Today, the spectacular trio releases “Astronauts” and “Then Again” to Bandcamp Here and if that doesn’t make music lovers smile then … nothing will.

The Rupert Selection are more than just a band they are in fact a sonic and melodic experience that you won’t soon forget.

The first track we checked out was “Astronauts “ We were hooked into “Astronauts “ instantly. The song is melodically and sonically perfect .The band artfully balances noise and melody to create a psychedelic grunge sound that almost feels cinematic at times There are shades of a 90’s feel that make it all feel very familiar however, The Rupert Selection have carefully crafted a sound that is all theirs.

Speaking about “Astronauts “ guitarist and vocalist Reilly Somach commented “Astronauts’ is basically an ode to feeling completely hopeless and trying not to succumb to a world that constantly feels like it is falling apart around you; somehow finding light where there isn’t any.

While “Astronauts “ has this psychedelic grunge road-trip feel “Then Again “ has more of a straight up alt-rock feel . The band as whole cooks up a great groove on “Then Again “ that you just resist. Vocalist Reilly Somach gives an effortless and flawless vocal performance . Speaking on “Then Again “ vocalist Reilly Somach commented

“Then Again’ came just from a stream-of-conscious writing, but I think it’s about being brainwashed or really high and paranoid that everyone’s out to get you.”
