“Love Remains “ is a refreshing and feel good track that you can not help but love . The groove-tasic vibe grabs you from the go and doesn’t let go.

Tha Building was erected by primary songwriter, producer, executive producer, and multi-instrumentalist J. Brewster. Joining Brewster in his funk-soul quest was Bay Area ace guitarist/mixer/co-producer Cam Perridge who worked tirelessly alongside Brewster during the pandemic to procure remote tracks and set up safe in-person sessions. This community of 25-plus hand-selected musicians from the Bay Area and beyond feature the sharpest pro players with firm groundings in funk, hip-hop, and soul, including two Grammy-winning instrumentalists. The powerhouse band makes its entrance with the sleekly soulful debut, Outside Ourselves, which will feature the single, “Love Remains.”

The single, “Love Remains,” features Bay Area hip-hop legend Lyrics Born and oozes mid-1990s R&B-tinged hip-hop. The song vibes classic Dr. Dre production replete with those iconic “Nuthin’ But A ‘G’ Thang” keyboard sounds, but literally comes to life in a full-band setting. The jam packs in little surprises in terms of dynamics, including a bridge during which the song swaggers into a hypnotic hard-rock riff. “Love Remains” also features an infectious melding of vocal approaches, including melodic rhythmic vocals, hooky motific singing, and a fiercely flowing cameo by Lyrics Born.
