Some songs are so magical and special that you always remember the first time you heard it . We most definitely feel this way about “Crashland” from singer,songwriter, artist and performer Maris.

“Crashland” feels like you are reading a personal diary entry that happens to have the best melodies and beats behind it . We found ourselves hanging on every verse learning of a less than perfect relationship. Melodically the chorus feels like a burst of energy, almost like a break from dealing with the less than stellar relationship.

When asked about the song , Maris commented ‘Crashland’ is one of my favorite songs lyrically…I had ‘I’m devoted to a statue,’ in my old notebook from the time I lived there. As soon as I realized the concept of my time in New York and an up-and-down relationship, the words started to pour out.”

The “Crashland” video (which is magnificent) was co-directed by Maris and was shot in New York City, in theme with the song.
