
We are going to come and say it… We have had July 7th circled on our calendar for quite some time. Well the day has finally arrived and Los Angeles based indie pop-punk band Sweet Gloom has finally released their debut LP “Reverie” via Asian Man Records and it’s an absolute gem of a record (We think we have played it at least 80 billion times ( Ok maybe only 20 billion times )

Lead singer Jaake Margo ( Get Married ) has one of the best and unique voices in rock Today period . Look we live and die music here on The Whole Kameese but a lot of it sounds the same . Sweet Gloom stands out because of the flawless voice of Jaake Margo and the amazing musicianship between (Jaake, lead Vocals and guitar, Chris Clark (Tiny Stills), bass and vocals and Morris Carrillo,drums and backing vocals ) Sweet Gloom has a style and vibe all their own , and you can hear it all over their amazing debut LP “Reverie”

From the opening guitar buzzing on “Already Die” you can feel the incredible energy that Sweet Gloom play with … it is absolutely electrifying.
On “American Honey “ the band is firing on all cylinders. All of the songs on “Reverie” are catchy melodies that stay with you long after the music stops.

We love the sound and vibe on “No Name Girl” the song has this 50’s feel and the harmonies on “No Name Girl” are absolutely breathtaking.
