Roadsick is a band favorite for the record. We wanted a song that felt like it kicked the door down like the DEA from the get go. A song that after we put it out, we would have to play it live. Versus The World who feature members of Lagwagon and Good Riddance really shine with “Roadsick/Roadsick” The song is a melodic tour de force with an insane beat that stays with you for a while ( that’s a good thing ) We honestly can’t get enough of this song . Bitters And Distractions Deliver Absolute Punk Rock Perfection with Video For “Existentialism In A Car “

When we first heard that Long Island,Ny based duo Jeremy Quitko and Travis Johnides better known as Bitters And Distractions were an acoustic duo who played punk rock , we were instantly intrigued

Bitters And Distractions play real honest to goodness punk rock that because it is done acoustically is perhaps the most organic and genuine form of punk we have ever heard . So we found our favorite music video watching spot and checked out the video for “Existentialism In A Car “ which you can watch for yourself below (Spoiler Alert: It’s freaking amazing)

First things first … “Existentialism In A Car” isn’t just a good song…. It’s a freaking Great song. “Existentialism In A Car “ is a brilliantly crafted smartly written song that has an undeniable energy that you can’t ignore.

Style wise Bitters And Distractions remind us very much of Celtic punk in the vein of bands like The Dropkick Murphys and The Rumjacks . They play music that makes you want to raise pint and dance your heart out .

Bitters And Distractions represent everything that is good about music. It’s two guys who absolutely love making music . The song is so catchy that we can neither confirm nor deny but…we have sung the chorus at the top of our lungs while in drop off line at our kid’s school.

As for the video, we love everything about it especially the DIY spirit of this video . The guys looked like they were having a total blast . It felt like we were getting our own personal performance. If your still looking for your new favorite band of 2023 look no further than Bitters And Distractions you won’t regret it .

Belgian Alternative/ Punks Captain Kaiser Come Full Speed with Epic New Single + Video “Drive”

We just checked out the new amazing new single and video for “Drive” from Belgian Alternative/Punks Captain Kaiser.

You can listen to “Drive” on Spotify Here and on Apple Music Here

Drive” is off the band’s forthcoming album Jay Mass-produced LP RHYME&REASON, due out later this year on [PIAS] Recordings.

We were instantly infatuated with “Drive” , what hooked us was the harmonic beginning that slowly built to a perfectly played energetic melody that was absolutely freaking brilliant.

“Drive” is the perfect loud and clear announcement for a new phase of Captain Kaiser ( and we freaking love it ) With a punchier, heavier and more emotional sound, the band’s frontman Sascha Vansant wrote “Drive” after the passing of his mother. Even without knowing this, one can easily hear the pain of loss and the feeling of driving senselessly into nothingness.

Vansant’s lyrics soothe the soul as much as they cut it like a knife. You hear him search for every word, and in the end, the catharsis is deserved. It’s easy to imagine how he looks up to the sky, his band giving it all one more time in a rare euphoric moment on this quite dark, yet life-affirming record

Along with the single the band has also released an epic video for “Drive” you can watch the video below

You can Captain Kaiser on tour in the UK (Feb 18-25) and Germany ( April 3-9) check out more details below .

Captain Kaiser have crafted an absolutely brilliant song that not only plays to your ears but , to your heart and soul as well.

We Just listened to “Life’s So Lonely “ from Stay Out featuring Joe Queer from The Queers And….. It was Freaking Epic!

Before last Friday … We were starting to think our lives here at The Whole Kameese were a tad bit incomplete ( I guess you might say we were a bit lonely) . I mean sure we had the basics- food, water and shelter. But….. Do you want to know what we didn’t have in our lives??…… Well my music loving friends …. We didn’t have the punk rock musical joy that is the band Stay Out . (If we had crazy sound effects and confetti they would go here )

On Friday we powered up the old music playing machine and listened to the newest single “Life’s So Lonely “ from Bay Area punks Stay Out . So not only does the song freaking kick ass but, it features Joe queer from the legendary punk band The Queers . We were hooked on the addictive melodic greatness of “Life’s So Lonely “ The track is a smart and well written punk gem that we simply can’t get enough .

You can check out “Life’s So Lonely “ on Spotify Here and on Apple Music Here

“Life’s So Lonely “ is just the tip of the iceberg for Stay Out in 2023 as they will be releasing a new album in March titled “Just Pretend “

Stay Out is an absolute blast to listen too. Memorable melodies and lyrics ( We can neither confirm or deny we were singing “Life’s So Lonely “ in the bank drive up line this morning) The chemistry and musicianship between Grant Pack, Mason McGeorge , Carl Pospiech and Nate Reynoso is absolutely electrifying and top notch.

We’re super excited for more music from Stay Out . We will have more about the band in the coming months so stay tuned !

Rest Easy “On The Outside “

Vancouver punk rock 4-piece Rest Easy (consisting of members of Daggermouthand Shook Ones) have this incredible energy about them that is simply electric. “On The Outside”, is no exception, the final single to come before the release of the band’s new album titled ‘Hope You’re Okay,’ out October 28 on Mutant League Records.

Now Rest Easy rocks everyday in our book but.. the fact that have an animated video for “On The Outside “ well that’s like next level cool. And….. it stars “Jake” the rat

The excellent video was animated by Phoebe Parsons

Dylan Hossack says, “”On The Outside” is about a friend of mine, a survivor of domestic violence. I think DV is a subject that needs to be talked about more, especially now. I wanted to write a song to help people who are stuck in DV and also to help normalize the conversation. So so many people in this world deal with DV everyday. I hope this song helps them along and at the least lets them know they are not alone.”
