. “It’s a journey, and watching journeys unfold is fascinating. It’s a movie that I see in my mind based on Justin’s words. I got to help add a soundtrack to this guy’s goings-on. What’s not awesome about that?”

Picking a favorite track, on an album like , “The Goal Gigolo “, is next to impossible, however the one track that really stood out to us was…. “Motorwall Oil” , this is Canyons And Locusts, at their absolute best . ( The drum and guitar sounds they were able to create are absolutely otherworldly) Everything about this track is spectacularly magnificent. The one thing that really stood out to us on “Motorwall Oil” , how both Young and Keane were almost cosmically connected.

“I listen to what he’s telling me,Young says. “We’ve known each other and played together for a long time, so generally, I know where his core is at – the nature of where he’s coming from. If not, we’ll talk about it, and then it’s about thinking about how to bring that to life sonically — but also not overthinking it because we leave a lot for the moment when we just play each song and let that give it a lot of its life. And that is really exciting. It starts with him bringing something to me, and then it becomes a glorious conversation.”

“The Goal Gigolo “ , was Produced by Justin Keane and Ethan Dussault. Recorded and mixed by Ethan Dussault at New Alliance Studio in 2023, 2024. Mastered by Nick Zampiello at New Alliance East, 2024

We couldn’t help but marvel at the amazing musicianship, from Last Hyena , that is on full display on “Make It Sound French” The trio effortlessly weave several intricate melodies that when joined together create a breathtakingly beautiful musical composition.

GLK Media

Make It Sound French’ follows 2021’s debut album, ‘How Soon is Mars?’which received critical acclaim for its innovative sound and emotional depth, celebrated by the likes of Punktastic, Noizze, At The Barrier, Visions and Everything Is Noise and saw the band awarded slots at festivals such as ArcTanGent, Portals and PWER.

Recorded, mixed and mastered with Mark Roberts (Delta Sleep, Black Peaks, Poly-Math, Jamie Lenman) at Devon’s Middle Farm Studios, Make It Sound French’ blends elements of math-rock, post-rock and ambient noise to capture the experience of adapting to life’s most unpredictable and overwhelming moments.

GLK Media

Discussing what they hoped to achieve with the track the band explain, With ‘Make It Sound French’, we wanted to explore the emotional weight of complex situations purely through music. It’s a deeply personal piece for us, with the absence of words inviting a more universal experience, where the music itself speaks directly to the emotions we all go through. The track builds from intricate guitar textures, driving rhythms to moments of cathartic release, using dynamic shifts and thoughtful builds to express the tension between disorder and serenity aiming to create a sonic representation of the process of working through inner chaos and ultimately finding clarity.

The title comes from a story shared by a close friend whose father was in a punk band in his younger years. During one of their shows, the band decided to play an impromptu cover of ‘Ça plane pour moi’ by Plastic Bertrand. When the lead singer, our friend’s father, told his bandmates he didn’t know the lyrics, one of them responded with “just make it sound French!”. This spontaneous moment stuck with us because it perfectly embodies the themes we wanted to explore in the track: the idea of adapting to the unexpected, leaning into the chaos and finding a way to make something work even when things aren’t perfect. The title captures that spirit of improvisation and fluidity, much like the journey the music itself takes listeners on. We’re thrilled to share this journey with our listeners, and we hope it resonates with anyone who’s ever had to find peace in the midst of turmoil.”

Music is a beautiful vehicle that is meant to take us on wonderful and beautiful adventures, Last Hyena, are brilliant tour guides, as they deliver a remarkable musical adventure with their latest single , “Make It Sound French”

Richard Evans , Shares New Otherworldly New Single, “Aidoru”

We recently had the excellent opportunity to check out the new single , “Aidour”, from Manchester electro pop artist RICHARD EVANS(formerly of UK cult band JAMES and ST. VITUS DANCERS). You can listen to “Aidoru” on Spotify, Here, Apple Music, Here and on Bandcamp, Here You can also watch the video below.

We were absolutely swept away with the dreamy electro-pop vibes of “Aidoru”, from Richard Evans, via Cold Star Media.

“Aidoru”, is named for the Japanese word meaning “idol“. The song’s lyrics explore the status of a virtual pop idol designed only to please its audience as it sings of love with no understanding of what the word means.

A British-Irish electronic musician, writer and digital media artist, Evans’ foray into the music scene includes time as the keyboardist in UK cult band James, with whom he also co-wrote and recorded material, and as guitarist and songwriter for St. Vitus Dancers.

Aidoru‘ previews Evans’ new ‘Quantum’ album, released in stereo, binaural and spatial audio mixes, created by award-winning Swiss sound designer Hervé Girardin. Recorded at Cold Star Studios, this nine-track collection itself is themed around artificial intelligence –  probing its impact upon us,  how algorithms are changing us and questioning what responsibility we bear for the things we create.

“Aidoru”, from Richard Evans, is a mesmerizing track that is an unbelievable musical experience, that you feel with your full mind , body , soul

This song is one of the first written for the new album and marks a change in my writing process, being originated on just piano and vocals rather than devised within studio software. I specifically wanted a bright, hi-energy track to match the commerciality of the virtual idol concept. The lyrics reflect a creation that is designed for just one purpose – to serve its listeners,” says Richard Evans.

“Aidoru”, from Richard Evans, is an absolute can’t miss.

Smitt E. Smitty & The Fezztones, Dazzle With Hypnotic New Groove, “#1 Most Likely “

Boston’s oddity-rock misfits line up a throbbing Valentine’s Day alt-love anthem for those who own our hearts , Today (Friday, February 14)

Our love for music has reached new heights as Smitt E Smitty & The Fezztones , fantastically take their unique and mesmerizing sound to the next level with their latest musical offering, “#1 Most Likely “

You can listen to “#1 Most Likely“ on Spotify Here, Apple Music Here

Courtesy Of The band

The new single continues a recent February pattern, following the 2022 Valentine’s Day release of “Buzzkill Baby” and the 2023 unleashing of the Fezztones“Rebel Rebel” cover. And it’s the first dose of new sounds from Smitt E. Smitty & The Fezztones since last spring’s anthemic breakout hit “Bye Bye Sunday Afternoon” and the prior fall’s “The Growler.”

With “#1 Most Likely,” the Detroit-born, Boston-based garage n’ glam rock alchemist sets his sights on the ones we love the most, appreciating the love they give, but also – as the lyrics playfully suggest – respecting their ability to make us kneel down and cry.

With music being the ultimate form of storytelling, Smitt E Smitty & The Fezztones, spin a melodic hypnotic alternative love song groove , with “#1 Most Likely that is positively divine.

This song is a ‘love song’ alternative – an alt-love song, perfect for Valentine’s Day,” Smitty says. “I’ve been in a loving long-term relationship for quite some time now. Having said that, as anyone in a long-term relationship can tell you, relationships are complicated – to say the least. Good days, bad days, and everything in between.”

The musical synergy generated by Smitt E Smitty & The Fezztones on “#1 Most Likely” is off the charts as the band skillfully exhibits next level musicianship.

Led by a relentless bassline, a Melissa & Doug toy piano that gives the song its glass-encased swagger – “You really have to hit it hard to make it work,” he notes, “it’s a real clunky sound” – and Smitty’s ultra-repetitive, deadpan vocal delivery that’s not unlike Leonard Cohen in “Everybody Knows,” the track is an instant earworm as Smitty plays loosely with double entendre across the lyric sheet that reads out like frantic scribbles across a beat-up Valentine’s Day card.

“#1 Most Likely” was recorded with Alec Rodriguez at New Alliance Audio in Somerville, MA, and the Fezztones are returning to the studio to prepare additional releases for 2025. “We have the recording process with Alec down to a science,” Smitty says of the track’s engineer and co-producer. “Everything he touches turns to gold.”

What now follows this release are live shows and showcases in both Boston and Detroit, a live appearance on Bedford TV’s The Groove and Gab Cafe later in the year, and the “#1 Most Likely” music video, which will follow the streaming release not too long after it lands on everyone’s playlist – on February 14 and beyond.

“#1 Most Likely “ from Smitt E. Smitty & The Fezztones is an absolute can’t miss.

( We want to publicly apologize to the band , we are sorry it took us so long to discover the incredible punk rock goodness of Adios Fatso)

Adios Fatso , who spent 2024, promoting their  No Cap album, a dope vinyl release, and also got a couple of shows under their belt , they are off to a fast start in 2025, with their latest single , “WTF”

We were absolutely enthralled with “WTF”, Adios Fatso , is a band who has one of the most unique sounds we’ve heard . There is definitely a punk sounding influence in their sound (Descendents,Ramones) but there is also this magnificent blues tone in “WTF” that gives it such an amazing added dimension. We also loved the thoughtful guitar work on “WTF”– absolutely freaking brilliant.

WTF dives headfirst into the chaos of “crab mentality,” delivering razor-sharp lyrics rooted in real-life scenarios and the band’s signature unfiltered edge.

Adios Fatso, are a well oiled group of next level musicians, who have an amazing sound and vibe, and this shines brightly on “WTF”

Speaking of Descendents , “WTF”, was Mixed by Andrew Berlin (Descendents, Teenage Bottlerocket, Rise Against) and mastered by Jason Livermore (NOFX, Propagandhi, Lagwagon) at The legendary Blasting Room in Fort Collins, CO.

Cortney Dixon Delivers empowering new single “You Look Good Naked”

We recently had the opportunity to check out the new single, “You Look Good Naked” from UK, indie-pop artist, Cortney Dixon.

You can listen to “You Look Good Naked “ Here . You can also watch the video below .

Cortney Dixon, brings an addictive and mesmerizing melody on her latest single, “You Look Naked” and we absolutely love it .

Cortney Dixon is an artist, producer, songwriter and guitarist from the coastal town of South Shields in the North of England, who has a style and vibe that we can’t help but gravitate to.

Cortney has written and produced a slick 6 track EP, titled ‘354’, which deftly blends her down to earth punky DIY roots with a well crafted aspirational pop glamour, the first single ‘You Look Good Naked’ drops today, ( February 12th)

You Look Good Naked’, is an honest and authentic gem, written following an unplanned visit to a strip club on a week night.

Cortney explains further:

‘I wrote this song after spending a Tuesday night in a strip club in Newcastle. Me and my best friend Sarah were out and the only place left open was the strip club, so we went to the strip club for the first time. We had always been curious about what stripping was all about and wished I had the confidence to try it, so this trip felt like research.

I got talking to one of the girls working that night. She was called Daisy and was very beautiful. She looked like a Pixie. She told me all about how much she loved her job and found it very empowering. I got a dance off Daisy. Summing up exactly how it made me feel and quoting the song ‘I can’t decide if I wanna be you, or if it’s that I really want to kiss you’. I love the idea of telling someone how amazing they look Naked. Everyone deserves to feel beautiful and desired in their own skin. ‘OMG YOU LOOK GOOD NAKED’!’

Carefully crafted, the EP out on Friday 26th September(complete with an artfully inspired limited run of vinyl records) cuts with ease through garage rock, fuzzy indie and fizzy pop with a hook filled charm and high energy verve.

This whole EP was a very DIY process. ‘You Look Good Naked’ was recorded in my studio in Newcastle, engineered by my best friend, Rob, produced by me and mixed by me and Rob in his living room. It was my mission to find the scrappiest guitar sound possible, inspired by my favourite punk records of the 70’s. I wanted to combine this sound with a fun pop sensibility.”

We are 1000% all in on Cortney Dixon, and her brilliantly crafted new single , “You Look Naked

Magic Bronson Makes An Electrifying Statement With New Album , Good Dogs

We first came to know Los Angeles, based indie-electronic duo, last month with their playful single, “Show My Teeth”, now the duo delivers their new album, “Good Dogs”, which is their first after a 4 year hiatus.

You can listen to “Good Dogs, Here

Known for their distinctive sound that marries electronic music with raw, emotional indie elements, Michael Nicastro and Matthew Lieberman have been captivating audiences since their formation. Their music, a vibrant mix of synth-driven melodies and bass-heavy rhythms, speaks to the heart of the urban experience, reflecting themes of anxiety, societal observations, and personal introspection.

Crafted remotely via Zoom and home studios, the album explores themes of second chances, loss, love, longing, getting older, pining for youth and trying to find a new normalcy post Covid. The title Good Dogs is a reference to Magic Bronson’s longevity and consistency as a duo over the last decade. With its high-energy sound, blending uptempo drums, throbbing bass, and dynamic vocals, Good Dogs is an anthem of bold living and motivation.

Photographer: Cameron Maier

We absolutely love the synergy generated from Magic Bronson, we especially felt this on “We Use To Settle”

Title-track “Good Dogs” is a playful dance track that speaks to the push and pull of attraction.  Lieberman explains, “The verses alternate between who’s in charge or metaphorically on the leash in the sense of who’s controlling the relationship at the moment. Musically it’s a 4 on the floor banger with a throbbing bass line and crunchy vintage synths.”

The playful “Show My Teeth” comes to life through oscillating, kaleidoscopic synths, and a fast-paced, move-inducing beat. Known for their experimental approach, the track keeps listeners on their toes, with unexpected twists and turns, including a second verse that serves as a nod to Paul McCartney’s part in The Beatles’ “A Day In The Life.”

There is not a bad song to be found on “Good Dogs”, “Get’Em Kid”, “Industry Plant” and “Tombstone” are all standouts on “Good Dogs”

Magic Bronson, have created an absolute brilliant collection of songs on “Good Dogs” , the songs moved our soul and our feet.

The track serves as a wake up call to the increasing levels of social and racial injustice and the lack of acknowledgement of it.

On Wha-Gwaan!’s subject matter, Doncker says, The legendary Nigerian Godfather of Afro Beat, Fela Ransome Kuti once said: ‘Music is the weapon of the future’. Well…The future is most definitely NOW! ‘Wah Gwaan’ is a Jamaican Patois greeting that means ‘what’s going on?’ or ‘what’s up?’. The lyric is a modern day riff on Marvin Gaye’s classic ‘What’s Going On’. Through an Afro Beat / Funk-Rebel music lens. It was designed to be a wake up call response to the seemingly increasing presence of social injustice in the world today. The hypnotic dub-funk groove is brought to the boiling point by the legendary Frank Benbini (Fun Lovin’ Criminals/UB40/Uncle Frank), who I’m thrilled makes a guest appearance on drums and hype vocals.”

Falsely Accused Flexes Greatness On New EP, “Unbroken”

Artwork by Matt Tavano

New England based alternative rock trio, Falsely Accused, new EP, “Unbroken” , was recently named one of Boston’s most anticipated winter releases by WBUR, Boston’s NPR, and we couldn’t agree more .

You can listen to “Unbroken” on Bandcamp Here

When we pushed play to listen to the new sonically blazing EP, “Unbroken, from Falsely Accused, we felt like we were witnessing the rebirth of authentic genuine electrifying life changing alternative rock.

We can’t say we were completely caught off guard on the well crafted EP,  September’s explosive “A Drink Before The War” and the gritty desert rock of October’s “Witches”, certainly gave clues of greatness coming.

Courtesy Of The Band

The two above mentioned single are only the tip of the sonically explosive iceberg, that is “Unbroken” . In addition to releasing Unbroken, which hits Bandcamp for digital release on Friday, January 31, The band will also unleash a CD unveiling and record release party on Saturday, February 15 at Thirsty First in Lowell, alongside Derek Smith and the Cosmic Vultures and Adios Fatso. Along the way to  the live show, the music video for “A Drink Before The War” debuts on YouTube on Tuesday, February 11.

Falsely Accused ( drummer , Mike Azzolino; bassist and vocalist Matt Tavano; and guitarist Mark Young ) are generating a well deserved buzz, including being mentioned in WBUR, Boston’s NPRWinter Music Guide

It’s been three years since our last record and to say we’re excited to get our new music out into the world would be an understatement,” admits Tavano. “We worked hard to create a record with new ideas, new sounds and concepts, not just rehashing the same sound from Compression. As we evolve, so must the music.”

Recorded and engineered by Steve Aliperta at Kennedy Studios in Burlington, Massachusetts, and mastered by Dominik Honold at Protonaut Studios in Erkelenz, Germany, Unbroken is the sound of a band finding its groove-rock rhythm, but also its lyrical voice. Tavano wrote the lyrics on Compression as a reflection of him facing death and the inner, psychological emotions that come with it.

We found ourselves constantly replaying “Unbroken“ We loved the post grunge groove on “Castaway” between the soul moving vocals and the incredible guitar work , this song is phenomenal.

“Drifting”, showcases Falsely Accused brilliant ability to take a simple melody and build on it to the point where it is a magnificent musical composition.

The closing track, “Soul Crushing “ is a true musical opus, that takes your mind body and soul on an unbelievable musical journey. It is the perfect way to close out a stunningly spectacular EP.

Annabel Gutherz Delivers An Absolutely Beautifully Crafted Melodic Gem With “Dance Around It”

We recently had the delightful opportunity to check out the gorgeous new single “Dance Around It” from rising singer & songwriter, Annabel Gutherz. You can listen to “Dance Around It “ Here

The track seamlessly fuses the timeless essence of classic rock with the irresistible pull of modern pop melodies, creating a rich sonic landscape that perfectly frames Annabel’s stunning, emotive vocals.

There is this wonderful and timeless quality with “Dance Around It ” from Annabel Gutherz, that is positively divine.

At its core, “Dance Around It” is an exploration of love’s delicate balancing act—the joy of living in the moment tempered by the quiet apprehension of the unknown. “This song captures the bittersweet joy of being deeply in love while quietly fearing its fragility,” Annabel shares. It’s about cherishing the beauty of the present while grappling with the ‘what ifs’ that loom in the background. It’s a dance of vulnerability and courage, choosing to love fully even in the face of uncertainty.”

Recorded in Los Angeles and co-written with acclaimed songwriters Mikal Blue and Bret “Epic” Mazur, “Dance Around It” combines lush instrumentation with introspective lyricism. The result is a track that feels both intimate and expansive, offering listeners a poignant reflection on the paradox of joy and fear that comes with love.

We love how the melody and words are beautifully and delicately woven together on “Dance Around It “…. An absolute work of musical art.

Born and raised in Montreal, Annabel Gutherz has a gift for crafting timeless music that resonates with the universal human experience. Her signature style—marked by poignant storytelling, honeyed melodies and captivating vocals—takes listeners on a deeply emotional journey.

Find your favorite listening spot and get lost in the spectacular beautiful melody of “Dance Around It ” from Annabel Gutherz.

Museum Of Light Unleash Stunning New Single “Undone”

We recently checked out the new single , “Undone” via Spartan Records, from Seattle based band Museum Of Light . “Undone”, is the second single off upcoming sophomore album “Diviner”, out March, 14th . You can listen to “Undone “ Here

“Undone” , from Museum Of Light shines like a bright beacon of sound that you simply can not ignore.

Guitarist Ted Alvarez tells RevolverIt’s a bit strange for us to pick singles. Obviously we want people to enjoy each song on its own terms and listen however they desire. But we’re massive fans of the classic LP format, and for “Diviner” we wanted to expand what we started on “Horizon” and really design the record as something that’s hopefully most rewarding when it’s absorbed in one sitting. It might be an old or antiquated idea, but it’s our tiny way of pushing back against everyone’s attention being atomized and split in a million directions. That said, “Undone” has been a set ender for a while, so it proved its mettle as a banger long before the album took shape.”

When it comes to meanings or feelings, I think we’re way more into creating images and suggestions that feel real and true, but opaque enough that the listener is really attaching their own specific story. This one’s maybe a bit more concrete in that I think we tried to bottle the collapse of a relationship when it feels most catastrophic — mountains are crumbling, the earth is literally trying to swallow you up. But even after you’ve been buried, you can see a little light coming through the cracks, if that makes any sense.”

Museum Of Light’s sound brilliantly blends crushing, heavy swagger with ethereal, sparkling melodies, creating a dynamic, otherworldly atmosphere that combines raw intensity with haunting, operatic vocals and poetic, existential lyrics.

Catch Museum Of Light on tour in March/April.

Magana Delivers Beautifully Crafted New EP, “Bad News”

We recently had the wonderful opportunity to listen to the new EP, “Bad News” , from Magana, the solo project of acclaimed LA-based multi-instrumentalist and photographer Jeni Magaña. You can listen to “Bad News” on Spotify Here Apple Music Here

Best-known as the current bassist and backing vocalist for Mitski (recently performing on the “Coyote, My Little Brother” “Buffalo Replaced” single), Magaña is also one-half of the pen pin pop duo with Emily Moore, and has previously played with Lady Lamb, amongst others.

In March, she returned to the Magana project after a three-year-absence with the critically acclaimed TeethLP, which reunited her with Audio Antihero Records(Frog / CIAO MALZ / Nosferatu D2)who issued her Golden Tongue debut in 2016. Released to coincide with the peak illumination of the Worm Moon, her return was marked with a Witchy Rock” sound that combined Acid Folk, Synth Pop, and Indie Rock. Magaña followed this in October with DREAMS,’ a multimedia project released via the UK’s Hand Drawn Hand label, which combined Ambient Electronic music with a spoken word dream diary and a book of her photography.

The ‘Bad News’ EP is her third release in a ten month period. Teasingly described by Magaña as Cozy Core” and Winter Pop,these four songs see her return to the singer-songwriter focus of works likeGolden Tongueand Teeth but strip away the Rock and Ambient layers, so to emphasize words, meaning, honesty, and change.

The “Bad News” EP from Magana, is a magnificent collection of well crafted songs that gently warm your soul .

The melody on the opening track, “Half To Death “ is both hauntingly beautiful and inviting , it is the perfect opening track to a wonderful collection of music .

Jeni Magaña’s vocal on “Hold On “, is positively otherworldly. Listening to “Hold On” you really feel artistic core of the EP, “Hold On” is by far our favorite track on “Bad News”

The beauty of “Shower Song “ is the authenticity and honesty that is found in the brilliant and powerful lyrics. We were hanging on every word , “Shower Song” is absolute perfection.

The final track on “Bad News”, “I’m Not Doing Anything “, is a stunningly beautifully arranged track , that artfully blends vocals and melodies to create a jaw dropping and memorable song.

This EP is the last of what I think of as an interconnected trio of releases. ‘Teeth’ was made for spring, a period of growth. It was expansive and exploring. ‘DREAMS’ was made for fall. It was about dusk, the dawning of the restful months. ‘Bad News’ is made for that period of time between the end of winter and the beginning of spring. Stillness before movement. Each song is about the period of time right before a transition: the realization that change is coming or that it needs to come. As the most lyrically driven of the releases, it is mostly about storytelling. I think of each track as a vignette of a moment in time for four different stories.” – Jeni Magaña

If music warms your soul then you owe it to yourself, to listen to “Bad News”, from Magana.

The title of the song really says it all,” Avery elaborates. “I wrote this song about those ‘almost’ relationships that I’ve been in myself and have observed around me — people will act the part of someone in a relationship while not wanting one, or they’ll want a relationship and not act on it. I made this song as a sister-song to ‘you’re just a guy” and, just like that song, this doesn’t feel specifically sad to me, it feels more matter-of-fact. It’s just something I’ve observed that we’ve all experienced and don’t want to experience anymore.”

Originally from Pennsylvania, Avery Lynch embarked on her musical journey at the tender age of 7, composing piano pieces before seamlessly transitioning into songwriting. Now based in Los Angeles, her signature sound, characterized by lush piano arrangements and soft, romantic vocals, has become the cornerstone of her artistry. Each song begins with Avery alone at her piano, crafting heartfelt demos that she later brings to life with her close-knit team.

Every song from Avery Lynch feel like a deep and personal diary entry. Do yourself a favor and check out “the boys who don’t know what they want “

We were absolutely blown away by the big beautiful sound of “I Can’t Get You Out Of My Mind “ from Luke Marzec . The big beautiful soulful sound on the track is absolutely breathtaking.

When asked to describe the sound , Luke shares “It’s a retro sound. It’s a vintage sound but with a twist,”

Taken from his debut album, Something Good Out Of Nothing which will be released in two parts – Side A (release date: March 28) and Side B (to be released in Summer 2025), the single seamlessly balances the spiky, angular verses – that hearken the jazzy R&B vibe of Amy Winehouse – with Marzec’s warm gruff vocals alongside dreamy, reflective choruses and is his most refined and confident work yet. It marks the first release from Swift Half Records, the newly established London-based label that has signed Marzec.

Written during a summer retreat in the woods, “I Can’t Get You Out of My Mind” explores the emotional turbulence of a breakup, opening with a captivating blend of swirling synth arpeggios, before dropping into a captivating groove that fuses funk, soul, and jazz. “We set up a makeshift studio in the woods—a marquee with speakers, a drum machine, and a fire pit. It was raw, intimate, and incredibly inspiring,” recalls Marzec. Inspired by standout tracks from Amy Winehouse’s Back To Black and Arctic Monkeys’ AM, Marzec’s gravelly vocals and sharp songwriting touch on the emotional complexities of loss and regret, guiding listeners through a soundscape of indecision and longing.

If you are looking for your next favorite song , look no further than “I Can’t Get You Out Of My Mind “ from Luke Marzec. It is absolutely amazingly brilliant.

Some songs come along and stop you dead in your tracks, this was absolutely the case with “Prettiest Girl Of Heaven “ from Caroline Strickland. “Prettiest Girl Of Heaven “ is the latest single off of their new EP, Martha’s Calling, out March 7th.

Caroline Strickland creates music that revolves around themes of self actualization and realization, analyzing the tension between our arrogance and tenderness, how we fall in love and how we let go. Driving guitar and smoked out vocals are highlighted with thecoccasional one-string lick or tap on the piano, a sparse style that somehow fills the void.

Strickland details; “‘Prettiest Girl of Heaven’ takes its namesake from a catcall I received walking east in Manhattan Fall 2023. I had just left a shift at Madewell in SoHo. I was crying my eyes out. It was November. I was still in love with my ex. I was going to Mass consistently for the first time since I was 18 years old. And God sent me an angel!!!!!

There is definitely something otherworldly about “Prettiest Girl Of Heaven “ , this is most definitely a song that you can not ignore.

Nude #9 From Camille Schmidt Is One Record You Absolutely Need In Your Life.

Ever since we first heard “XOXO” , from Camille Schmidt, back in November, we were instantly hooked. Our appreciation grew in December, with the release with equally impressive single, “Stanley”

We now have been given the gift of “Nude #9” , the debut album from by Brooklyn- based indie rock meets folk pop singer/songwriter Camille Schmidt, and it is every we imagined and more.

You can listen to “Nude#9” Here .

The ten track collection is a series of revealing and personal portraits—of herself, her family, and former and future lovers. Seamlessly blending the sounds of synth-pop, folk, indie rock and punk, Schmidt’s debut album is a rapturous portrait of a songwriter realizing her full potential.

From start to finish Nude #9, from Camille Schmidt, is an absolute indie masterpiece. Every song is a beautifully crafted music composition that speaks to the mind the heart and soul.

In addition to the two spectacular singles, “XOXO “ and “Stanley” we enjoyed stand out tracks , “Fish Pills” , “Blood Love & Blessings” and “Heaven” . With a collection of such good songs it is impossible to pick a favorite but, the one track that really stood out to us was “Cult In Denver “, it is one of those songs that you become immediately attached to , featuring a hauntingly beautiful melody and perfectly placed vocals … it is a can’t miss.

You can check out the video for “Cult In Denver” below.

The songs that would become Nude #9 began to take shape last December. Working with LA-based producer Ben Zaidi, Schmidt would write at least a song a week; by the end of a few months, she had quickly amassed over 45 new songs. But realizing these songs in the studio was a new process for Schmidt, who recorded Good Person with a live band, “no headphones, and basically no overdubs,” she recalled. For Nude #9, she brought in a group of equally talented musicians—bass from frequent collaborator Eli Heath, sound sculpting from Michael Haldeman (Mk.gee), additional guitar from Sam Acchione (Alex G) and Jacob Drab (Allegra Krieger), and additional percussion from Kane Ritchotte and W. Alexander.

“A lot of these songs were written completely stream of consciousness,” she said of the album. Writing without self-editing was freeing, allowing thoughts to unspool before she had a chance to doubt her intuition. The result is an album that feels at once familiar and completely new at every turn.

Do yourself and go listen to “Nude #9” from Camille Schmidt, you will be absolutely delighted.

Some track have this real cool unexplained vibe to them- Bunt Force Drama “ is definitely one of those tracks .

Guitarist Ted Alvarez says, ““Blunt Force Drama” is a bit representative of the whole recording experience in that the basic structure existed for a while, but it only really took shape at Ocean Sound. You can spend a lot of time rehearsing and think, “yeah, this could be a cool song,” but it’s largely in your mind until you hear all the unknowns — new bassist, new voices, crazy location — fall into place. In my memory, this one came early and quick. I can recall Scott (Evans) blasting an early mix while staring out across a damn fjord and thinking, ‘alright, we might be on to something.’ Not all the songs came together that easily, but I’m glad this one did because it set a bit of a road map for the giant sounds and moods we were going for.”

The melodic tapestry on “Blunt Force Drama” washes over you as a perfectly balanced wave of sound. We were beyond moved by this stunning musical composition.

We are all in on Museum Of Light “ , and their otherworldly new single, “Blunt Force Drama”, as well as the new album “Diviner”

BATTLEFLAGG Delivers Stunning New EP “Solastalgia”

We recently checked out the  new EP Solastalgia from Philadelphia-based singer-songwriter BATTLEFLAGG. You can listen to “Solastalgia”, on Spotify Here and on Apple Music Here

BATTLEFLAGG, is the project of Philadelphia-based singer/songwriter, Jeff Hartwig.

BATTLEFLAGG was conceived in 2020 after demoing a new set of songs and feeling the need to regain some agency in an age of personal, social and political unrest. BATTLEFLAGG, is not so much a band but a collective of like-minded musicians and visual artists, formed during the pandemic to combat an age of creeping cynicism. With a sound that blends traditional rock instrumentation with ambient synths, drum loops and samples, Hartwig’s BATTLEFLAGG songs seek to straddle the Heartland/Americana/Indie rock divides, leaning into direct, heart-on-sleeve lyrics and arena-size, sing-along choruses.

BATTLEFLAGG , encompasses a sound and vibe that pulls from many different musical styles. We found ourselves deeply engaged and connected with every song . The new EP, “Solastalgia “ from BATTLEFLAGG, is a musical adventure you can’t afford to miss.

Solastalgia is defined by philosopher Glenn Albrecht in his 2005 article on the subject as “the homesickness you have when you are still at home,” where you may find your home environment changing in distressing ways. It is a lived evanescence of what you have always known, like standing in one place as the life, memories and places fade away.  Unlike nostalgia, solastalgia is distressing and is often attributed to environmental or other changes completely out of one’s control.”

Produced by Daniel Knowles (Sharon Van Etten, Cigarettes After Sex) the music is inspired by the missed connections while one’s known world disappears into the rearview.

It is crystal clear from listening to “Solastalgia” that Hartwig, has poured his heart and soul into it . The opening track “Ghost” ( which served as the first single) is hauntingly beautiful track .

The second track “I Gotta Love” , has a very upbeat and uplifting feel that is almost gospel like . We also loved the “slow burn mix” of “I Gotta Love” it’s always cool to get different versions of a track. “I Gotta Love “ is definitely a memorable groove that will get you moving.

The title track “Solastalgia” ( 4 a.m. version) is absolute singer-songwriter triumph. Sometimes a song comes along that has a profound effect on the listener, “Solastalgia (4 a.m version) is absolutely one of the songs. Everything on the song is pure perfection.

You need to check out the new EP “Solastalgia” from BATTLEFLAGG, you will thank us later.
